Illegal Alien Border Encounters Sets New February Record as Tensions Escalate in El Paso

Unfortunately, the border patrol has a backlog in El Paso since the illegal aliens have stayed longer than expected.

It’s not a shock that the data on February illegal alien encounters went under the radar. The media cannot mess up anything for President Joe Biden!

Undocumented alien encounters cooled off in January.

But February encounters set a new record for the month:

In February 2024, the U.S. Border Patrol recorded 140,644 encounters between ports of entry along the southwest border.

CBP’s total encounters along the southwest border in February 2024 were 189,922. Total encounters include U.S. Border Patrol encounters between ports of entry, as well as individuals who presented themselves at ports of entry (including those with CBP One™ appointments, detailed further below).

Agents in February 2022 encountered 156,000 undocumented aliens. February 2022 had the previous monthly high with 166,010 encounters.

“Since the appointment scheduling function in CBP One™ was introduced in January 2023 through the end of February 2024, more than 501,000 individuals have successfully scheduled appointments to present at ports of entry using CBP One™ instead of risking their lives in the hands of smugglers,” according to the report.

The report also broke down the nationalities through February 2024:

Through the end of February 2024, over 386,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans arrived lawfully and were granted parole under the parole processes. Specifically, 81,000 Cubans, 156,000 Haitians, 71,000 Nicaraguans, and 97,000 Venezuelans were vetted and authorized for travel; and 79,000 Cubans, 151,000 Haitians, 64,000 Nicaraguans, and 91,000 Venezuelans arrived lawfully and were granted parole.

“CBP continues to work with our foreign and domestic partners to enhance enforcement efforts: aggressively targeting unscrupulous human smugglers, and swiftly applying consequences against those who cross the border illegally and have no legal basis to remain in the United States,” said Troy A. Miller, Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner.

Miller continued: “Despite the challenges we are facing along the southwest border, as well as the positive trends of increasing levels of trade and travel, CBP continues to surge enforcement to stop dangerous drugs from entering the country; our agents and officers interdicted 294% more methamphetamine, 164% more heroin, and 140% more cocaine in February than January. It is essential that we provide our personnel with the resources they need to continue to expand this critical work.”

On Thursday, New York Post reporter Jennie Taer caught an undocumented alien stampede in El Paso, TX.

A similar encounter happened a day later when people started tearing down the border barriers.

Officials arrested undocumented aliens for violating “Title 8, which makes it illegal to cross between ports of entry.”

Unfortunately, the border patrol has a backlog in El Paso since the undocumented aliens have stayed longer than expected.

El Paso officials renew its emergency declaration so it can use buildings as emergency shelters, according to Deputy City Manager Mario D’Agostino:

“We’ve actually had to house in hotels twice in the past five days,” D’Agostino said.

He said the problem isn’t how many migrants are arriving, but who is arriving.

“We’re seeing a lot of Venezuelans,” D’Agostino said. “They don’t have a means to get to where they’re going, so, they don’t have that financial sponsorship to move on to those destination cities that they’ve already chosen. They’re relying on the state’s transportation system.”

But, the state’s transportation system has been slow, which is causing long stays.

“The hotel utilization was due to the fact that the state was only doing transport once a week,” D’agostino said.

How is this not an INVASION?

This is what Democrats want.

What just happened in a Moscow theater is on the agenda for the US sometime this fall. The number of terrorists in our country must be numbered in the thousands by now and growing. Like 9/11, a cell phone coordinated attack is easy to accomplish. Football season is a very good time to harm many Americans at once with a coordinated attack at several stadiums. Oh Joe, what have you done?

Can the court date be considered a court order so it is a felony if the. illegals fail to show up? Punishment would be a deportation order issued against them.
