As an avid follower of LI I am disappointed at the recurring demonization of Alinsky. I am an Alinsky-trained center-right organizer with success in using Alinksy’s principles to build democratic black-white coalitions. Alinsky was non-ideological. Blaming him for the damage wrought by Obama and the left is no different than blaming gun manufacturers for gun violence. His ideas have been used widely, including the right, most notably the tea party. The real complaint isn’t Alinsky’s ideas, but rather that the center-right and right have allowed themselves to be out-organized by the left. Stop crying and organize!
