Report: Biden Admin Issued Sanctions Waiver on Arms Sales to Arab States Day Before Withholding Weapons From Israel

Report: Biden Admin Issued Sanctions Waiver on Arms Sales to Arab States Day Before Withholding Weapons From Israel

The Biden administration hates Israel.

The Washington Free Beacon discovered that President Joe Biden’s administration issued a sanctions waiver, allowing arms sales to Lebanon and Qatar…the day before it announced it would withhold weapons from Israel.

Qatar is a Hamas ally. Iran controls Lebanon, home of the Iranian-funded terrorist group Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has been firing rockets at northern Israel since October. This is ridiculous:

On Tuesday—just a day before President Joe Biden threatened to withhold key weapons deliveries from Israel if the country moves forward with an incursion in the Gaza Strip’s Rafah neighborhood—the State Department informed Congress that it intends to bypass laws that bar the United States from selling weapons to nations that boycott Israel, according to a copy of the notification obtained by the Free Beacon.

The Biden administration, which has waived these sanctions in the past, said in the notification that it intends to extend the waiver through April 30, 2025, allowing weapons to be sent to a host of nations that work closely with the Hamas terror group and other Iran-backed terror proxies.

While the administration determined that these countries engage in Israel boycotts, a condition that triggers American anti-boycott laws, bypassing these restrictions remains “in the U.S. national interest” to maintain regional stability, according to the waiver. But this justification is drawing scrutiny on Capitol Hill as the Biden administration threatens key arms shipments to Israel in a bid to force it into abandoning its campaign to eradicate Hamas.

I could never do communications because I cannot BS like this State Department spokesman did to the Free Beacon:

A State Department spokesman told the Free Beacon that the department “remains committed to Israel’s security and defense.” While current law “prohibits leases and sales of defense articles to certain countries that maintain a boycott of Israel,” the president reserves the right to waive these restrictions if it is “in the national security interest,” the spokesman said.

“The United States has routinely exercised that waiver for years to permit continued security cooperation between the United States and regional partners and to enable U.S. officials to continue to work closely with those partners to eliminate further instances of boycott requests,” the spokesman said.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told Congress the administration chose to withhold weapons from Israel to assess Israel’s plan to invade Rafeh, Hamas’s last stronghold.

Don’t forget that Hamas has FIVE American citizens.

Earlier this week, Hamas fired rockets from Rafah, the terrorist group’s last stronghold, toward the humanitarian crossing from Gaza into Israel. The rockets landed near civilian shelters, injuring several people.

Hamas boasted about hitting the humanitarian area. Israel had to close the crossing, stopping trucks from delivering aid.

Biden confirmed the move on CNN on Wednesday night:

BIDEN: “Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which they go after population centers. I made it clear that if they go into Rafah — they haven‘t gotten to Rafah yet — they go into Rafah, I‘m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, to deal with that problem. We‘re going to continue to make sure Israel is secure in terms of Iron Dome and their ability to respond to attacks like came out of the — least recently. But it‘s just wrong. We‘re not gonna supply the weapons and artillery shells used — that have been used — “

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the world that Israel won’t back down.

Good for him:

In the address that Netanyahu shared, which he made on Sunday at the ceremony marking Holocaust Remembrance Day at Yad Vashem, the Prime Minister stated: “Eighty years ago, in the Holocaust, the Jewish people were totally defenseless against those who sought our destruction. No nation came to our aid.

“Today, we again confront enemies bent on our destruction.”

Netanyahu continued: “I say to the leaders of the world, no amount of pressure, no decision by any international forum, will stop Israel from defending itself.”

He concluded by pledging: “As the Prime Minister of Israel – the one and only Jewish state – I pledge here today from Jerusalem on this Holocaust Remembrance Day: If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone. But we know we are not alone because countless decent people around the world support our just cause. And I say to you, we will defeat our genocidal enemies. Never again is now!”

If you wanted to empower radical Muslims, and simultaneously pull the rug out from under Israel, would you do anything different from what Biden is doing in his current betrayal?

The Obama/Biden campaign to eliminate Israel continues. It is time that our side hits the streets.

The Biden administration hates Israel.

Just a continuation of the Barky junta’s attempt to smother Israel to death and to promote pan-islamism throughout the arab world. Traitor Joe and his gang of anti-Western loons were instrumental in fomenting the discord in Israel about the changes in their Supreme Court. … the “protests” where members of elite units were threatening to boycott reserve service and to leave Israel defenseless …. right before Oct 7th happened. Interesting that no one has made one peep about that lunacy (helped and encouraged by Traitor Joe and his meddling co-conspirators).

People need to realize something – something that has been obvious for all of his life – Traitor Joe is a dead cold psychopath. He doesn’t care about anyone or anything but himself. NOTHING. He will do absolutely anything to get what he wants – he would sell his grandmother for $2.31 … just to get the $2.31. The only saving grace is that he’s a complete retard. But he is a STONE COLD PSYCHOPATH.

Mark Levin just unloaded on Biden like never before, and gave a true picture of the man that Democrats chose to lead them.

