AOC ‘Goes Full Howard Dean’ at Bowman Rally As Pro-Hamas Activists Target Her for ‘Endorsing Genocide’

Since Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) spoke out earlier this month against antisemitism after pro-Hamas agitators from Within Our Lifetime (WOL) brought their “Day of Rage” to the NYC Nova Festival Exhibit, she’s received a wave of backlash from hardliner anti-Israel activists who view her comments as the ultimate betrayal.

For instance, here’s what Palestinian agitator and WOL co-founder Nerdeen Kiswani had to say at the time in response:

On Saturday, AOC, along with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), held a rally in the Big Apple on behalf of fellow Hamas Caucus member Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), who is facing a tough primary fight against Westchester County Executive George Latimer. Mr. Latimer, who Bowman predictably has portrayed as a “racist,” has a comfortable lead in the polling averages and is a well-known and well-liked politico in the area.

Early voting started last Saturday. Primary Day is June 25th.

Ahead of the rally – which reportedly was held outside of Bowman’s NY-16 district, WOL promised to confront AOC on the grounds that “endorsing Biden” equals “endorsing genocide”:

Though AOC didn’t condemn news of the group’s intent to disrupt the rally, pro-Israel Democrat Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY) did:

As promised, they were there:

And in case anyone was unclear about their message:

Though they weren’t inside the park for the sparsely attended Bowman rally, WOL were right outside of it:

However, outside the park, the anti-Israel group Within Our Lifetime, run by radicals Nerdeen Kiswani and Fatima Mousa, hosted their “Flood the Bronx for Gaza” to counter the rally, which about 150 attended. Some banged drums while others held signs with slogans like “For class war to free Palestine! Dump Genocide Joe and the Squad.”“If Bowman and the rest of them claim to be allies of the Palestinian people, the bare minimum is not endorsing the person we have been protesting against the last nine months and who has enabled the genocide of the people in Gaza,” said Kiswani, parroting a debunked Hamas talking point.

Meanwhile, a Howard Dean-esque AOC, perhaps annoyed by the protesters, worked to fire up the crowd by coming up on stage and acting like a boxer who was getting ready to fight:

Adding to Squad leader AOC’s woes over the Israel-Hamas war, her pro-ceasefire stance, and her recent and long overdue condemnation of antisemitism was the fact that Holocaust denier/white nationalist Nick Fuentes was singing her praises over her criticisms of the Israeli government and AIPAC ahead of the Bowman campaign event:

It’s hard being AOC in 2024! Bless her heart.
