Arrest Made In Multiple “Intifada” Anti-Israel Arson at UC-Berkeley

“EVERY SINGLE BUILDING ON THE UC BERKELEY CAMPUS DESERVES TO BE INCINERATED FOLLOWING THE UC SYSTEM’S TREATMENT OF STUDENT PROTESTORS.”

Last week, when anti-Israel students took over a building at California State University while administrators were trapped inside, I wondered when people would begin labeling this type of behavior as terrorism.

Now anti-Israel students at UC-Berkeley are claiming responsibility for three separate acts of arson on campus. If this isn’t terrorism, what is?

The Berkeley Scanner reported:

Another arson at UC Berkeley, ‘student intifada’ takes credit

For the second time this month, UC Berkeley police are investigating a report of arson that may be linked to Palestinian protest activities.

The University of California Police Department has said little about the investigation this week.

According to police and public records, the arson took place outside Koshland Hall, which is located on the northwest corner of campus, at Hearst Avenue not far from Oxford Street.

On Thursday afternoon, UCPD sent out a brief alert about the arson at Koshland Hall, saying only that it had been reported at about noon and was “under investigation.”…

Multiple readers contacted The Scanner on Thursday about a short post on the Indybay activist website taking credit for the arson at UC Berkeley.

The post was entitled, “UCLA Students Were Attacked Last Night So We Retaliated With a Firebomb on UCB Campus.”

The author of the post, which went up shortly after 6 a.m., was listed only as “student intifada.”

“NOT SURE WHAT BUILDING IT EVEN WAS. HONESTLY DONT REALLY CARE,” the author wrote in capital letters. “EVERY SINGLE BUILDING ON THE UC BERKELEY CAMPUS DESERVES TO BE INCINERATED FOLLOWING THE UC SYSTEM’S TREATMENT OF STUDENT PROTESTORS.”

The Daily Californian reports on the third fire:

Third arson this month reported at Dwinelle Annex construction site

At approximately 1:37 p.m., UCPD responded to a fire at the Dwinelle Annex construction site. After further investigation, UCPD officials reported the fire as arson, according to a campus WarnMe sent out later Sunday evening.

This is the third arson to be reported on campus in the last few weeks following the burning of a UCPD police vehicle June 2 and an arson at Koshland Hall last Thursday.

According to an anonymous post at 3:45 p.m. on Indybay, the arson was in “retaliation” against UCPD’s involvement in police responses to pro-Palestinian student demonstrators at UC Santa Cruz and UCLA. Similar claims of retaliation were also cited in the burning of the UCPD car and at Koshland Hall.

The post added that the act was also in solidarity with and retaliation for the unhoused people displaced by the construction on People’s Park.

One arrest has been made.

Here’s a video report from NBC News Bay Area:

These people are getting more aggressive in their attacks every week.

It is going to get worse until schools begin taking the threats seriously.

The fascist/communist/Muslim response to its opposition is always the same: violence.

Are these mostly peaceful arsons?

Well, Casey GOONan, how did your foot stomping work out for you? Betcha don’t make bail.

The faculty at UC Berkeley must be experiencing a sense of real accomplishment at seeing the results of their efforts.

I presume the arsonist has already been slated for a prime-time speaking spot at the DNC convention.

      yeah but you never know:

The new law comes just days after former President Donald Trump was ordered to pay $83.3 million to journalist and author E. Jean Carroll, following a civil case where a jury determined that the former president sexually abused and then defamed her. Carroll had claimed that Trump raped her, but under New York’s former law, the assault did not fit the definition of rape.

“I want to take a moment to recognize E. Jean Carroll for her courageous efforts to make sure justice was done,” the governor said. “And to bring a case against the former president whose defamatory and disgusting statements exacerbated a horrific situation.”

It’s odd to me how leftists seek to solve problems by destroying…their own stuff.

The ones who actually started the fire may not have been students, but they are leftists. Isn’t UC Berkeley and places like it the training ground for these mush-heads?

Too bad that jurisdiction is a catch and release.

The terrorist rioters need to be dealt with using a heavy hand. Any students involved need to be kicked out of school and given 24 hours to vacate the campus if the live on campus. Any faculty or school employees need to be fired. All others need to be criminality charged for exciting riots and arson. But it will not happen.

I wonder if they will ever label it terrorism, as violence is excused and worshiped for the “right” causes like BLM, environmental issues, and these wannabe jihadists. Violence is only condemned when it involves attacks on certain favorite groups like LGBTQ and African Americans. Besides that violence on everyone else is welcomed, encouraged and “understandable” especially if it is caused by one of the above mentioned favorite groups.

“Casey Goonan was arrested Monday morning at his parent’s $1.1 million home in Pleasant Hill on suspicion of a string of arson attacks at UC Berkeley from June 1 to 16.

Feds, cops and CalFire allege the 34-year-old, a Northwestern University doctorate of African American studies, firebombed a Berkeley campus police car and carried out three other arson incidents on university grounds June 1, as well as last Thursday and Sunday.”

To be fair, a $1.1 million dollar home in the bay area is a double wide trailer.

Let’s see what the vile Dhimmi-crats’ lame excuses and rationalizations will be to this predictably escalating violence against American Jews.

1) I note that the only person arrested, 34 year old Casey Robert Goonan, is a white male with a doctorate in African-American studies.

2) He was arrested at his residence, with his parents, in Pleasant Hill in the East Bay area. To put it mildly, it is not a hovel.

3) While he may partake of being a Leftist protected class due to his degree, it is interesting that no actual Leftist protected class members have been arrested.

4) Apparently, he has been arrested “on suspicion” of arson and no criminal charges have been filed yet.

5) It would be something to watch to see if:
a) actual charges are filed against him.
b) if further arrests and charges are filed against others, including Protected Classes,
c) if any such charges are actually prosecuted with an intent to convict.

We are at a point where any actions by the judicial system cannot be assumed to be aimed at either a fair trial or justice under the law.

    Fact check: True.

Alvin Bragg just dropped nearly all charges against the Columbia protesters. He’s too busy using his office to attack political opponents.

Of the 46 people charged with trespassing in connection with the building’s occupation, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office dismissed cases against 31 people largely due to a “lack of evidence”. Guess they weren’t arrested in a building they were told not to be in?

Prosecutors told 14 others that their cases would be dropped if they avoid being arrested in the next six months, but those defendants rejected that offer and will be due back in court on July 25.”

If they insist on playing by 7th Century rules, let’s humor them. Anybody got an ax??
