Megyn Kelly Exposes the Ugly Truth About Childhood Gender Transition – to a Liberal Audience
The truth is that childhood gender-affirming care is ruining lives. The dark side of gender transition is just beginning to reveal itself.
In a Friday night appearance on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, Megyn Kelly addressed the irreversible damage being inflicted upon our children by “this trans insanity.”
Before a largely liberal audience, she boldly declared, “We are chopping off the body parts of young children.” After she was openly mocked by the crowd over this remark, Kelly turned to the audience and insisted, “100% we are doing that.”
Maher agreed with her. “We are definitely doing that. That’s what it is. I don’t know what the ooing is about.”
Undeterred by their disgust, Kelly finished her sentence. “Without any inquisition into what’s happening.”
Continuing her remarks, she said:
Pay attention, because I’m about to give you a truth bomb. Kids who are suffering from bullying or who have been sexually assaulted, or who are going through normal puberty and feel uncomfortable in their bodies will say to their parents, ‘I’m not sure, maybe I’m gender confused.’
[The parents] will send them to a psychiatrist or psychologist who are told by our organizations, the American Psychiatry Association and all the others that run their licensing, ‘You must affirm.’ Affirm[ation] is our only standard.
And so the child gets told, ‘You’re right. You are secretly a boy.’ Or vice versa. And the child gets put on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones which sterilize the child and deprive the child of any chance of sexual pleasure for the rest of his or her life. We’re talking about 9, 10, 11-year-olds who cannot give informed consent. Then they have body parts chopped off by a medical establishment and by parents who mean well, but believe in these doctors and they shouldn’t.
And when they inevitably get past the awkwardness of puberty or what have you and they want to turn around and detransition, those who love bombed them on Reddit saying, ‘Come on in, the water’s fine,’ abandon them. They are depressed. They have changed their bodies forever in a way that is irreversible. And we are all sitting back saying, ‘It’s a remote issue,’ as Kamala Harris said. It’s not remote. It’s the issue of our time with respect to children and women’s rights.”
When her monolog was over, the audience, which moments earlier had openly jeered her, applauded Kelly.
She presented a compelling look at the dark side of childhood gender transition.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) defines “transitioning” as “the process a person undertakes to bring their gender expression and/or their body into alignment with their gender identity.”
The Left has shamelessly celebrated the transgender movement with little regard for the devastation and hopelessness that often awaits patients after they transition. Gender ideology, the idea that gender is a fluid construct rather than an undeniable biological fact, has made its way into just about every part of our culture, from Hollywood films to public school curricula. And it has now made its way into our medical system, with potentially grievous consequences for young children and adults.
Because transitioning is a relatively new trend and the process itself takes a certain amount of time, there’s not much history available to gauge its success, or more likely, its failure. And this is especially true as it relates to children.
A 2023 study from the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law found that “81% of transgender adults in the U.S. have thought about suicide, 42% of transgender adults have attempted it, and 56% have engaged in non-suicidal self-injury over their lifetimes.” If levels of unhappiness are this high among transgender adults who have presumably thought through their decisions to transition more thoroughly and more mindfully than a child would, how much worse are the statistics for children?
Yet, the Left embraces the trans movement. They praise gender-confused individuals for their courage. Woke Democratic politicians promote legislation to cement “gender identity” into our legal code. And many parents rush their children, whom they believe are suffering from gender dysphoria, to clinics to “fix” the problem.
But what if these children are instead struggling with trauma, depression, internalized homophobia, or something else? And what if they undergo hormone treatment or worse, an irreversible surgical procedure, and then realize they’ve made a terrible mistake?
We don’t allow children to vote, or to buy cigarettes, alcohol, or guns. Why would any parent allow their child to transition? Unfortunately, this scenario is playing out with increasing frequency, and the results are often heartbreaking.
The truth is that childhood gender-affirming care is ruining lives. The dark side of gender transition is just beginning to reveal itself. And Megyn Kelly is right to use her enormous platform to bring awareness to this issue.

