Why does Brandon need a plane to get back to DC? Wouldn’t a helicopter have been sufficient? (Going by motorcade at the moment is not feasible because of construction on I-95 between Delaware and DC.)

He took the train for decades as a senator. I think it was a security decision to use the airplane. I’m not sure why they don’t use a helicopter though. Maybe they don’t want to leave one of the AF1 outfitted planes at Wilmington, so they return it to DC with him aboard.
I can blame him for a number of things but not this.
Recovering from Covid? Didn’t those 20 shots work at all? Also, as noted, I’m surprised by the adult staircase. I was hoping when he got to the top, that one of his aides would just give him a poke in the chest and he’d go tumbling down. Oopsie!
