Report: Gaza Terrorists Attack U.S. Humanitarian Pier During Construction Work

i24NEWS: “Gazan terrorists fired mortar shells on Wednesday towards the construction work on the humanitarian pier being built off the coast of Gaza.”

Talking about biting the hand that feeds. Palestinian terrorists on Wednesday attacked the U.S. pier being constructed off the coast of Gaza, the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported.

Gaza “terrorists launched mortars at the maritime construction site, damaging several pieces of engineering equipment,” the TV channel revealed. ” In addition, one person was slightly injured while running to a protected area.”

The U.S. military is involved in the construction of the floating dock. It is unclear if American servicemen or civilian contractors were present at the site during the terrorist attack.

Last month, President Joe Biden announced the decision to construct a floating pier for large-scale aid delivery to Gaza and supply aid through trucks and airdrops. “I’m directing the US military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the Gaza coast that can receive large ships carrying food, water, medicine and temporary shelters,” President Biden declared on March 7.

The i24NEWS reported:

Gazan terrorists fired mortar shells on Wednesday towards the construction work on the humanitarian pier being built off the coast of Gaza.

i24NEWS has learned that several pieces of American engineering equipment were damaged in the attack. In addition, one person was slightly injured while running to a protected area.

The United States has been building the floating pier in order to channel additional humanitarian aid that would arrive via sea route. U.S. President Joe Biden announced the plan during his State of the Union address in early March, clarifying that there would be “no U.S. boots on the ground.”

The IDF will likely be in charge of ensuring the security of the costly pier, and the distribution of aid that comes through it, although there has not been any official announcement yet about where the aid will be sourced from.

This is not the first time Palestinian terrorists have targeted humanitarian efforts to help the Gazans. In the past, Hamas terrorists have used delivery of food supplies to ambush Israeli troops. Terrorists have repeatedly attacked IDF soldiers, assisting civilians to evacuate the combat zones.

Pelosi urges Netanyahu to step down, calls him an “obstacle to two-state solution”

After Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi is now calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resign as the IDF gears up to flush out Hamas from its last-standing stronghold of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The former House Speaker described the Israeli Prime Minister as an ‘obstacle to the two-state solution.’ The Biden administration has been working behind the scenes to reward Palestinians with statehood in the aftermath of the October 7 massacre, news reports indicate.

The Biden White House and leading Democrats see Netanyahu as a significant opponent of their policy to appease the Palestinians. Last month, Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer called for Netanyahu’s ouster and fresh elections in Israel. Hillary also urged Netanyahu to step down, calling him ‘not a trustworthy leader.’

The British newspaper Telegraph, on Wednesday, reported Pelosi’s remarks:

Nancy Pelosi has called for Benjamin Netanyahu to resign as prime minister of Israel, accusing him of being unable to bring peace to the Gaza conflict.

The former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, 84, said that Mr Netanyahu’s “policy and practice” had been “terrible” and that he should stand aside.

Speaking to RTE, an Irish broadcaster, on a visit to the country, Ms Pelosi said the number of people who had died in Gaza since Hamas’s attack on October 7 was “too many”.

IDF blows up 12-mile Hamas tunnel, destroys terror infrastructure

Amid reports of Israeli military preparations for an assault on Hamas’s last-standing stronghold of Rafah, the IDF is turning up the heat on Palestinian terrorists operating in the rest of the enclave. After a large-scale raid in northern Gaza earlier this week, the Israeli military destroyed a 12-mile-long terror tunnel connecting Hamas fighting forces between north and south.

“The soldiers, in cooperation with the Yahalom Unit and combat engineers, located and destroyed over 20 kilometers of terror tunnels in the corridor area, part of which connected the Gaza Strip from the north to the south underground,” the Jerusalem Post reported Thursday.

Joint operations by the Israeli military and the air force destroyed Hamas’s terrorist infrastructure. “The IDF continues to operate in the central Gaza corridor and over the past day, eliminated terrorists and destroyed terror infrastructure,” the IDF said in a press release Thursday. “Throughout the past day, IAF fighter jets and aircraft struck over 50 targets. Furthermore, an IAF aircraft struck an operational tunnel shaft and additional terror infrastructure in the central Gaza Strip.”

quel surprise.

on the other hand – I am all for it being destroyed. All it will do is help the enemies of Israel, and this way, Israel is not destroying it. The only downside is that we are paying for it, and re-paying for it every time they (we) have to fix the damage

Hamas knows that the worse things are for Gaza’s population, the more the West will pressure Israel to stop the war, ignoring that Hamas directly and deliberately caused the misery.

A quarter of the people on the ships were probably intelligence assets of someone.
No spy agency head would have missed a chance to put an asset there.

Completely predictable. Stumbling mumbling biden, international symbol of weakness.

Putting american troops in harms way, without giving them the full and proper support to defend themselves.

Pelosi is an obstacle to an orderly, lawful society.

Why are they attacking us?
It’s quite simple. We forgot the magic words.
Later today, Biden will announce, “Don’t” and they will stop.

