DOJ: Use ‘Incident’ and ‘Apparent’ to Describe Trump Assassination Attempt
Oh, so now Merrick Garland is careful with his language. You know, not when targeting concerned parents, pro-life protesters, or Catholics.
Oh, so now Attorney General Merrick Garland carefully chooses his words.
Garland describes the situation at former President Donald Trump’s golf course as an “apparent” assassination attempt and an “incident.”
DOJ cautious on attempted assassination claim. Garland references apparent assassination attempt in a separate statement that doesn't mention Routh, but the news release on Routh charges only refers to an "incident" at Trump golf course Sunday. Reports indicate that Ryan Routh did not shoot at Trump. The secret service agent fired at Routh, stopping anything from happening.
Thank goodness.
Authorities charged Routh with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
They can always add charges later.
Why now be careful with language? That’s a rhetorical question.
As an English major and a law student, I appreciate it when people, especially lawyers, use precise language.
But NOW? How about we remain consistent?

Some people did something
The real question for the fbi (and the ss) is who leaked Trump’s agenda to their nutty buddy.
Attorney General Merrick Garland carefully chooses his words- there are so few ways of saying disappointment: let down, bummer.
Yeah, I might be in a mood today.
He wouldn’t want to be partisan and act like something important happened.
He is so disgusting he makes
Me want to up chuck
Garland’s quivering voice reminds me of Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings.
You missed again a hole
Garland fits perfectly the description in the following C.S. Lewis quote:
“I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of “Admin.” The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid “dens of crime” that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern.”
If it weren’t for his other statements that show some bias, I would shrug over this one. It was “apparent” since he didn’t pull the trigger.*
But, yeah, he is often not careful with his words, and being careful now indicates… something.
(* Do we know if the rifle had a round in the chamber? This guy might not be the brightest and best with firearms.)
Apparently, the Sun rose in the east this morning. Film at eleven…
Well, even the Media could not cover it up if he said “our second try”.
