Sen. Blumenthal: Americans Will be ‘Appalled’ by Security Failures in Trump Assassination Attempt Report
“…American people are going to be shocked, astonished and appalled by what we will report to them about the failures by the Secret Service…”
The Secret Service gave senators a report on its investigation into the security failures at Donald Trump’s rally where someone tried to kill him.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) fumed about the report to reporters.
I’d say he’s itching for the Senate to release their interim report:
“I think the American people are going to be shocked, astonished and appalled by what we will report to them about the failures by the Secret Service in this assassination attempt on the former president,” Blumenthal told Fox News. “But I think they also ought to be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to be more forthcoming, to be as candid and frank, as it should be to them in terms of providing information.”
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) promised the public the Senate report will be bipartisan, which, for once, I truly believe.
Johnson said the senators voiced some “frustration” with acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe during the presentation.
Who knows when we’re going to get any information.
Apparently, Rowe still needs to gather more information before the senators can put together their report.

Uh … we already are appalled. We want to see people arrested and sitting in prison – people who are really behind this, like Traitor Joe, Mayorkas, half the Secret Service, the traitors in the FBI, etc. Probably most of the same people who were involved in the fake Jan 6 pipe bombing and subsequent persecutions.
And whatever happened to the cell phone that pinged at Crooks’ home and/or workplace and pinged in Washington D.C. at an FBI office?? Huh??

I haven’t heard anything about this since it came out and I never heard anything about this from any politicians or official “investigators”.

It was all so well plotted out. And then Trump turned his head.
Trump’s head turn only worked because the shooters were so far off centre-mass of the man’s head they were nearly missing already. Think about it. An adult male’s head averaged between five and six inches across. At the range involved, that is an YUUUUUGE target. (I have watched a man with an AR pattern rifle put ten rounds in a one and a half inch diameter circle at FOUR HUNDRED YARDS in thirty seconds, prone position using only a sling, no bipod or sandbag. (glad HE is on our side….)
Audio forensic analysis has four rounds in normal cadence fired from a range of 145 to 150 yards, (probably by Crooks) followed by two rounds in VERY close timing, so close it cannot be semiauto fire, but two shooters at same location (speculated to be two shooters in the upper floor windows of the building from which roof Crooks was firing, largely based on the distances from target ), fired from a range of about 175 to 180 yards, then a seventh shot fired from a range of (as I remember) about three hundred yards, far more distant than the first six. Possible location aop the nearby waer tower, but the tech running the forensic audio analysis did not know the range from that point, so would not speculate further).
Word is that Crooks was not that great a shot, but if the two in the window were special hires they WOULD be. The scenario seems to be that Crooks was the hired patsy/sacrificial lamb to present a relatively “innocen” cover for the two REALassassins who WOULD have been crack shots to be even selected for the job. If either of them had an accurate sight picture of their assigned target AND were skilled riflemen, Trump’s head turn would have made NO difference. Bear in mind, the human head is a bit longer front to back than it is wide. Thus when rotated on its vertical axis it will actually slightly widen the apparent target size.
I would like to learn the identity of thee two men and have their cell phone geolocating data carefully analised for the day in question. Two SS agents WERE seen in that window earlier in the day. WHO are hey?

You don’t have this level of incompetence in security for a former President and current candidate for president, unless it is arranged by malicious and willful design.
And that malice was more than proven by how Traitor Joe and his junta used Secret Service protection (or refusal to provide it) as a political weapon against RFK, JR. … who only finally got secret service protection after TRUMP DEMANDED he get it after the assassination attempt.

One of the two … because 999,999 out of a million that was a direct head shot that killed him on the spot. It was only by the thinnest margin that Trump is still alive. Traitor Joe and his junta were ready to ride into the election with, essentially, no competition at all – and it would have happened at just the exact time that the walls were closing in on Traitor Joe …

No, Trump was wrong. This report does not vindicate his claims in any way. The woman was NOT Haitian. And it didn’t happen in Springfield. There continues to be NO evidence whatsoever of Haitians eating people’s pets.
At least Blumenthal is smart enough to realize that a politicized US Secret Service run by ideological hacks is a really bad idea since it could be his party out of favor next time.
The awful news is that it wasn’t a failure.
It’s apparent that Trump was guarded, not by the A-team, but by F-Troop. Let’s not forget that he is not just a candidate, but also an ex-president. I wonder if anyone will ask if Obama, Clinton, Bush et al. are also being guarded by equally inept agents, or did he get special treatment?

I still wonder why this political rally had networks present that had not been to other rallies and photographers shooting at high enough speed to catch a bullet just behind the president’s head.
My tinfoil hat says someone knew something was possibly going to happen and they (media and photographers) wanted that “one image”.
Is that really true, about the network coverage? I’ve seen this claim a couple of times, but I haven’t seen it confirmed. It seems like it would be a big deal, but I haven’t seen anyone prominent calling attention to it.
There were more reporters at this rally than at previous ones, because there was a possibility that he would announce his running mate, and because it was so close to the convention.
The Democrats getting their ire up about this looks a bit odd. Until you think, “Well, they’re worried their own protectors might turn on them one day.”
