Cbz Management, a New York-based company, pushed back against claims that the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua has taken over apartment complexes in Aurora, CO.
The company is furious the MSM and the left are trying to downplay the situation its tenants and workers face in Aurora.
The citations began in 2020 and only got worse during the Biden-Harris administration.
We started managing these buildings when new owners acquired the Colorado properties in 2019. At the time, the properties were in poor condition, and our mission was to renovate them, thereby increasing their value. This was an ambitious project that would significantly benefit the people of Aurora while providing returns to the new owners. We understood this project would take years to yield results and would be both time-consuming and costly, involving comprehensive upgrades to every unit and the overall structure. To manage the project effectively, given our New York-based operations, our representative moved to Colorado with his family. We also undertook a complete renovation of nearly every unit in the now well-known building you’ve seen in the news. (The images shown depict our newly renovated apartments.)Everything was progressing smoothly: property values were rising, and vacancy rates were dropping. It was a win-win for both the owners and the city of Aurora. Then, the gangs arrived…
The next post featured a picture of the beaten-up apartment worker:
After some time, we noticed a rise in crime and tenant complaints. The most alarming moment occurred when our local CBZ representative was attacked at the end of 2023.He had gone to inspect a recently vacated three-bedroom apartment (a rare occurrence for such a large unit) only to find a group of men already inside. When he refused their $500 bribe to overlook the situation, they brutally attacked him. (This photo was taken shortly after he escaped, just before being admitted to the hospital. The video footage comes from one of our security cameras, capturing part of the assault.)
The left and Democrats ripped Republican VP candidate Sen. JD Vance over his response to ABC’s Martha Raddatz, who claimed the gang only took over a “handful” of complexes.
I don’t know about you, but taking over one complex is one too many.
Chrissy Clark, a Newsmax contributor, spoke to the man in the photo.
The attack happened in November 23. It’s disturbing (emphasis mine):
I spoke directly with the man pictured below — a contractor for CBZ Management who was BEATEN by illegal immigrants for attempting to do his job.He claims that this attack happened in Nov. 2023 and a detective on the case told him there was no point in going after the attackers, as a judge would likely let this migrant go.That officer was right. In July (after the mgmt co met w/ the FBI), the DA for Arapahoe County opened a case against the attacker (an ILLEGAL immigrant) & the man pictured below gave testimony.Ultimately, the DA let the illegal man go free in September. The man pictured below was beaten, investigated by police for alleged code violations, & sent into the overrun building to investigate. He believes the Aurora Police used him to do their job.He claims there are more employees who were harmed, beaten, or had firearms held against them that have yet to speak out. This is just the tip of the story.
Yup. The authorities let the illegal go free and investigated the beaten-up man.
A woman called it a “slap in the face,” the way watching the media and Democrats water down the story.
Cindy Romero fled her apartment because of the gangs:
“I feel like it’s a slap in the face,” Cindy Romero told Fox News Digital. “How many gangs is okay to have in Aurora? How many properties is okay to take over? How many people, who are citizens paying their bills, is it okay to displace?”—The couple’s security cameras recorded a group of men with guns forcing their way into a neighbor’s house. Several shootouts occurred at the complex, Romero said. During one, a bullet hit her car. She said police rarely responded to her 911 calls.”I feel like the mayor and the governor and the [police] all downplay the situation,” Romero said. “I was pushed out of my apartment by gang activity, people carrying guns in the hallway and patrolling the grounds with guns.”
I mean, the police literally arrested members of the gang in connection to apartment takeovers.
