Biased Media Trashes Former Sen. Inhofe When Reporting His Death
“Reminder that left-wing journos want you dead and are happy when you die.”
Former Republican Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe passed away over the holiday weekend.
This is personal to me because he was my senator. I also knew him, and he was such a gentleman. I knew I could always call and email him. Granted, he represented me, so I had that going for me! I didn’t always agree with him, but he was a no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point guy. You always knew where he stood. He didn’t apologize. He knew Oklahoma and Oklahomans. He knew what his constituents wanted.
Well, the supposed non-partisan mainstream media reacted just like you knew they would: Trash.
I know. It’s not a surprise. But I am so mad (I’m in a bad mood today…I don’t know why.) I just had to write about it.
Inhofe criticized the man-made climate change narrative because it is SCIENCE. He also strongly supported military and defense spending, which the media wanted to be his legacy. The New York Times mentioned Inhofe’s opposition to all the leftist pet narratives for good measure.
Politico, The New York Times, Associated Press, and CNN are just the few who belittled Inhofe. Their articles about leftists who passed? GOLD.
Politico eventually changed its headline.

When Ted died, Politico used his nickname in its headline: Liberal Lion of the Senate! At least the article mentioned Mary Jo Kopechne.
When Byrd died? The Senate lost a “venerable institution.”

I’d compare Wm. Buckley’s obit for Hubert Humphrey, though, whom he regarded as a quasi-friend. It’s an opportunity for the obit-writer to show good character.
I left Oklahoma many years ago but still returned for family and football games. I met the Senator when he was campaigning at a game and shook his hand. Later did a little research and found he was a good Senator and very good advocate for the people of Oklahoma.
Like most states Oklahoma has had their winners and losers for leaders and politicians. Senator Inhofe seemed to have his head screwed on straight and came across as humble and approachable. Maybe not Will Rogers in wit and personality but far better than most in politics. RIP good sir.
I have no problem with this. The media is inadvertently doing Inhofe’s memory a great service by highlighting the great fight that he put up against the insane, destructive, anti-human Left. They think they are bashing him but their reporting will record his greatness many, many more years into the future, as they document their own duplicity, stupidity, and evil.
Inhofe was a great man and the MSM is pointing out a good amount of why he was such a great man while highlighting their own self-hating, self-destructive lunacy.
