Illegal Alien Charged With Stealing U.S. Citizen’s Identity to Vote in Elections
She voted in the 2016 and 2020 primaries and general elections.
An illegal alien will plead guilty to charges of stealing a person’s identity to vote in elections and illegally obtaining a passport.
“A nine-count information filed in U.S. District Court charges Angelica Maria Francisco, 42, most recently of Russellville, with false claims of citizenship in connection with voting, false statements in application for a United States passport, use of a United States passport obtained by false statements, and aggravated identity theft,” according to a DOJ press release. “A plea agreement was filed with the information, indicating that Francisco has agreed to plead guilty to all of the charges.”
- False claims of citizenship in connection with voting
- False statements in application for a United States Passport
- Use of a United States passport obtained by false statements
- Aggravated identity theft
The indictment states that “Francisco assumed the identity of a United States citizen in or around 2011.” She used the stolen identity to obtain a passport.
Francisco used the passport to travel to Guatemala in 2012, 2015, and 2018. She renewed the passport in 2021 and traveled back home in 2022.
Francisco also the identity to register to vote in Alabama in 2016. She voted in the 2016 and 2020 primaries and general elections.
“I have been very clear that a top priority of this Office is ensuring only eligible American citizens are voting in Alabama elections,” said Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen. “I want to thank the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Alabama for their diligent efforts investigating and charging this individual. We will continue to assist law enforcement in every way possible as they prosecute individuals who vote illegally in Alabama elections to the fullest extent of the law.”

Let me guess…she voted for Trump.
Perhaps we should start publicly welcoming the foreign actors to participate in our election process, along with a nod and a wink that they will vote for Trump.
That would stem the tide.
No need to welcome them in – just wire up the CBPONE app to select state voting systems and let them vote without leaving Austrailia and other reasonable locations.
Very publicly eject her from the country and seize all of her assets.
The word will get around faster than using fake “asylum” claims to get into the country illegally.
Said ejection to take place from half a mile altitude.
Over land or water?
Would really like to see a copy of that Plea Agreement to see what punishment Angelica Maria Francisco has agreed to. Figuring it’s just going to amount to not much more than a slap on the wrist punishment with no chance she’ll be deported from the country for her illegal acts and actions. Figure it’s probation with a promise not to vote in federal elections any longer. But not much more.
I have been repeatedly told that this never happens yet I read stories to the contrary nearly every day.
In the same way that a nation without borders is not a nation at all, a nation without secure elections is not a nation either.
And if you subscribe to the Cloward Piven Strategy, this is a desirable outcome of the Marxist left in this country.
Unless and until we get serious about election security we are going to be in for a world of hurt.
My suggestions (in no particular order and not exhaustive):
1) Election Day is a national holiday. Everything other than polling stations is closed.
2) Paper ballots only. No internet.
3) You must be a U.S. citizen and present a valid government issued ID that matches the voter roll.
4) Absentee voting and mail in voting are not allowed. If you want to vote, show up or shut up.
5) Tabulations must be completed by 11:59PM otherwise those votes do not count.
6) The punishment for election fraud needs to be incredibly severe. Stuff a ballot box? Put butcher paper over the windows of a polling station to obscure tabulation? Vote when you are not legally allowed to do so? You’re looking at hard time. For deeds such as what we strongly suspect occurred in 2020 in the middle of the night that deprived the American people of their legitimate representative in the White House? I think that should be a capital offense.
Build a soulless prison above the arctic circle for those convicted of election fraud so they can think long and hard about their treason in the dark and cold.
Put a few away and that will serve as deterrent for all.
Disagree on the national holiday. If you have to bribe people with a day off work, I don’t particularly want them voting.
Absentee voting must be allowed or you disenfranchise whole swaths of the electorate who are also responsible people. But it can be in-person at the registrar’s office, and via in-person visits to military units (and embassies).
That government ID must be a photo ID.
While the internet is a problem, it’s not the worst one for electronic voting. Paper ballots is good.
The point is not to “bribe people with a day off work.” The point is to “bar employers from preventing their employees from voting.”
Not to say it will work. You going to close hospitals, fire stations, cop shops?
Absentee ballots? For Military and Overseas voters and Students attended an Education program out of State? Sure. So long as that and their ID+ voter registration data is verified by the Clerk and they apply in time and their registration is checked against the Voter Registration list of that second State to ensure they ain’t trying to pull one over and get a ballot in two places.
What other ‘swaths’ of the electorate would be ‘disenfranchised’ by being required to vote in person on election day in the precinct they are registered in? So far as I am aware no one is gonna lock them out if they show up there on election day with a valid ID and have a valid voter registration.
