Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers Vetoes Bill Banning Biological Males From Female Only Sports

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers Vetoes Bill Banning Biological Males From Female Only Sports

You never forget a conversation with a young female athlete who worries about possibly playing against a male in high school or college sports.

NEVER FORGET the politicians who care more about the feels and wants of biological males over females. Actual misogyny and sexism are on display.

Wisconsin Democrat Gov. Tony Evers vetoed a bill banning biological males from female-only sports. He’s so proud of himself, veiling the true intention behind the LGBT label.

Republicans don’t have enough votes to overturn Evers’ veto.

Evers doesn’t mention how we never hear about “transmen” wanting to participate in male sports and be in male locker rooms, showers, and restrooms.

I guess no female athlete has told Evers she’s scared to play against a male in volleyball or softball. She doesn’t want a male barreling towards her since she plays second base.

I want to cry when I hear this crap because “less safe” obviously doesn’t apply to vulnerable young females.

AB 377 would have made schools designate sports as single-sex or co-ed. You have to play on the team that matches the sex on your birth certificate.

The bill would have also allowed females who lost spots to biological males or faced retaliation to bring a suit against the school.

The guilt trips and implying phobias to make females shut up about their legitimate concerns about their freaking safety:

“This type of legislation, and the harmful rhetoric beget by pursuing it, harms LGBTQ Wisconsinites’ and kids’ mental health, emboldens anti-LGBTQ harassment, bullying, and violence, and threatens the safety and dignity of LGBTQ Wisconsinites, especially our LGBTQ kids,” Evers said in his veto message.

“I will veto any bill that makes Wisconsin a less safe, less inclusive, and less welcoming place for LGBTQ people and kids, and I will continue to keep my promise of using every power available to me to defend them, protect their rights, and keep them safe.”

Evers also wants to veto a bill that bans child mutilation. Apparently, allowing parents and doctors to mutilate and disfigure children is kind and compassionate:

“We expect our kids to treat each other with kindness, respect, empathy, and compassion, and we should be able to expect adults to lead by example,” said Evers. “I urge the Republican majority to do so while fully considering the harmful consequences its efforts and actions have on our kids prior to introducing similar legislation in the future.”

These states allow biological males on female teams or no law allowing or banning them. Some states even allow males in female bathrooms.

  • Alaska
  • California (allows males in bathroom and you don’t have to show anything medical or legal to do so)
  • Colorado (no medical or legal requirement)
  • Connecticut (no medical or legal requirement)
  • Delaware
  • Hawaii
  • Illinois
  • Maine
  • Maryland (no medical or legal requirement)
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Oregon (no medical or legal requirement)
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Vermont
  • Virginia
  • Washington
  • Washington, DC
  • Wisconsin

Georgia bars males from female teams, but a female can play on a male sport, except wrestling, if the school doesn’t have a female team of the sport

These states have laws prohibiting males from participating in female sports (If I missed one, please let me know):

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Arizona
  • Florida
  • Idaho
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • North Carolina

It’s what leftists do: sacrifice the normal to abnormal.

As much as it sucks, the only way to defeat this is for women to refuse to participate. If no women will play against the mentally ill men then it just becomes junior junior varsity male sports.

DaveGinOly in reply to Ironclaw. | April 2, 2024 at 4:11 pm

Or, for a large number of male athletes at a school to declare themselves “female” and out-compete biological females for every spot on one or two important teams, such as baseball/softball and B-ball. Only when obvious frauds take over women’s sports completely will the sham stop.

scooterjay in reply to DaveGinOly. | April 2, 2024 at 4:37 pm

That sounds like a Monty Python routine!

thalesofmiletus in reply to DaveGinOly. | April 2, 2024 at 4:48 pm

I don’t see how that’s going to remedy the situation. The educrats will continue the charade so long as their jobs depend on it. It’s not like everyone doesn’t know that the emperor is naked. All the Monty Python re-enactments won’t change anything — they’ll just carry-on like it’s normal because noticing will get them cancelled.