thinking that this whole transitioning of children into something they are not is the perfect metaphor/personification(?) for what america is going through at the exact same time
we are transitioning into an african tribal country as we have already gone through our regression to 1500 europe and are being led by racists aka leftists who are living like queens and kings and forcing the rest of us into a decrease in the use of our best technologies/resources ( fossil fuel/nat gas)

Here’s a better question. What if parents actually did their jobs not try to be their kids’ friends, don’t reinforce any of their kids’ bullshit, and raised them with good, moral, proper instruction and disciplined them when they stepped out of line?
Somehow that worked for 200 years of this country’s existence, but once we decided therapy was better than parenting some fifty years ago or so, everything started going to shit.
These Dhimmi-crats in Maher’s audience are contemptibly stupid, morally bankrupt and obtuse.
Wait until the class-action lawsuits start getting filed against physicians, practice groups and hospitals, for their evil manipulation, exploitation, abuse and mutilation of emotionally vulnerable and impressionable children and teens who are undergoing totally common and normal unease at their bodies’ natural development.

These people are beyond rational argument. Your team jersey tells them all they need to know about whether they love or hate you. If it’s the wrong color, you are a subhuman who deserves to be burned.
Yep. For many folks political support has become about the tribe of GoP or d/prog and not the issues. Hell many don’t want to know and do not know the candidate/party positions on the issues. The d/prog are really bad on this point but some on the right fall into tribal thinking over religion or national origin going so far as to exclude/ostracize over it even where the person is a law abiding, tax paying Citizen.
There are plenty of law-abiding, taxpaying citizens who would like nothing more than to curtail my rights. Some of them are even Republicans, but most often they are Democrats. Because those are their official policies, and when you find a Democrat who does reject even one of their party’s defining policies for a rational or moral reason, chances are good you are looking at someone who will be traveling the Naomi Wolf/RFKJ/Gabbard/Musk/Trump trail within a decade.
(Never forget Trump was an NY Democrat. That must be burning holes in elite Democrat stomachs every day.)

As suggested, much better would be to investigate possible sexual abuse or other emotional issues and psych diagnoses than do the “affirmation”/ enabling and encouraging delusional thinking

Before this was political I read on Johns Hopkins web site that they were the first or one of the first to offer gender transition care. They had some meetings about this being ethical, but a long term study in Switzerland of those who transitioned was published and among other things the study found that later in life these people were 40% more likely to die of suicide. With that Johns Hopkins made psychological counseling a first priority until now when it’s the law to provide gender transition.

From the very, very beginning it was clear that this whole idea was completely insane and depraved. Then, when they started preying on the children with this it became completely and utterly evil and criminal – from the very first second.

England’s Tavistock center was shut down when an audit revealed that as many as all of the young males who were chemically or surgically castrated were same sex attracted, and about 90% of them were autistic. They were “transing the gay away.”
The very same people who are doing this think it should be illegal, and in some places have made it illegal, to suggest to gays that sex is malleable and they could possibly become straight if they tried to. “Conversion therapy” is actually a crime in California, for instance.
Yet they think it’s perfectly fine to dupe fairy boys into castrating themselves, cutting themselves off the gay community they would otherwise end up joining, once they figure out that they’re gay.
John Money was the quack who famously told the parents of a victim of a botched circumcision to raise the boy (who had a twin brother) as a girl and everything would work out, because “gender is a social construct.” He lied about the “success” of his perverted experiment, and during counseling sessions often had the twins engage in sexual depravity. The twin raised as a girl persisted in engaging in “boy behavior,” and eventually found out the truth. Both twins suffered from mental problems and wound up dead due to suicide.

And just yesterday the story broke of a “physician” who has been doing this for 2 decades hid the results of a study she did that contradicted her belief in youth transitioning. When “The Science ™” goes against your ideology, hide the science.

Sadly, Kelly gets this wrong.
In Kalifornia the g’vment has taken kids away from parents to trans their kid, and I’m sure ya’all have read stories of one parent fighting the other over forcing their kid to switch (usually dad fighting against, which leads to…) and have seen absolutely nutball mothers happy-dancing that their 6-yr old boy has “wanted to be a girl since he was 2”.
Finally, any parent who allows this to happen to their non-adult child is not even close to being fit to be a parent
We, as a country, need to ban this sh** NOW.
