Stacey wrote about the national media silence regarding Hurricane Helene’s destruction and the absence of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
It’s stunning, considering everyone was all over Hurricane Katrina.
A reporter asked Biden about helping those in need.

REPORTER: Do you have any words to the victims of the hurricane?
BIDEN: Yes, it’s tragic. Matter of fact, we’re trying to get the exact number. My team advisors on the ground in Florida right now. There’s a distinction between the numbers that beam is used and the ones that used by the locals.
So it really is amazing. You saw the photographs. It’s stunning. It really. Such a wide area. And we’ve given them all, everything that we have. We’re on the ground ahead of time. So we’re working hard.
REPORTER: Are there any more resources the federal government could be giving them?
BIDEN: No. We pre planned a significant amount of it, even though they didn’t ask for it yet. Hadn’t asked for yet.

Funny, there’s plenty of money for Ukraine and illegal immigrants, but nothing for Americans. That’s Brandon-Harris for you.
Sounded to me like he was referencing the on the ground personnel, disaster relief through FEMA and had already put much of it in place before the hurricane and was not talking about money.
The only preparedness I really saw was Governors declaring a State of Emergency and thousands of electric crews on standby across the region. We were just outside of the zone of destruction and had several electric and tree trucks in a grocery store parking lot just in case.
Just take a few billion from Ukraine. And a few billion more from benefits for illegals.
Take ALL “benefits” from the illegals. Once they start to starve out in the rain and coming cold, they will call home on their smart phones and tell Pedro and Maria to stay put.

The Western North Carolina death toll is going to dwarf the toll in Florida. Hundreds more may be dead as entire homes washed away.
Yes, but with the exception of Asheville, the lost lives are likely conservatives so they don’t really count.

Resources are not just money especially in a zone of destruction. In this case I think Biden was actually talking about physical help and what the Governors had asked for was provided so far.
Yeah? Betcha I could find some. That grant for a million to fund the study of outer Mongolian 13th-century dance? Gone. The money to buy a hundred thousand EVs to replace perfectly functional cars? Gone. A few hours with a red pen and the federal budget (do we even have one of those anymore?) should shake loose a few billion.
