Emerson College Students Arrested at Anti-Israel Encampment Outraged That Their Faces Were Shown in Media

Emerson College Students Arrested at Anti-Israel Encampment Outraged That Their Faces Were Shown in Media

“Having their faces published without their consent is a threat to their success and safety.”

The Boston Herald apparently published the photos of some of these students and they wrote to the paper, claiming that they didn’t consent to having their pictures shown. Why do you suppose they’re mad about that?

From Howie Carr:

Hey, Emerson Kids! Don’t Do The Crime If You Can’t Do The Time.

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

There isn’t a more much basic lesson in life than that, is there?

But apparently, it’s one of the many things the snotty, entitled little snowflakes of Emerson College were never taught during their ultra-expensive vacations in the Back Bay.

As you know, this week a bunch of them decided to transition, as it were, from attending Judy Garland tribute festivals into Hitler Youth, eagerly promoting the anti-Semitic genocide of the Muslim savages of Hamas.

For days, they were, as always, coddled. They were permitted to block sidewalks around the Transportation Building.

Finally, even Mayor Wu had had enough, and they were rounded up — 118 arrests, with several Boston cops injured.

Check out the accompanying photos of the beta males and whatevers in the dock at the BMC. If Hollywood ever remakes “Animal House,” those kids can be extras in the fraternity-rush scene, when the Deltas put all the losers together in the back room.

Seriously, those Emerson geeks are all out of Central Casting, especially the kid in the mask. He’s an even bigger dink than the one in the Emerson sweatshirt. Was there a coed ever impressed by a guy who bragged that he went to Emerson?

But the students at Emerson are so utterly clueless about real life that as soon as the photos began appearing on the Herald website, this paper was deluged with hysterical orders to remove the pictures.

Here was one non-negotiable demand from Sophia:

“Having their faces published without their consent is a threat to their success and safety.”

Their success? You gotta be kidding. They go to Emerson, for God’s sake.

And their safety? What about the cops’ safety? One of them suffered a broken ankle, another needed seven stitches in his right hand.

Someone named Joseph said “I do not consent to having my likeness featured.”

No s-it, snowflake. That’s why the KKK wear hoods. So they don’t get recognized either. You just use a fancy black and white scarf to do the trick.

Too bad, I hope they all look good in orange; and if I were their parents, I’d be asking for refunds from Emerson since it’s clear these students aren’t receiving much in the way of education if they really believe they have some right to privacy when they’re literally out in public.

Why should it be Emerson’s responsibility to teach children common sense? That is the responsibility of parents.

“Having their faces published without their consent is a threat to their success and safety.”

That’s the entire point, you unbefuckinglievable moron.

But it’s good for the success and even the safety of those who might inadvertently hire them, and those who will get the jobs instead, so mostly win here.

Howie assumes his audience knows what “BMC” is, but I found them anyway.

Defended by attorneys from the National Lawyers Guild. I’d be disappointed otherwise.

““They were peacefully protesting until the Boston police came,” [NLG atty.] Viana continued. “I’ve heard in this court today people using expressions like ‘Anti-semite’ and ‘future Hamas members.’ We do not benefit as a nation by labeling people who are out there expressing themselves. No one can deny that a lot of people were killed.”

Get that? “A lot of people were killed.”
Something was done by somebody.
Good people on both sides, I wager.

Thank you for the link. The Herald has put it behind their paywall. I guess BMC is “Boston Municipal Court”, such a nice courtroom with a beautiful high ceiling.

Their attorney does not deny that “a lot of people were killed” on 10/7. That’s a start. He might accidentally utter more words of truth if he isn’t careful.

“They were peacefully protesting until the Boston police came,”
IOW, the police made us break the law. We wasn’t doin’ NUFFIN’ ’till the fuzz showed up!

If you didn’t want to go to Chicago, why’d you get on the train?

Tell them to look up the definition of public place next time.

healthguyfsu | April 29, 2024 at 7:03 pm

Also, if you can’t show your face then you aren’t really protesting. The whole point of protesting is that you are out there standing up and making a case for the issue you support. If you hide, then you aren’t exactly doing that. I bet these same people scream with joy when someone gets cancelled for old tweets.

The police could get these riots and protests to stop fairly quickly.
1) Arrest the larpers
2) Immediately remove the masks in public to allow for positive ID.

Once these dweebs are deprived of their face coverings they will leave. They know that being identified will be a very bad career move for them.

Unless the campus was closed to the public, or shielded in some manner, they were in public view. The sheer hypocrisy of them expecting to shielded from the consequences of their idiotic behavior while calling for genocide is the depth of lunacy. They have to live with the consequences of their actions. No ways around it. Already know a number of employers who are saying they will not consider anyone from the Ivies and other institutions where these protests are occurring out of an abundance of caution. They don’t want to take any chances of any disruption like the Google encampment at their NYC office.

is a threat to their success and safety
As to safety, maybe they shouldn’t threaten people.
As to success, you decided this was the most important thing you could do with your life right now. If you are worried about it negatively impacting you down the road, maybe you shouldn’t have done it. That’s what we adults call “counting the cost” and “thinking things through.”

What cowards. They snicker at the rape and murder of hundreds of Israeli women and support psychopaths with guns. But the sniveling cowards can’t bear to be identified. No demonstrator should be allowed to cover their face. It’s unAmerican. It encourages casual participation. What is wrong with today’s universities!!! Good God, people make out tuition checks to these pathetic institutions?
