Mid-2024 Impact Report – Equal Protection Project (EqualProtect.org)
At midyear 2024, I am happy to report that the State of Equal Protection Project is very sound and we’re building, and we look forward to a great remainder of the year and the future.
The Equal Protection Project (EqualProtect.org) launched in February 2023. Just 15 months later, it has become a major focus of the Legal Insurrection Foundation.
While readers see bits and pieces of what we do at EPP through blog posts here, I thought it was a good time to bring it all together.
So we created Impact Summaries (full embed at bottom of this post) to put it all in perspective.
That’s a lot of information to absorb.
So I did a short video explainer. [Note: we are going to start doing more of these explainers and other video content here.]
Hi, this is Bill Jacobson. I’m here to talk to you about our Equal Protection Project, a midyear report.
Equal Protection Project is part of the Legal Insurrection Foundation, which has three components: Equal Protection Project; our traditional 15-year-old blog, legalinsurrection.com, and CriticalRace.org. Equal Protection Project was launched in February of 2023 to fight discrimination done in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion. And we have had a fabulous run. We have accomplished so much.
You can see on the screen, we’ve filed 28 cases against universities and other entities that have discriminated on the basis of race. We have 14 wins and we have six additional impacts. So it has been an amazing 15 months and a lot of it has come this year. So we’re proud to report that at midyear 2024, Equal Protection Project is well on its way.
But I want to talk to you also about an important component, which is media.
We have an enormous media presence really almost beyond our wildest expectations. I have done hundreds of interviews, been cited, the work we’ve done has been cited. We’ve been recognized by even the mainstream media as a leader in fighting against discriminatory scholarships and discriminatory programming. Reuters, New York Times, Washington Post, all put us on the short list of the most active entities in this field.
And so [through] media we reach millions of people a month. In addition to the people who come to our website, our blog, we reach probably tens of millions of people. I’ve done, you know, an enormous amount and it gets our message out, and that’s something we do that others don’t do.
But we haven’t only limited ourselves to DEI issues. After October 7th. we addressed the antisemitism on campuses, but also the anti-Americanism because one of the points I always make to people is that the anti-Israel students and the anti-Israel faculty and the anti-Israel protestors are also the anti-American protestors. And this is a bigger issue. And I’ve been very fortunate, again, to have a massive media presence, including on shows that you would not expect me to be on like Morning Joe, in addition to many Fox News shows, podcasts, and things like that.
So at midyear 2024, I am happy to report that the State of Equal Protection Project is very sound and we’re building, and we look forward to a great remainder of the year and the future.
EPP is in a major expansion mode, and we expect to broaden our challenges to racially discriminatory programs. But we need your help. We are a small organization going up against powerful and wealthy government and private institutions devoted to DEI discrimination. Donations are greatly needed and appreciated.

curious on this:

has this been put forth by the msm as a positive fight?
or is called out in a sarcastic,,,how dare anyone fight against our dei etc?

YES. BRAVO. ENCORE. The EPP wack-a-mole success is impressive. But… until we eliminate qualified immunity to imprison those who aggressively and egregiously violate plain, enumerated civil rights against others this will only continue to be an expensive lawyer’s game of chasing escaped criminal-critters after the barn door is closed.
Agreed, we are being allowed to throw a few punches on their terms.
It seems like a major problem that the violators can bill the taxpayer for their legal defense while the EPP relies on donations. I am not sure eliminating immunity is the answer.
