Male Swimmer Lia Thomas Loses Challenge, Won’t Compete Against Females in Olympics

Male Swimmer Lia Thomas Loses Challenge, Won’t Compete Against Females in Olympics

MAJOR CATCH, though. Decision is because Thomas isn’t a member of U.S. swimming, not because it’s unfair for females to have him in their categories.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) tossed a challenge from male swimmer Lia Thomas against World Aquatics and its rule that bans him from competing against females in elite races.

The World Aquatics rule bans males from female categories if they have gone through male puberty.

However, the court did not rule based on Thomas’s “gender identity.”

The court based its decision on Thomas’s lack of membership in U.S. swimming.

The Guardian wrote that the court concluded Thomas is “simply not entitled to engage with eligibility to compete in WA competitions” since he is not a member of U.S. swimming:

While it is understood that World Aquatics was prepared to argue the merits of the scientific evidence at Cas, the hearing solely focused on whether Thomas, who is no longer a member of US swimming, was allowed to challenge its rules.

On Wednesday it ruled that Thomas had no standing to sue World Aquatics’ transgender policy, with a key paragraph stating: “The panel concludes that since the Athlete is not entitled to participate in ‘Elite Event’ within the meaning of USA Swimming Policy, let alone to compete in a WA competition, which occurs upon registration with WA prior to a competition or upon setting a performance which leads to a request for registration as WA world record, she is simply not entitled to engage with eligibility to compete in WA competitions.

“The policy and the operational requirements are simply not triggered by her current status.”

However, World Aquatics celebrated the decision, describing it as “a major step forward in our efforts to protect women’s sport.”

Males can compete in female categories in the Olympics only if the sport’s governing body allows it.

The move is obviously a way for the Olympics to pass the buck because the organization obviously wouldn’t mind having males in female sports.

The IOC instructed the media how to avoid “problematic language” when reporting on the games.

Assuming that a civilization that can sponsor something like the Olympics survives [not a given with the way the things are going] there is another factor. Whoever puts such a thing on will have to pay for it. If such is “popularly” based, it means that the members of that society will have to come up with the excess capital to pay for it. The Olympics depends greatly on voluntary donations. If the Olympics becomes an intermixed gender affair, would you donate to it? As it stands now, I am on the very edge of ignoring the whole thing and pretending it does not exist.

Wish he’d take off that makeup; don’t wear it in the pool.

Should we now have collegiate varsity players as members of middle-school teams? Heavyweight boxers against featherweights? High schoolers? Able-bodied, normal adults in the Special Olympics?

Seriously, sports competitions are divided up in all kinds of ways. That is, they discriminate for the purpose of making keener competition (“fun”).

We’ve not only seen men competing with women, we’ve seen male players injure female players and steal their winnings. It’s intolerable.

she is simply not entitled

“she” … I guess that answers what these deranged perverts actually think about men pretending they’re women and competing against them making a mockery out of “women’s” events.

These are some sick, sick people who belong in prison or in insane asylums.

The original Games solved it by having everybody nude.

I guess he’ll just have to compete with his own and rank back down in the 400’s.

Why doesn’t the IOC just rule that you’re either a male or female at birth, a binary biological possibility?

There is not presto-change-o of biology.

One’s sex is determined at conception! The fetus either has XX (female) chromosomes or XY (male) chromosomes. No need to wait for birth to find out and no amount of hormones or surgery can change every cell in one’s body from being XX or XY. They can pretend but we don’t have to pretend with them.

A small part of me wishes he would be competing with the women. It would show the absurdity on the world stage. I’d guess the only swimming competition most people ever watch is the Olympics, so it’s easy to ignore the issue otherwise.

I mean I’m all for letting men compete with women.

Let it happen and in VERY short order every single record in any event that speed, stamina, and strength are primary factors will be held by men and no woman will ever break or hold a record again.

I’m perfectly at peace with this scenario. Women are the ones that overwhelmingly support this nonsense. They should enjoy the fruits of their support.

The move is obviously a way for the Olympics to pass the buck because the organization obviously wouldn’t mind having males in female sports.

I would argue the assorted nuts who run the Olympics are concerned only with the bottom line. If they thought having this guy compete as a women was a financial winner they would have forced him into the competitions.

As it is, the suits at the Olympics are trying to work both sides of the street. They don’t want to make an even bigger joke of themselves than they already are and cause their wallets to become lighter – who wants to watch mentally-ill DIDs (Dudes In Dresses) prance around on TV in skimpy swim attire with their, ah, plumbing showing – but at the same time they are terrified of the Wokestapo and their terrorist tactics. Who (in their minds) is the biggest threat?

Tranny loser can’t compete against real men.

William. His name is William Thomas. STOP conceding the enemy’s premise by using their anti-reality language. STOP IT.

This brings up for me all of those nostalgic memories of the East German “women” Olympians.

That’s a shame. Maybe he should try the Paralympics.