People who are traveling would also be disenfranchised. Sometimes it’s for work and can’t be avoided. Again, as I did the single time I voted absentee after getting out of the military, I went to the registrar’s office and told them I would be travelling over the election, and they checked all my bona fides and handed me a ballot to complete right there. That should work for almost everyone. Anyone homebound or otherwise impaired can get a visit from the registrar. (Though there have been problems some places with that being abused.)
Well being an Overseas voter is already covered. Choosing to travel on election day for leisure isn’t a compelling reason to offer an absentee ballot IMO.
Homebound could get a physician letter and their own letter appointing a Spouse/Child/Sibling/Parent as the person to transport/turn in the ballot ….along with everyone’s ID and all double checked to make.sure no scam is going on.
Bottom line IMO is a single day of in person voting should be the standard. Very minimal exceptions based on unavoidable reasons outside your control for Military service, overseas employment, out of State education or medical reason. Anything beyond those and we start down a never-ending road of ‘well…we gave that guy and his sob story an absentee ballot so why not give this guy one’…and the next and the next ad infinitum. Hard fast lines are the answer.
“I have been repeatedly told that this never happens yet I read stories to the contrary nearly every day.”
And oh, by the way, the vax is safe and effective, and nobody wants to take your guns, either.
Its been literally years since the last story about an actual case of voter fraud unless you count Trump electoral collage slate fake electors
This thing never happens.
When this thing happens it doesn’t make a difference. <— Currently here
This thing happens and is a good thing.
Voter fraud itself isn’t all that rare. What is rare is the ability to detect it.
That’s too small to matter. The thing to watch is wholesale ballot fraud, like the DMV registering illegals to vote automatically and a computer program stripping the names and filling out mail-in ballots for them, without any participation of the illegals.
You working on just that now? Or was that your job in 2020?
You have no idea what you can do with computers once computers are part of the process.
Computers do not do what the code says they will do and what everybody has checked that they do. There is no check that can certify a computer.
Interested? See Ken Thompson’s Turning Lecture “On Trusting Trust.” The only protection is lack of motivation, which lack we do not have in elections.
Here’s the paper, if you can read C.

That’s one of the dumbest things you’ve ever said.
Somebody obviously didn’t get the memo:
Illegal alien invaders do not get charged with crimes.
Law-abiding American citizens get charged with crimes.
First of all, nobody was ever told that illegal voting never happens. The question has never been whether it happens, but how often; and we still don’t have a good answer for that. All we can say about is that Democrats go out of their way to make it as easy as possible, and the fact that very very few people are caught may simply be because of how hard it is to get caught.
But also, what is “this” that we have here. This is not a story about illegal voting. It’s a story about identity theft. This woman stole the identity of a real person, applied for and got a passport in her name, lived under that name, and one of the things she did in order to establish her false identity was to vote. It would be ridiculous to suppose that her purpose in doing all this was to vote; voting was just a way to establish her bona fides. There’s no way to know how she voted; as someone with a US passport she would have no reason to support open borders (or to oppose them).
It’s also ridiculous to suppose that this is happening on a huge scale, let alone that the reason the Democrats have opened the border is so that people will do this. For one thing, if the Democrats’ goal is to have people vote under stolen identities, why do they need aliens? Surely they can do it much more easily themselves. There is no vote fraud scheme that requires masses of illegal aliens, or that such masses could help with.
No, if the Dems’ motive really is for electoral gain, it’s in the long term, not for the next election. They hope first to increase the non-voting population of their states and districts, so they can get the benefit of the extra representation without having their votes diluted by the extra people. That is long-term because it has no effect until the next census.
And in the longer term they hope that when these people’s citizen children are old enough to vote they will vote Democrat. And they plan eventually to have some sort of amnesty that will get the illegals themselves becoming legal, and then several years later earning citizenship, and then voting Democrat. Legally, not fraudulently.
But their fraud operations that they’ve been running for well over a century don’t depend on illegal immigration at all. They handle much of it themselves, and they also make it as easy as possible for individuals to cast fraudulent votes, in the expectation that most (though not all) such votes will favor them.
No, Milhouse. Despite your pedantry, this IS a story about illegal voting. In a fashion that absolutely disenfranchised someone else.
It’s true that Dem voting fraud schemes don’t rely on illegal aliens. But this illegal aliens are a multi-faceted method to break down American resistance to globalism. And one of those facets is through voting fraud. It includes actual voting AND putting more names on the rolls that can be slapped on a ballot and processed when that late night vote counting isn’t going well.
Illegal immigration doesn’t help them put names on the roll, since the immigrants themselves are ineligible to enroll. Putting them on illegally is no easier than just making up names, and in fact more difficult since there’s a chance that the real person will find out and object. Made up people never object, and never try to vote themselves, so the risk of detection is less.
“It would be ridiculous to suppose that her purpose in doing all this was to vote; voting was just a way to establish her bona fides.”
A ridiculous statement. Plenty of bona fide people never vote at all.