Are there any people left who DON’T think this is Obama’s third term?
If there are, what would it now take to convince you?

With such an unreliable ally, why would anyone rely on the US? As far as Israel is concerned, Netanyahu faces a Trojan Horse in Gantz who is only too eager to do Brandon’s bidding (read Gadi Taub in Tablet for May 7). Also, as I’ve said before, Israel needs to start production of the ammo it needs if it hasn’t done so already.

Gantz is a leftist who believes in the justice of the “Palestinian” cause. He’s not suicidal, so he wants Israel to work out a deal where it can continue to exist and be forgiven for its original sin, while the “Palestinians” get as much “justice” as Israel can afford to give them, and reparations for what it can’t. But actually defeating them is not only not on his agenda, he wouldn’t do it even if he could.

Netanyahu’s roots are in the right place, but throughout his career he’s always been weak, always compromised, he’s like Lindsay Graham. He’d like to do the right thing if it’s easy, but at the first bit of opposition he is used to surrendering. He only fights when it comes to his own political survival.

Unfortunately if those are the only choices then Netanyahu has to be it.

Sitting here in Israel I’d have to say that would be you, not Milhouse. That’s one reason so much of the right here in Israel feel they cannot trust Bibi. Unfortunately there is no electable alternative.

So you’re saying Gantz is a f*cking retard? That’s who he’d have to be if he can’t catch the patterns these terrorists throw out.

They have already begun the process of becoming more self-reliant for weapons and ammunition/ordnance production. But, building out ordnance and ammunition manufacturing facilities would be…expensive and time-consuming. While I’m sure Israel can afford the per-unit increase cost of producing their own 155-Howitzer shells and gravity munitions, the facilities to produce such munitions are substantial requiring forging, casting, lapping and other heavy-industry machines in addition to the foundries that would be required. That’s going to take time, something Israel really doesn’t have at the moment.

““in the U.S. national interest” to maintain regional stability, according to the waiver.”

Kinsley gaffe.

So, the point is maintaining the situation as was. They consider that to be in US national interest. You know, regular, ongoing, rocket barrages at Israeli civilian infrastructure, from several directions. The graft spice must flow.

I look forward to similar “nuance” in the European theater now that Ukraine is hitting behind Russian lines. (As Russia has been since day <1 of this current round.) Or maybe not, as there seem to be a lot of "carrying charges" on those deliveries. The graft spice must flow.

Putting his own interest above the country. He has done this so often. Only now, there is nothing to force him to admit his dishonesty, as he acts like king.

How many people that voted for Biden actually know about him, a corrupt person by nature. A lot like Israel, follow blindly where the progressives say, like lemmings. And some cannot understand why hate hoaxes are so effective for some.

Obama is like Lenin, Biden like Stalin. Both are frauds, the worst of America, and its sad to see so many duped by their methods.

Biden’s stupidity and poor judgment may be the saving grace. But was it all worth it for people to wake up?

Jarrett is not Moslem, neither she nor anyone in her family has ever been a citizen of Iran, and she has no Persian ancestry. She really has no connection to Iran at all, except that her mother happened to be there when she was born. Blackstone would have said that created a natural loyalty in her to the Shah, but (a) Blackstone was wrong, and (b) the Shah’s long gone. There’s no reason it would create any loyalty to the mullahs.

Perfidy doesn’t even begin to fully characterize this betrayal. This is an act of unadulterated hypocrisy, moral cowardice/bankruptcy and feckless appeasement of evil practitioners of an evil, supremacist, totalitarian, belligerent and hate-filled ideology.

Vile and evil Biden and the Dhimmi-crats aren’t just selling out an ally and partner; they are kowtowing to, pandering to and enabling domestic and foreign Muslim supremacists and Islamofascists, while selling out American citizens who’ve been taken hostage, and, desecrating the memory of other American citizens who were raped, tortured and murdered.

You know who else would have done this to Israel?

Adolph Hitler, that’s who.

Funny how the accusations of Nazism hurled at the right keep landing on the left.

I also contemplate the charge that Americans are not steadfast allies of Israel and of Western values generally.

Personally, I think that we can safely segregate the American left out from that group and say that it is they who have abandoned Israel, lead by that poseur Barry Soetoro.

One wonders how many of these idiotic pro-Hamas agitators are aware that the precious, allegedly victimized Arab Muslim Fakestinian invaders from Arabia, were aligned with Hitler and the Nazis, during WWII, united in their mutual and gleeful Jew-hate?

The photograph of the “Grand Mufti of Jerusalem,” having a friendly chat with the Fuhrer, says it all. If the utterly useless, Dhimmi-crat media twits possessed an ounce of honesty and moral probity, they’d be spreading that photo around, and, writing about it.

Jarrett is a traitor. A traitor is by definition not of the other sides ‘ natonality. I have no problem with having an affinity for another country. I lived in Japan for a significant chunk of my life. I have very good Japanese friends that I love dearly. I hope the repeat of the Pacific War never happens again because my father served in the Philippines and though he kept things to himself mostly I couldn’t help but learn about it. I was a liaison officer with the JMSDF.. if I had to I’d kill them
