Biden Condemns Anti-Israel College Protests, Hasn’t Reconsidered His Middle East Policy
“Violent protest is not protected. Peaceful protest is. It’s against the law when violence occurs. Destroying property is not a peaceful protest.”
President Joe Biden finally addressed the anti-Israel/anti-American/pro-Hamas mobs on college campuses.
Biden condemned them in a three-minute speech. He also told a reporter that the mobs hadn’t changed his mind about his Middle East policy.

“We are not an authoritarian nation where we silence people or squash dissent. The American people are heard. In fact, peaceful protest is in the best tradition of how Americans respond to consequential issues. But neither are we a lawless country. We’re a civil society and order must prevail,” Biden said at the White House.
Biden, who has been facing mounting media and political pressure to speak out, made the comments Thursday morning as he departed the White House. On his way out, he noted that he would not be calling in the National Guard to quell the protests.
“Throughout our history, we’ve often faced moments like this because we are a big, diverse, free-thinking and freedom-loving nation. And moments like this are always those who rush in to score political points. But this isn’t a moment for politics. It’s a moment for clarity,” Biden also said.
“So let me be clear… Violent protest is not protected. Peaceful protest is. It’s against the law when violence occurs. Destroying property is not a peaceful protest. It’s against the law. Vandalism. Trespassing. Breaking windows. Shutting down campuses. Forcing the cancellation of classes and graduations. None of this is a peaceful protest,” Biden continued. “Threatening people. Intimidating people. Instilling fear in people is not peaceful protest. It’s against the law.
“Dissent is essential to democracy. But dissent must never lead to disorder or to denying the rights of others so students can finish a semester and their college education,” the president added.

Biden got it right. They must have really raised the drug dose.
He didn’t say anti-Israel protests are illegal, in particular. That’s the title’s mistake.
They’re not really anti-israel protests, they are pro terrorist.

Once again he’s still trying to play both sides and frankly the response took too long. It’s been weeks of treating Jewish students like second class citizens while half of his party cheers it on. It will be Yom Hashoah in a few days let’s see what the Hamas youth brigade and Kaffiyah Karen’s have in store to desecrate that day, just like they have Passover.

There was a part that said there’s no place for anti-semitism or anti-Palestinian positions, which is wrong. It’s free speech. The opposing speech has to be allowed as well, though.

The place for expressing antisemitism is right next to the space for expressing white supremacy and two over from the one for advocating slavery and human sacrifice. These are all protected speech.

A huge amount of violence and damage has come from these pro-terrorist protest. While some of it was certainly protected under free speech; the reality is that had they been targeting any other group people the protests would not have been tolerated or allowed, and the protestors would have been expelled and severely punished. The double standard is disgusting; and is in itself antisemitism.
