Israel Begins Targeted Strikes of Rafah Terror Stronghold, Tanks Reach Egypt-Gaza Border Crossing

Hamas tries to stall IDF Rafah offensive, agrees to return some living hostages and corpses to Israel.

As Israel’s war against Hamas enters its seventh month, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched targeted strikes on Hamas’s last standing stronghold of Rafah.

“The IDF began a precise counterterrorism operation in the eastern Rafah area; Following intelligence that indicated that the Rafah Crossing in eastern Rafah was being used for terrorist purposes,” the Israeli military said in a press release Tuesday morning. “IDF troops obtained operational control of the Gazan side of the crossing.”

Israeli armed forces have begun destroying terrorist targets in the Hamas stronghold. “IDF ground troops and IAF fighter jets struck and eliminated Hamas terror targets in the Rafah area, including military structures, underground infrastructure, and additional terrorist infrastructure from which Hamas operated in the Rafah area,” the Israeli military disclosed.

Detailing the efforts to minimize civilian casualties during the combat in Rafah, the IDF noted:

Prior to the operation, the IDF encouraged residents in the area of eastern Rafah to temporarily evacuate to the expanded humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi, where the IDF has facilitated the expansion of field hospitals, tents, and an increase in water, food, and medical supplies. International organizations working in the area were also encouraged to temporarily evacuate prior to the beginning of the operation.

IDF captures Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt

Israeli tanks rolled into southern Gaza early morning Tuesday and captured the strategic Rafah border crossing, cutting off the Hamas-controlled stronghold from Egypt. The Rafah-Egypt border is a major route for Hamas to smuggle weapons from Egypt, and move terrorists in and out of Gaza.

“IDF takes over Palestinian side of Rafah crossing,” the Jerusalem Post confirmed. “According to Reuters, citing the spokesperson of the Gaza border authority, the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt had been closed on the Palestinian side due to the IDF tanks in the area.”

The Israeli tanks were accompanied by ground troops. “IDF ground troops are continuing to operate against Hamas terrorist operatives and infrastructure in the area of the Rafah Crossing in eastern Rafah,” the IDF acknowledged in a statement Tuesday.

A clip on Twitter apparently shows an IDF tank rolling towards the crossing:

Hamas tries to stall IDF Rafah offensive, vows to return some living hostages and corpses to Israel

With Israeli forces finally entering Rafah, Hamas has offered to release 33 hostages out of some 130 initially believed to be in its captivity since October 7, The New York Times reported Tuesday.

Most of these 33 hostages set to be handed over to Israel may just be corpses of captives tortured and murdered by Hamas, the article suggests. According to the newspaper, “It was not clear whether Hamas revealed in the cease-fire negotiations with Israel how many of the 33 who would be freed in the first phase of the proposed deal are still alive and how many are dead.”

The NYT reports:

Hamas informed negotiators on Monday that not all of the 33 hostages who would be freed in the first phase of a possible cease-fire deal with Israel are still living and that the remains of those who have died would be among the initial releases, according to two people familiar with the talks.

I am truly glad that Israel is showing its sincerity and resolve.

The Hamashole butchers will hold out on the likely dead hostages for as long as possible.

Meanwhile, their “leaders” bask in luxury in Qatar, Dubai and elsewhere in the oil rich Arab world.

I’m thinking it will probably be several months after Israel wraps up the Gaza offensive before we start hearing about those Hamas leaders living in luxurious exile beginning to drop dead from mysterious causes/accidents.

They’ll want to finish things up domestically and wait for the ADHD “progressives” of the world to find something else to wail and gnash their teeth about…but I’m pretty sure it’s coming.

I hope the video of the tank rolling over the “I Love Gaza” sign while the Israeli soldier proclaims “I love Gaza’ goes viral. I think it is was funny as hell but it is sure to trigger the masses.

About fecking time. I know Israel has to be concerned about the “civilians” and all that but they waited far too long to go into Rafah and clean out Hamas. Of course, by now Hamas’ leadership is long gone from the Rafah and the Gaza Strip and are now in Qatar enjoying the good life as their subordinates find out that there aren’t really 72 virgins awaiting them in Paradise when they become martyrs for the cause. So I don’t expect the IDF will be capturing or killing any of the high level leadership but hopefully this spells the end of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Very severe punishment is warranted for torturing and killing hostages. No negotiation with any terrorists who did that. This is a war against terrorists, not soldiers. Unfortunately thousands of protesters in the US are on the side of the terrorists.

The so-called protests have little to do with Palestinians or Gaza, that is just the finger that hides the sun. This is just the beginning of an all out push to destroy Donald Trump by ANY means and install a uniparty junta.

The vile Dhimmi-crats’ and European, Leftist dhimmis’ anti-Israel agitation and vilification predate Donald Trump’s political career, by decades. Their ugly agitprop is first and foremost about vilifying Israeli Jews for possessing the temerity to resurrect their ancient homeland; rendering the middle east Judenrein; propagating contrived and fallacious propaganda mythologies of alleged Arab Fakestinian victimhood, and, whitewashing and casting obnoxious and evil Muslim supremacism and genocidal Islamofascism, in the veneer of so-called “social justice.”

Predictably and gallingly, vile, evil and stupid Biden and the Dhimmi-crats have done, and, continue to do their utmost to protect, whitewash, kowto to, defer to and enable, the goose-stepping, genocidal, sadistic, Arab Muslim Fakestinian invaders from Arabia who constitute Hamas.

It appears the IDF is preparing a type of Kesselschlacht (“cauldron battle”) for the remains of Hamas in Rafah. With the Gaza-Egypt crossing now in IDF hands, Hamas will be effectively bagged and cut-off from escape. It’ll now have only two options: fight to the death (which the IDF will quite willingly help them with) or surrender. No doubt some Hamas individuals and small groups will continue to fight on in coming weeks. However they’ll all be living on borrowed time and their ultimate fates will never be doubt.

Keep calm and destroy hamas. And when the IDF is finished mopping up in Gaza, I extend an invite for them to destroy hamas USA – cause the current JoeBama clown show sure the hell ain’t gonna do it.

I don’t always agree with Israeli policy, but any defense of Hamas and its supporters is a defense of bald faced terrorism. Their actions targeting a rock festival and civilian homes shows the violent nature . of basic Islamic beliefs.
Israel must utterly destroy Hamas and never relinquish control of the. Gaza Strip again.
