McConnell has on net been positive and did a good job advancing judicial nominees but….It would be nice to see more generational change and more populists v go along/get along DC insiders into leadership positions of the GoP. His announcement seemed well received.

McConnell has lot to be criticized for but he didn’t make the Judicial nominations that’s on the President. Once the President says this is the nominee for X Judicial vacancy District, Circuit or SCOTUS he did an admirable job shepherding the Judicial nominees of Bush and Trump through the process to confirmation by the Senate. Can’t pin Judges who ‘evolve’ on McConnell he didn’t nominate them for the position.

Mcconnell has the worst negatives in politics, currently according to RCP around -40 however, never forget that Merrick Garland is not on SCOTUS because of him.
So he’s managed to do one good thing his entire political career…