DaveGinOly in reply to thalesofmiletus. | April 2, 2024 at 5:51 pm

It will be the ultimate realization of what will happen to women’s sports – it will become dominated by second- and third-tier male athletes who couldn’t compete at the top levels of male sport. Once “women’s sports” is ruined, something will have to take its place to provide a place for actual women to play without interference from fake women. No feminist will be able to ignore the complete elimination of real women from sports, and nobody will support what will be complete freak shows (“women’s” sports with no actual women, just sub-par male athletes), so they will likely collapse for lack of interest. Why would anyone watch sub-par male athletes when they can just as easily see the best male athletes in competition? People interested in women’s sports want to see competition between women, not fake women. Money talks and bullshit walks.

You’re suggesting”second- and third-tier male athletes” might be a bad thing?

That’s VERY DAMAGING to my feelings!

          herm2416 in reply to DaveGinOly. | April 3, 2024 at 8:35 am

There aren’t too many feminists decrying it now. Martina Navratilova, yes. I wouldn’t call Riley Gaines a feminist. How many other high profile female athletes are putting their names out there?

      diver64 in reply to DaveGinOly. | April 3, 2024 at 5:46 am

I think that has already been done. I remember a story from a few years ago where a girls high school softball team ended up with 4 or 5 guys on it and they literally ran roughshod over other female teams. Injured quite a few with hard slides into bases.

thalesofmiletus in reply to Ironclaw. | April 2, 2024 at 5:02 pm

This is definitely what needs to happen, if only for the safety of women.
When there’s a critical mass of girls that want to play yet have no teams…they’ll figure it out.

PaulM in reply to Ironclaw. | April 3, 2024 at 9:42 am

The only way this, and so many other destructive leftist policies, will end is when enough women wake up and stop voting D. Without the support of the majority (not all, but the majority) of women, the D’s would be a tiny fringe party – or they’d have to move back towards the center.
Sadly, I doubt this will happen.

Sultan in reply to PaulM. | April 3, 2024 at 5:44 pm

Don’t be so sure. I am aware of several previous D women who are fed up with this trash crap and are voting R.

MontanaMilitant in reply to Ironclaw. | April 3, 2024 at 10:15 am

It would be easy for Congress to remedy this. Just modify Title 9 to define women as humans with two X chromosomes. Until the lefties can figure out how to create chromosomal trannies women’s sports will be safe from mentally I’ll men.

Remember “coed” college sports in the 70s?
It’s not just men on the other team.
I stopped playing volleyball after the second time I was injured by an overly aggressive male teammate.
They sometimes had real problems letting others attack the ball.
Seemed almost instinctive to dive into others’ spaces.

rebelgirl in reply to Anony Mee. | April 2, 2024 at 3:12 pm

Coed volleyball is the only sport in which I broke a bone.

henrybowman in reply to rebelgirl. | April 3, 2024 at 12:49 pm

“The guilt trips and implying phobias to make females shut up about their legitimate concerns about their freaking safety:”

So where are all the women who should be throwing the liberals’ favorite excuse (to deny other people’s basic rights) back into their faces?

“This makes us feel unsafe! The governor is intent on making all women athletes feel unsafe!! Why does the governor want to make women feel unsafe??!”

Come on women! When life hands you apples, make a goddamn apple pie!

Olinser in reply to Anony Mee. | April 2, 2024 at 5:12 pm

‘Coed’ sports at anything higher than middle school have to have strict rules about number of women on a team and forcing them to play a certain amount, or they would just be all-male teams dominating.

Paul in reply to Anony Mee. | April 2, 2024 at 6:08 pm

    Testosterone will do that

Looking forward to syncronized swimming.

Trans = Terrorism. Crazy people are dangerous.

IMO what could solve this is when schools can’t get liability insurance, after the first $25M actual and punitive damages judgment for a girl predictably seriously racked up in a contact sport, in front of a very sympathetic jury.

