Trump Turns Tables on Kamala Harris By Proposing Fox News Debate, Which She Declines

Last month in the aftermath of President Joe Biden withdrawing from the presidential race after intense pressure from senior Democrats, Democratic donors, and elitist Hollywood leftists, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump made clear he’d be willing to do multiple debates with VP Kamala Harris, but just not on ABC.
“I would be willing to do more than one debate, actually,” Trump said at the time.
“I’m not thrilled about ABC because [of] fake news I watched last night,” he also said, referring to their coverage of Biden’s withdrawal.
Because of that, Harris, her campaign, and her supporters have all been suggesting that Trump is allegedly “backing out” of the previously agreed upon September debate because he’s afraid of her.
“She’s a strong black woman, Donald Trump may not wanna say that, but it’s true and everyone knows it’s true. He’s afraid to debate her,” Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) proclaimed last Thursday.
Left out of their remarks, however, is the fact that the ABC News debate he signed on to was with Joe Biden and on Joe Biden’s terms.
Joe Biden isn’t going to be the Democratic nominee anymore. Kamala Harris is. And because the terms of a Harris-Trump debate have not been agreed upon, and because Trump feels like the debate wouldn’t be fair, he has proposed another debate – on Fox News:

The Moderators of the Debate will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, and the Rules will be similar to the Rules of my Debate with Sleepy Joe, who has been treated horribly by his Party – BUT WITH A FULL ARENA AUDIENCE!….

In addition to fraudulently running from who she is (like Obama) are the extreme policies and incompetence. It’s all performance art by a dumb lady who does more harm than good.
The election is only 100-days away. There’s a reasonably good chance that will never become apparent. Her handlers are smart enough to keep her away from any unscripted moments and the media – that wants to make sure Trump loses at any cost – is more than happy to help her.
Election day is about a 100 days off but early voting begins in about half that. IMO the d/prog strategy here is:
1. Announce Biden withdrawal
2. Ride wave of relief to higher polling boost and donors opening wallets
3. Get Harris the votes of the delegates before Chicago
4. Keep Harris away from unscripted media hits, Q&A or even neutral interviews much less potential hostile interviews
5. Pageantry in Chicago of Harris at the convention
6. Ride additional wave of stage managed popularity
7. Try to avoid a debate by poking Trump with ABC and prior ‘agreement’. Nonsense but the d/prog base will eat it up and the friendly media will push it.
8. Carefully manage Harris public appearances. Use Obama and other high profile campaign surrogates.
9. Get to early voting period then claim b/c the voting has begun the ‘only debate that matters is at the ballot box’.

In some respects the issue of Trump being in litigation with ABC does make some sense to cancel that debate however when you look at the calendar that reason looks very shakey. He brought the suit against ABC back in March yet it was May when he agree to debate on ABC. Why agree to ABC out of all the other possible outlets?
There was a court case in July to dismiss the case, the judge ruled in favor of Trump and the case may proceed.
He agreed to debate Biden on ABC not Harris.
Now she wants to step in like nothing ever changed except the check boxes for race and gender. It doesn’t work that way.

He’s not “afraid” to debate Harris. He’s just not willing to give her the huge handicap he gave Biden. There’s no reason he should.
As a regular viewer of FNC, I can say Trump is sticking his neck out thinking that he will receive fair treatment on Fox. They may not cheat as CNN has, but they have shown many times their disdain for Trump. If they use Baier and McCallum, that’s not much better than Bash and Tapper. The only fair way of asking questions is to do it the same way lottery numbers are drawn from a large spinning drum full of questions. The moderators should read the question and let each person give their answer.
It is the most neutral ground there is for Trump. That much is obvious.

One of the columnists over at another conservative news and opinion website wrote that Trump should continue to say he will not debate Harris if she doesn’t show up on the 4th of September and then decide on the 8th that he will debate her on the 9th. Security would already have been taken care of. She would not be prepared for an actual debate and would show her incompetence.
Wow. The reason we don’t say things like “Kamala doesn’t have the mental capacity …” is that we’re afraid they’ll show up and prove the insult wrong, then we look really bad. When challenged like that, you really have to say yes and come out swinging.
