Sarah Huckabee Sanders Brings the Fight to Biden in Funny and Moving Speech at the RNC

“The Left loves to talk about the war on women, but the only war that I see being waged is from the far-Left against the conservative, strong women in this country”

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as White House press secretary under Trump, gave a great speech during the Republican National Convention last night that showed the softer side of her former boss, while skewering Joe Biden.

Sanders revisited the abuse she suffered from members of the media and others, recounting the time that she and her family were denied service at a restaurant, but the overall tone of her speech was positive.

Yahoo News reports:

Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s RNC speech gets standing ovation: ‘Not even an assassin’s bullet could stop’ Trump

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was welcomed to the Republican National Convention stage with a standing ovation as one of the final speakers of the night on Tuesday.

Sanders, who served as Donald Trump’s press secretary, began her speech with a reference to the assassination attempt on the former president at Saturday’s rally in Butler, Pa., praising his strength.

“Never have I been more proud than to stand with [Trump] right now, tonight,” she said. “Not even an assassin’s bullet could stop him. God almighty intervened because America is one nation under God, and He is certainly not finished with President Trump.”

This may have been the line of the night. It brought the house down.

The Washington Examiner has more:

In a speech that echoed her appearances earlier Tuesday at a National Federation of Republican Women luncheon and Moms for Liberty town hall, Sanders quipped that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris cannot explain what it means to be a woman.

“The Left loves to talk about the war on women, but the only war that I see being waged is from the far-Left against the conservative, strong women in this country,” Sanders told the lunch. “And when they learn that you are a Trump-supporting Republican woman, they’ll attack you even more relentlessly.”

“Believe me, because I’ve been on the receiving end of those attacks as governor and as President Trump’s press secretary,” she said. “But like all of you, I know how to tough it out. No nasty comment is going to stop us from protecting women’s sports or banning offensive, nonsense words like birthing person and pregnant people.”

You don’t expect the Republican who will follow Trump to the Oval Office in 2029 to be re-elected in 2032? Or is the comment irrespective of whomever is elected in 2028?

“Respect my pronouns, you pregnant birthing-person with a bonus hole!”

I’m glad the R’s are pivoting from the abortion issue, a loser, to the women’s sports issue, a winner. And I don’t even care about women’s sports. You can find as many unathletic girls who think it should be gender based, as would-be winning athletic girls who are pounding the issue because it’s their trophy at stake.

She’s such a good person and has a great governing temperament. I really like her.