    TargaGTS in reply to jb4. | April 2, 2024 at 4:06 pm

Those permissions slips that parents sign that allows their children to play in their respective sports almost always include strong indemnification protections for the schools, the leagues and the officials. Absolute best case scenario is maybe you get a bite at arbitration.

      jb4 in reply to TargaGTS. | April 2, 2024 at 10:20 pm

I bet the form does not cover this. “We understood that our daughter, who was severely injured, was playing on a girl’s team. You did not disclose on the form we signed that she could be playing against biological men.”

The polling overwhelmingly favors passing bills like this. It’s probably the most unifying ‘controversy’ that exists today with 70%+ of respondents supporting a ban on biological males playing on girls team. Evers is actually taking a hyper-minority position….which is probably why it’s never really covered in the mainstream media.

chrisboltssr | April 2, 2024 at 4:14 pm

Yeah, bet a lot of you are regretting opening that closet now.

Women in sports need to take matters into their own hands…

The Wisconsin legislature party affiliations today:

Senate: 22R, 10D, 1I
House: 64R, 35D

On a party line vote the R’s will come up just short of an override in the House.

The voters of Wisconsin wanted him as Governor. Now they got him. Good and harder.

gonzotx in reply to JR. | April 3, 2024 at 12:59 am

    No Milwaukee and
    Madison “found” some
Votes, Wisconsin croooked as Pennsylvania, AZ, all the rest

They stoked the 2020 from Trump

Danny in reply to gonzotx. | April 3, 2024 at 4:28 pm

Then they would have taken down a senator who barely won to.

We lost Wisconsin in 2022 by nominating someone we knew they didn’t want, running on things they didn’t want to hear and we did so knowingly.

It should be a lesson for the future because we need to win governor seats.

    herm2416 in reply to JR. | April 3, 2024 at 8:38 am

I loathe Evers. Walker was winning until the stoppage. Why he didn’t contest is beyond me.

Subotai Bahadur | April 2, 2024 at 4:35 pm

The concept of womens’ or girls’ sports is dead. It just does not know it yet. It will be interesting to see exactly how much the ‘woke’ schools will pay out of pocket to support teams that are basically men in drag who no one will come to see.

Subotai Bahadur

Ghostrider in reply to Subotai Bahadur. | April 2, 2024 at 6:07 pm

Why is this happening? Who is spending money in blue states to get these bills either passed, or vetoed?

Milhouse in reply to Ghostrider. | April 2, 2024 at 10:19 pm

No one is spending money. They don’t have to. This became the orthodoxy on university campuses 20 years ago, in high schools and among Democrat activists about 10 years ago, and is now an integral part of woke orthodoxy. You can’t be on the left without accepting it.

I just saw a short clip on Youtube of a leftist comedian complaining about how no differences of opinion is allows on his side. On the right, he says, if you agree with them on most issues but disagree on a few, they welcome you anyway and figure you’ll learn, while on the left if you agree with them on all but one issue you’re a fascist and they want nothing to do with you.

Dimsdale in reply to Subotai Bahadur. | April 3, 2024 at 8:37 am

But wouldn’t it be amusing to go to their meets and resoundingly boo them?

Rotting fruit and eggs may make a comeback as well.

Wisconsin…where the elected run from the electorate.

Chitragupta | April 2, 2024 at 4:44 pm

As the great man from Kenya once said, “Elections have consequences.”

Last time I checked half of the country is biological females so until the mothers start turning out at the polls and voting to protect their daughters this will only continue.

Wanna show love and compassion to kids?

Try being truthful and honest with them, that biological males can never become a biological female.

stevewhitemd | April 2, 2024 at 5:52 pm

At a certain point the DIAD’s (dudes in a dress) will force their way into women’s professional sport. Whether it’s the WNBA or NWSL, the Alpine World Cup or track and field, the blue states have no way to stop this from happening. I look forward to what happens after that.

E Howard Hunt | April 2, 2024 at 6:01 pm

Just look at him. Nature warns- Caspar Milquetoast.

How could a state that has such a republican majority in the legislature have elected this boob of a democrat as governor? Did the legislature shift dramatically after Evers was reelected? Perhaps a stab at a veto override would put some reps and sens on the hot seat.

