Gaza Terror Tunnel Where Hamas Executed 6 Hostages Opened Inside Children’s Room

The Hamas terror tunnel, where the body of six murdered Israeli hostages were recovered recently, was hidden beneath a children’s play room. The Israeli military on Wednesday released a video showing the tunnel shaft that opened in a children’s room containing stuffed toys and wall paintings of faires and comic figures.

“The shaft leading to the tunnel in which the bodies of the hostages Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alex Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and MSG Ori Danino were recovered from was located next to stuffed animals and wall art of cartoon characters in a children’s play area,” the IDF said in press release.

Israeli soldiers on Saturday recovered the bullet-riddled bodies of six hostages, including two women, who were murdered by Hamas terrorists in Gaza captivity. They were executed at point-blank range hours before the IDF rescue teams approached the area, autopsy reports show.

The bodies belonged to American-Israel Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, Eden Yerushalmi, 24, Ori Danino, 25, Alex Lubnov, 32, Carmel Gat, 40, and Almog Sarusi, 27. All of them were taken captive by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

“The troops of the 162nd Division and the ISA located the shaft leading to the tunnel in an area surrounded by the enemy and extensively booby-trapped,” the military disclosed. “This is a further example of how Hamas abuses civilian areas to hold hostages and carry out its terrorist activities.”

The Jerusalem Post reported the discovery of the Hamas hostage tunnel underneath a children’s play room:

The IDF found the shaft to the tunnel in which the bodies of the hostages Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Ori Danino, were found Saturday in a children’s yard, the IDF reported on Wednesday. In a published video, a soldier explained that the IDF received clear intelligence about the location of the tunnel shaft, leading the IDF to operate in that precise location.”As you can see, the tunnel was hidden in a child’s yard, a place where a child should be safe, and not used as a human shield for Hamas,” the soldier said in the video. The IDF’s 162nd Division and the Shin Bet located the shaft in a children’s yard, in a civilian area filled with traps. The IDF stated, “This is another example of Hamas’s cynical use of civilian space for terrorist activity.”

The is not the first instance Hamas has used children’s rooms to cover up its terror tunnel shafts. In a bid to conceal its terrorist infrastructure and maximize Palestinian civilian deaths, the jihadist group has systematically built its terror tunnels and underground weapons dumps beneath kindergartens, schools, mosques and hospitals.

Israeli airstrike destroys Hamas base hidden in Gaza humanitarian area

IDF’s Apache helicopters destroyed a Hamas command and control center hidden in a humanitarian area in northern Gaza. “Over the past night, based on IDF and ISA intelligence, IAF aircrafts conducted a targeted strike on terrorists who operated in a Command and Control Center used by the Hamas terrorist organizations and the Islamic Jihad, which was embedded in the humanitarian area in Deir al-Balah,” the IDF said in press release Wednesday morning.

The terrorist base, located near the Gaza City, was being used to plan imminent attacks on Israel. “The Command and Control Center was used by the terrorists as a terror infrastructure from which terror attacks were planned and directed against IDF troops and the State of Israel,” the military noted. “The strike was conducted to remove an immediate threat.”

Several senior Hamas terror operatives were eliminated in the overnight strike, reports suggest.

Hamas releases messages of Israeli hostages before execution

In a depraved attempt to torment the families of murdered hostages and demoralize the Israeli people, Hamas on Wednesday released videos of two captives before their execution this week.

The terrorist group posted the last massages of 40-year-old female hostage Carmel Gat and 32-year-old Alex Lobanov. Gat was kidnapped by Hamas terrorist from her parents home in Kibbutz Be’eri and Lobanov from the Nova music festival.

The Times of Israel reports:

Palestinian terror group Hamas on Wednesday released a video clip of two hostages whose bodies were among six captives discovered by the IDF last week in a Gaza Strip tunnel after they were executed.A video posted to a Hamas Telegram channel featured Carmel Gat, 40, and Alex Lobanov, 32.Hamas has previously issued similar videos of hostages it is holding, in what Israel says is psychological warfare. The six hostages whose bodies were recovered over the weekend — Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gat, and Almog Sarusi — were killed just days before troops found them, according to autopsies and the IDF.Earlier this week Hamas published videos of two other slain hostages, Yerushalmi and Danino. Most Israeli media outlets do not carry the video clips. Israeli authorities and human rights groups assert that hostages are coerced into making their remarks in the videos. However, Gat’s family permitted parts of the section of the video featuring her to be published and its contents reported.Gat spoke Hebrew in the video, which had English and Arabic subtitles. It was not known when the video was made but in it, Carmel gave her age as 39; she turned 40 in May while in captivity. She said she is being held “with little food or water, and poor hygiene conditions.”
