“Use caution. Avoid the area.”

Temple has been grappling with a serious crime problem for months now.

NBC News in Philadelphia reports:

Gunshots heard while police tried to break up large crowd near Temple University, officials said

Philadelphia police were working to disperse a large crowd near Temple University’s campus Saturday evening, according to officials.

Officers responded to the intersection of Broad Street and Cecil B. Morre Avenue just after 4:30 p.m. after an E-911 call reported that there were about 500 juveniles gathering, police said.

Once police got to the scene, several gunshots could be heard, according to authorities.

Temple University sent out an alert on social media urging all students to avoid the area.

Don’t understand why the police even bother putting themselves in harm’s way. The prosecutor won’t prosecute. Besides, the woke universities dislike police at least since the demise of St. George Floyd. The police should have told them to go pound sand.

Philadelphia overwhelmingly voted for this. Let them live and die with the consequences.

Has temple gone totally ghetto? Is that the scary side of town?