Calling for Netanyahu to step down just demonstrates how clueless American politicians are about the world. Let’s say he does resign; what does Clinton and Pelosi think will happen then? Maybe his replacement will back off trying to crush Hamas this time. But Hamas would just take that as a signal to attack again.

American politicians need to stop meddling in things they don’t understand. Like the Middle East and its centuries-old conflicts.

Gee, who could have possibly seen that coming?

Hamas wants the people hungry and angry. They don’t want fed people thinking “Gee, Hamas does a pretty crappy job.” Easier to control.

Stupid, impatient Palestinians, like little children besetting mommy while she is in the process of gift-wrapping their Christmas presents.

“Joe Biden … clarifying that there would be “no U.S. boots on the ground.”
“one person was slightly injured while running to a protected area.”

When you don’t let your black assets put their boots on the ground, you’re going to create a lot more of these sprained ankles.

“American politicians need to stop meddling in things they don’t understand.”

That’s like saying “dogs should stop licking themselves”.

People who aspire to the political class typically do so because they have an insatiable urge to meddle in things they don’t understand.

Feels like there’s a scorpion & the frog lesson in there somewhere. Gazans can’t help themselves from committing terrorist acts. It’s simply in their nature.

So does that mean they actually managed to get all the task force ships to the Gaza coast, floating and under power? Or are some of them still lagging behind?

Building the pier is an act which is possibly freeing the slaves (Gazans) from their masters (Hamas). It is almost as bad, as say, helping American blacks gain indeprendence from the their master (the DNC). Those who are dependent can be controlled.

For the most part, Gazans and Hamas are of the same mind. Personally, I think giving and aid and comfort is a huge mistake.

By all means, since according to you all Gazans and Hamas are of the same mind. kill all of them. including all of the Gazan babies, children, women and old men. Because they are all equally guilty, according to your demented analysis. No one in Israel or the IDF agrees with your opinion, so I am convinced that you are a supporter of Hamas and the Palestinians.

So… Only about 80% of Palis support Hamas and their actions on 10/7, and since its not actually 100%, JohnSmith is wrong to want to massacre them all and he is demented.

        (keen analysis by JR)

Every one of their deaths is a tragedy- and a direct result of Hamas’ attacks, threatening morev& more attacks in the future, and refusing to surrender.

War is not pretty or clean. Women children & elderly die in every war. That is why it was a bad idea for Hamas to start one.

The. Allies didn’t worry about German or Japanese women, children or elderly until the enemy was irrevocably destroyed and defeated. They couldn’t afford to. There was too much at stake.

Israel has even more at stake in this war. If Israel chooses to hold itself to a higher standard than the Allies, that’s Israel’s decision & no one else’s. If anyone else insists Israel meet a higher standard, then as we say here, Lech l’Azazel.

I can’t put that in English on this site but suffice it to say I have suggested a trip to a small town in Michigan whose 4 letter name begins with the 8th letter of the alphabet.

Gazans elected Hamas, and have exhibited no discernible sentiment expressing subsequent dissatisfaction with that choice.

Also, helping American blacks decide how to vote is not our problem either. Not my job anyway. It’s Biden’s and Trump’s job, but I’m not going to get caught up in that or think I have to do that work, or stick my neck out for that issue.

Netanyahu asks Pelosi to step down as she is an obstacle to the average IQ of the congress.

Good. I am cheering for hamas to severely damage or destroy this ridiculous virtue signal until the effort to re-supply hamas is abandoned.

Our ancestors are laughing at us.

It’s the same reason that Hamas blows up or shoots down any economic cooperation between Gaza and Israel: without Gazan suffering, Israel can’t be responsible for Gazan suffering.

As others stated, this attack isn’t surprising. Hamas doesn’t want any improvement in the living conditions of the people in Gaza b/c it might interfere with the ability of Hamas to maintain its power and its ability to blame everyone else.

Biden doesn’t mind if they destroy the pier, provided the terrorists-in-training on the U.S. campuses still vote for him in November.

One of the many reasons not to trust these people is that many are so ass backwards in an aggressive fashion that they are beyond help in many cases.

” the Israeli military destroyed a 12-mile-long terror tunnel connecting Hamas fighting forces between north and south.”

How hard would it be to fire up the earth moving equipment and cut Gaza into 3rds with big, deep, east to west trenches?

Make them deep enough to hold sea water and really change the dynamics of the situation. Yeah, the bad guys can still dig under them but now we are talking maybe one or two tunnels instead of dozens every block.

“After Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi is now calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resign…”

What’s these people’s obsession with inflicting regime change in the Middle East? Does San Fran Nan spouting this hawkishness mean she’s concluded Hillary will be the Joey Mumbles replacement on the ballot?

Dear Mr. Potatus, we have to invade Rafah to protect your darned pier. You want us in charge of its security, then that’s what we’re going to have to do. Thanks so much for the lovely pier.

Gaza is not our problem, except for wiping out Hamas. Abandon the pier now.
