Kamala Harris Endorsed by National Treasury Employees Union

Kamala Harris Endorsed by National Treasury Employees Union

The union also bragged about Harris’s phantom tough policies on the border and support for agents.

The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) endorsed VP Kamala Harris for president.

Yes, the union representing federal employees in 35 departments and agencies endorsed Harris.

The union includes the IRS, which explains why NTEU President Doreen Greenwald praised Harris and the Inflation Reduction Act:

Harris’ role as vice president in one of the most pro-labor administrations in history is another major factor in the endorsement decision. Vice President Harris personally led the administration’s efforts to expand workers’ rights as Chair of the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment, which leveled the playing field for federal employee unions and improved organizing efforts. Working with Congress, the administration also delivered agency budgets that provide federal employees with additional staffing and resources, including significant new investments to rebuild the IRS under the Inflation Reduction Act.

That “reduction” act gives $80 billion to the IRS and hires over 87,000 new agents.

Harris, as VP, cast the tie-breaking vote to make the IRS an even larger government agency! The agency already has 78,661 full-time employees.

The NTEU also boasted Harris’s phantom support for our border and those who risk everything to protect the border from the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous policies:

“Harris’ commitment to sign the 2024 bipartisan border bill and increase staffing so our members at Customs and Border Protection can do their jobs securing the border at the ports of entry are examples of her commitment to ensuring federal agencies are properly funded and staffed, which is one of the many reasons why all Americans should vote for Kamala Harris,” Greenwald said.

Yeah…the union represents DHS.

That doesn’t mean anything because we’ve heard from the border patrol. Agents have not said anything about the Biden-Harris administration.

Over a dozen agents said in August:

The agents, who spoke to the Examiner on the condition of anonymity, expressed their concerns that a Harris presidency would “continue the same failed policies as Biden” and even exacerbate the border crisis.

“These past four years have been a nightmare for the patrol, and it would be another four years of the same—and probably worse than Biden, honestly,” one agent told the outlet.

“Nothing has been done to show support for Border Patrol Agents or the mission in the past four years,” another interviewed agent said. “I fear having another four years of the same thing would be even more detrimental to the homeland if Harris becomes president.”

Let’s not forget how she demeaned the agents back in 2021, spreading misinformation that the agents whipped Haitian migrants at the border.

Harris even said the footage evoked slavery.

I am a CPA and deal with the IRS extensively. As a result of Covid, the quality of performance by the IRS dropped dramatically and the processing errors skyrocketed. A large portion of IRS personnel work from home,. Due to processing errors, the need to contact the IRS has increased 3-5x while at the same time, working from home cuts the employees ability to answer calls in half.

The IRS doesnt need more employees or money, they just need employees to work a full 8 hour day and quit making so many errors. Many of the errors appear to be intentional – ie the employees are instructed by the supervisors t0 make specific errors.

Apparatchiks feathering their beds.

Lois Lerner’s union…

None other than FDR believed that collective bargaining agreements were incompatible with public sector work. The very nature and purposes of our system of government made it impossible to bind the employer (US tax payer) to any extra-constitutional barganing agreement outside the democratic process.

Public unions should be illegal.

Unions violate rule of law in the first place. X and Y should not be able to gain more legal rights against Z by combining forces than they had individually. In particular they can’t force Z to negotiate with them.

I don’t understand why gov employees need a union and why they are allowed to endorse anyone while representing gov employees.

To rub their immunity from the law in our faces.

It’s just another example of what Mike Benz explained to Tucker.
This is precisely the sort of mechanism by which leftists redefine “democracy” from “taking direction from the people” to “taking direction from ‘democratic institutions,'” all of which are leftist-captured NGOs that “represent” the people without giving them any real say.
    Like public unions endorsing Kamala.
Like the Teamsters Union, declining to endorse Trump, the choice of their own members.

I think it was JFK who allowed the unionization of federal employees, one of the biggest and most destructive mistakes in U.S. history.

Who represents U.S. taxpayers, at the bargaining table? No one; certainly not the vile Dhimmi-crats, who are completely in the unions’ corner.

Unions with closed shop, or near-closed shop, powers are un-Constitutional Government worker unions are an offense to the intellect and nothing less than a gang-raping of the Constitution.

With government worker unions you have people on both sides of a negotiation with ZERO personal capital at stake and a nearly unlimited supply of other people’s money to “negotiate” over, along with a workforce that is subject to no sort of objective performance review (there is no profit even expected – q) and answerable to no one with any ownership interest in the entity. It is INSANE!!!

The NTEU represents legacy U.S. Customs employees which are now known as CBP Office of Field Operations. They work at the Ports of Entry and wear blue uniforms.
AFGE represents legacy U.S. Border Patrol agents who are now known as CBP USBP. They wear the same green uniform and work the international border between the POEs.
Two different agencies, two different FERS retirement systems, and the Border Patrol doesn’t support Harris…

Not a significant union as such, the union for movie theatre employees is bigger. It would be more significant to see total membership of unions who have endorsed either candidate.

I do find it interesting that the UAW endorsed Harris. My understanding of comparison of trump/Bidden policies was that we’d lose more auto worker jobs under Bidden and gain some back under Trump. Harris to my knowledge doesn’t differ from Bidden on jobs. And both are lying about the economy – you can’t fix what you broke if you won’t admit you broke it.

So the question is – what’s in it for the union bosses that makes it worthwhile to sell out their union members?

Golly gee, what a surprise that the folks depending upon a taxpayer funded paycheck/retirement support the candidate of the political party determined to raise taxes to grow the size and scope of gov’t.

You mean the "Inflation Reduction Act" that Joe admitted had nothing to do with reducing inflation and everything to do about imposing the democrat green agenda on the United States whether we wanted it or not? That Inflation Reduction Act?

What a surprise that unions that represent a bunch of parasites that create no real value in the economy support a communist…

The apparatchiks of the federal bureaucracy are worse than worthless.

In the private sector, a company would hire Deloitte, Anderson, McKinsey or KPMG to conduct a top-down report, which would result in 99% of this useless fat being surgically excised.

But, the federal government is unaccountable to the taxpayers who fund it, and, thus has no such restraints imposed upon it.

destroycommunism | September 21, 2024 at 8:31 pm

so then they’d be for trump if they wanted the border secure

and just more proof that the usa is taken hostage by the public sector unions

so while they cry over the electoral college

the real danger is public sector unionists

The Deep State and obscenely and indefensibly bloated, unaccountable and profligate federal bureaucracy, and, its arrogant, useless and overpaid apparatchiks, support crone-harlot, Harris.

Shocker.