Milhouse in reply to ekimremmit. | April 2, 2024 at 10:23 pm

It’s simple and not at all uncommon. Legislatures are elected from districts, so if you get a majority of the vote in a majority of districts you win. In principle 26% of the vote, properly distributed, could get a majority, and 51% could get all the seats. Whereas the governor is elected by the whole state, so you need 51% of all the votes.

The obvious solution is to require everyone participating in sports to have their blood tested to determine if they are eligible for male or female sports.

Milhouse in reply to ConradCA. | April 2, 2024 at 10:25 pm

How is that an “obvious solution”? Blood is no better than the current system. If they don’t agree to the current system, that genitals determine sex, how could they agree on blood?

BierceAmbrose | April 2, 2024 at 11:22 pm

Can we reinstate athletics in the nude?

Might help a bit with “one of these things is not like the other…”

My daughter played football in 1998 and 1998 in Texas. She was a starter in middle school O line, she was taller than most of the boys in 7 th grade, they were catching up in 8th

She wanted to play since 4 years old, thought she would grow out of it. I promised if they let her in 7 th grade , she could. I also told her they may sit you on the sidelines because they are not happy having to let you on the team.

They were great coaches and she won a starting job. They also made her a running back in the last home game so she could score a TD and extra point.

It was great experience for her and the boys on the team were very supportive .

She went on the play D1 basketball in college, she’s a very beautiful woman, 2 lovely daughters, has her Doctorate.

It was a great experience, but she was not overpowering men as boys do girls in HS and above and harming them.

And she didn’t claim to be male.

I played coed soccer as an adult and loved it. Men didn’t try to beat us up, it was a blast. Women did get 2 points for each goal while men got 1. I think it was done so men wouldn’t hog the ball and pass it to women to win. I loved my teams and we won the division nearly every year.

I don’t understand the deranged thinking in our sick society, they have perverted everything we find great joy in.

BY the way, I am
Having great joy watching the incredible talented women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament. Catlin Clark IOWA, JuJu of USC, LSU, UCONN

I can’t imagine men destroying this incredible sport, but I see it coming

When it’s on TV for all to see, maybe people will wake up, until then , these women must refuse to play against them, it’s the only way out

Let trans play with trans.

Period

    herm2416 in reply to gonzotx. | April 3, 2024 at 8:46 am

Then you would just have mediocre boys playing mediocre boys. How many women pose as men to play men’s sports?

“I can’t imagine men destroying this incredible sport, but I see it coming.”

Although you have a valid point, you seem to be ignoring a more significant issue: WOMEN destroying women’s sports. Did you see how many women are in the photo of Gov. Evers vetoing the bill? How many WI legislators are women? Did they support the bill? Don’t you think more male legislators would support the bill if they saw their female counterparts openly behind it? Why do so many women do nothing, but blame men for “destroying this incredible sport”?

      gonzotx in reply to Q. | April 3, 2024 at 1:13 pm

      Because it’s the men participating

Yes, I blame the women, everyone that plays with these men and supports the BS

So many of these sports organizations and competitions ground their admittance of male “trans” misogynists and narcissists into women’s sporting events on testosterone measurements, which myopically and stupidly ignores the salient fact that, irrespective of testosterone levels, these men still possess larger muscle mass and bone structure than their women rivals, creating an inherent and unavoidable advantage over them.

Here’s a way to separate the girls from the boys: a 10 minute routine on the balance beam.

As a somewhat humorous aside, I was looking up the particulars of the balance beam and came across this:

Why don’t men do balance beam?

For the same reason women don’t do the pommel horse. Men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics are different programs. They’re as different as acro and rhythmic, so there are different events and different codes of points.

They just can’t admit that there are physical reasons why real men don’t use their crotches as a pivot point.

This is exactly why we need to nominate people tailored for their states not raid the local homeless shelter for candidates.

2022 Wisconsin was easily winnable and losing it was inexcusable.
