WaPo Editors Admit Biden’s ‘Inner Circle Worked to Conceal His Decline’

The Washington Post‘s editorial board attempted to lavish praise on Joe Biden in its recent piece.

However, the board admitted everyone saw Biden’s cognitive decline and his inner circle committed elder abuse:

The 81-year-old had shown signs of slipping for a long time, but his inner circle worked to conceal his decline.

Legal Insurrection started a “Biden Cognitive” tag back in 2020!

Oh, really. I thought everyone pointing out that Biden had cognitive issues was lying and terrible people.

We were awful people for accusing his family of elder abuse.

More insults flew when we suggested people like Jill and Hunter pushed Biden to run again and stay in the race for selfish reasons.

The White House described videos of a feeble Biden as “cheap fakes.” The media took the talking point and ran with it.

Oh my goodness, remember how the media flipped out when the special counsel described Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory?”

Of course, the media used those same videos as evidence against Biden after his awful debate performance.

Professor Jacobson called the media covering up the decline the greatest media scandal we’ve ever seen.

Fellow Democrats even brought up Biden’s decline in 2019-2020. MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell spoke out about him:

One of the earliest mainstream figures to raise serious questions about Biden’s cognitive decline was MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell immediately before the June, 2019 presidential debate. The long-time reporter, not exactly known as a Trump sympathizer to put that mildly, went on air amidst a series of rambling, incoherent Biden appearances and said: “the question is, does he still have his stuff? How sharp is he?,” prompting Chris Matthews to immediately understand her point and reply: “You know you’re answering the question with the question.”

After the September 2019 debate, Cory Booker and Julián Castro also made comments about Biden:

One of the most explicit and direct attacks on Biden’s cognitive fitness to run for President and to serve came from Democratic Senator Cory Booker (now a Biden endorser). After a CNN presidential debate in September — in which Biden had bizarrely rambled about how the key to solving the problems in African-American communities was having parents play “the record player” for their children, and during which [Julián] Castro had pointedly accused Biden of having forgotten what he had said just moments earlier — Booker unflinchingly suggested Biden lacked the ability to endure the rigours of the campaign (the full Booker interview is here):
