Hamas Internal Security Chief Killed During IDF Raid On Shifa Hospital

Hamas Internal Security Chief Killed During IDF Raid On Shifa Hospital

More proof of Hamas use of hospitals for terror activities. IDF: “Mabhouh was hiding in a compound at the Shifa hospital, from which he operated and advanced terrorist activity.”

Since 2014 we have covered Hamas embedded itself inside, around, and under Shifa Hospital complex, comprising many buildings, in Gaza city.

Even after Israel cleared the hospital complex of Hamas, Hamas returned and started using the hospital again, leading to an Israeli raid last night. The intitial reports were that a “Senior” Hamas official was the target, but until this morning, his identity was not released:

There was speculation that it must be a very senior person for the IDF to throw as many resources into the raid as it did.

Today the IDF revealed the identity of the target, Faiq Habhoud, the head of the Operations Directorate of Hamas’ Internal Security:

The hostpital complex was infested with terrorists, with fierce firefights from within, leading to many dead Hamas terrorists:

Are we supposed to believe the hospital officials did not know?

This guy came from a terror family.

Of course, the W.H.O. is blaming Israel:

He was the security chief? And he got killed?

I guess he didn’t do a very good job providing security.

It took a major raid, and it sounds like a pitched battle, to kill him. That would indicate he was doing a very good job at it. And it means it’s not as if he’d simply moved into the hospital and was living in one of the rooms; he had put significant forces there and turned it (once again) into a working military base. A military base that also treats patients doesn’t thereby become a “hospital” with the accompanying protected status.

Only wish the battles had happened earlier when Israeli casualties could have been less. Pericles wrote that it is better to fight a war sooner than have a worse war later…. still holds today.

“A military base that also treats patients doesn’t thereby become a “hospital” with the accompanying protected status.”

Good point Milhouse. Along the same lines:

A military base that also teaches students doesn’t thereby become a “school” with the accompanying protected status.

A military base that also holds worship services doesn’t thereby become a “mosque” with the accompanying protected status.

Hamas has a lot to learn!

Henry P in reply to Peabody. | March 18, 2024 at 4:22 pm

No, Hamas has already learned this lesson well. It is the fatuous Western elites, the anti-semites, the media, and the likes of Biden and Blinken who have a lot to learn. Hamas (and Iran) plays them like a fiddle.

What they haven’t learned is that that trick doesn’t work no more.

I heard he was sharpening a great big spike to impale his enemies on. He should have realized it was Purim.

What I don’t understand is why they were able to move back in, why wasn’t the network of tunnels boobytrapped?

        Milhouse in reply to JohnSmith100. | March 18, 2024 at 9:17 pm

I don’t think they’re in the tunnels. They’re in the buildings.

GWB in reply to Milhouse. | March 19, 2024 at 9:32 am

The question remains: How did he get back into northern Gaza.
I would surmise it’s because the Israelis left way too many living terrorists (in the guise of ‘civilians’) there when they went through.

Drive them ALL out and make it a wasteland until you’re certain all of the terrorists are dead and gone.

DaveGinOly in reply to Milhouse. | March 18, 2024 at 10:12 pm

The poor job wasn’t the defense of his offices in the hospital. The “poor job” for a security chief were the lapses in his own opsec that allowed the IDF to learn his location in the first place.

Some people would call that irony, but I prefer “divine justice” myself.

JackinSilverSpring | March 18, 2024 at 11:32 am

Hamas is yelling that what Israel did is a war crime. Of course, Hamas ignores the fact that using hospitals for military purposes is the original war crime. WHO BTW is another one of the many useless agencies of the useless UN.

Way to go, IDF. Finish the job! Godspeed.

Chuck Schumer is deeply offended by these developments.

Hamas leadership dying in and around hospitals is much akin to Civil War battles being fought on current parkland.

BOOM town!

Schumer is going to be angry. LOL

Poor Fake Moo-bee-doo-be-doo. He is now pushing up daisies. Like his brother, Moo-bee-Mah-bee-hoochie, fewer leaders to plan the murder of Jews.

May he rest in pieces.

Steven Brizel | March 18, 2024 at 4:58 pm

Good riddance! One less terrorist on Planet Earth!

Steven Brizel | March 18, 2024 at 5:02 pm

https://www.jns.org/hamas-no-3-marwan-issa-wounded-or-killed-in-israeli-strike-report/ The only good Hamas chieftain is a dead Hamas chieftain

BigRosieGreenbaum | March 18, 2024 at 6:00 pm

“Hospitals should never be battlegrounds. We are terribly worried about the situation at Al-Shifa Hospital in northern #Gaza, which is endangering health workers, patients and civilians.”

Tedros says what? That man needs to take several seats and shut up. Actually, I’m all for a direct missile attack of the WHO.

Every statement he makes just makes me MORE determined to get the US out of the UN and the UN OUT of the US!! All those funds could be used to help AMERICANS! AND if enough people pull out they’ll have to lay off a bunch of the “elite leaders” and the lower ranked rapists!

This event illustrates that no quarter can be given to Hamas terrorists and their ilk: dead Palis can’t come back and infest previously secured areas again.

Antony Blinken is directly responsible for Israeli casualties at this point … changing Rules of Engagement after the battle has already been joined

Outrageous

It is so collosally outrageous, and unethical

He is blatantly violating his own cherished “Rules Based Order”

Blinken seems like a guy who was always getting sand kicked in his face. From boyhood until today — everywhere he goes, to every country that he visits…… surely he senses the complete lack of respect that he commands everywhere he goes.

But in Israel — in Israel alone!!! — he makes demands that no country in history could ever possibly live up to.

And it makes him feel manly

He’s like the no-account husband who is treated by everybody like the mediocrity that he is — and then he comes home and takes it out on his wife and kids, because they rely on him for survival

What a punk

What an absolute punk.

    Milhouse in reply to PT-110. | March 18, 2024 at 9:19 pm

No, he is not directly responsible. He can demand whatever he likes, but he can’t make Israel do anything. It’s the Israeli government that has chosen to accept some (though not most) of his demands, so it is responsible for the consequences.

BLSinSC in reply to Milhouse. | March 19, 2024 at 9:57 am

Mil – you don’t think that the Israelis are going an EXTRA mile to keep “civilian” deaths to a minimum at the expense of their own soldiers? Blinken, Biden, and BLUNDER have almost come right out in defense of hamass and “eluded” to “holding Israel responsible” for collateral damages!

Sand monkey go boom!

In other news Tucker is seen crying like a little girl because one of his children died.

In a hospital?!
Say it isn’t so!
/puts away shocked face/

I have a SOLUTION to the TWO big situations we face! Hamass and Ukraine! Why not just round up all the Gazans and “emigrate” them to Ukraine? Not sure how many BILLION$ that would take, but would be money well spent! That would free the area of present and FUTURE terrorists and provide Ukraine with a NEW ARMY!!

Who says there’s no good news?

Sgt Harry Shapiro | March 19, 2024 at 3:12 pm

I’m trying to remember:

After WWII didn’t the Americans remain in Japan? For a while

After WWII didn’t the Soviets and French and Brits and Americans remain in Germany for a few weeks? Oops I meant years

After the American Civil War didn’t the Federal army remain in the former confederacy? For a few days ooops I meant over a decade

After the French and Indian War didn’t the French have to leave North America for a while? Oops I meant for forever

And on and on and on and on — the historical precedents are endless

————

But Israel is expected to behave differently after this war? Iffff they’re able to win this war??

It’s so crazy

I guess the world is so accustomed to Jews getting slaughtered, the world seems to just accept it as nothing particularly unusual r upsetting
