Teen Suspected of Attacking Cops in Times Square Arrested for Robbing Macy’s in Queens

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg didn’t request bail for the majority of suspects, all illegal immigrants, in the beating of two cops in Times Square last month.

All but one were released. All now face indictments.

Well, they nabbed one of them…for another crime.

Cops arrested and charged Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, 19, with robbery and petit larceny for allegedly participating in a robbery of a Macy’s in Queens.

The robbery occurred on Tuesday:

He is one of four people charged for allegedly entering the Queens Center Mall around 5:33 p.m. Tuesday and “acting in concert” to steal clothes that they tried to hide in bags. When a 27-year-old security guard confronted the group, they “struggled,” police said, and one of the suspects punched him in the face. The security guard suffered minor injuries as a result, but refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspects stole $600 worth of clothing.

No one is shocked, especially law enforcement.

“Those who attack NYC police officers have zero respect for the law. This is exactly what happens when our justice system fails to hold them accountable — they are emboldened to victimize other New Yorkers. He needs to be put back behind bars and kept there,” stated Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry.
