Marianne Williamson ‘Unsuspends’ Presidential Campaign: “Donald Trump’s power is on the incline, and President Biden’s is on the decline”

She’s not wrong. About that, at least.

Loopy Marianne Williamson, flaky guru to the stars, unsuspended her Democrat presidential campaign Wednesday, following her win of ::: checks notes::: 3% vote in the Michigan primary. Granted, she had already withdrawn and not campaigned in the state, but 3% is pretty lousy (at 20K votes).

I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that her 3% showing is not what changed her and her team’s mind. It’s the 13.2% who voted “uncommitted” for a total of over 101K votes. Biden won the primary soundly with 618K votes (81%). It should be noted that the #AbandonBiden effort sought to win 10K votes; obviously, they far exceeded that goal even factoring in the “normal” Michigan uncommitted votes.

NPR reports:

The campaign’s goal was to get more than 10,000 votes, approximately the margin that former President Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by in 2016 when turnout dropped compared to former President Barack Obama’s reelection run four years earlier.

In previous presidential primaries, the uncommitted option in Michigan has gotten thousands of votes. For comparison, in 2012, the last time that Democrats had an incumbent president on the ballot, more than 20,000 people chose to vote uncommitted in Michigan.

Whatever Williamson’s thought process (such as it is with this kooky lady), she has exactly zero shot of winning the Democrat nomination. If they wouldn’t let Bernie have it, and he was actually popular with the base both times, they certainly aren’t going to let her.

Fox59 reports:

Author Marianne Williamson announced Wednesday that she is “unsuspending” her presidential campaign, claiming American voters are “watching a car crash in slow motion” with the current candidates.

“Hey, I have an important announcement to make. As of today, I am unsuspending my campaign for the presidency of the United States,” Williamson said in a video posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The long-shot Biden challenger announced she was suspending her campaign in a video three weeks ago.

This is yet another sign that the Democrats are in complete disarray, and Biden’s really stuck between a rock and a hard place–of his own making. Biden (or whomever is actually running the country) chose unpopular, ineffectual, unlikable Kamala Harris as his running mate, but that’s another post for another day.

Today’s rock and hard place concerns the very important fact that the vast majority of Americans support Israel, it’s in our very American spirit to do so, so he can’t do what the pro-Hamas, baby beheading and gruesome rape and torture supporters demand.

The Raw Story provides some quotes from her X video announcement.

“I had suspended it because I was losing the horse race,” said Williamson in her announcement video. “But something so much more important than the horse race is at stake here, and we must respond. Right now, we have a fascist standing at the door. Everybody’s all upset about it. Well we should be upset about it. But we’re not going to defeat the fascist by — well, by what? What is President Biden offering?”

She went on to claim that Biden is not offering voters anything other than claiming “the economy is really doing well.” . . . . And she said she would defeat the “dark juggernaut” of Trump by “lifting people up.”

Yeah, nothing lifts people up like fear-mongering lies about Trump being a fascist.

CNN has more:

In a statement, released the day after the Michigan primary in which a sizable amount of Democratic voters selected “uncommitted” in a protest vote over President Joe Biden’s Middle East policy, Williamson pointed to what she said was the president’s vulnerability in a general election matchup against former President Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump’s power is on the incline, and President Biden’s is on the decline,” Williamson said, while calling Biden “clearly a weak candidate to defeat Donald Trump in 2024.”

She’ll get less delegates than Nimrata. Because the Democrats are banking on Haley. That’s why Democrats are coming out in droves to vote for Miss “Less than 40%”

“I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that her 3% showing is not what changed her and her team’s mind.”

My tinfoil hat prefers another explanation: a new dark money pump powered up just for her.

Some people sure like to make Trump the bogeyman to human existence, but they are hard pressed to cite any examples beyond mean tweets. They may be in for a very hard time as their contemporaries prepare for actual insurrection.

“Right now, we have a fascist standing at the door. Everybody’s all upset about it. ”

Well, that’s true. But she mis-identifies the fascist. The fascist is Joe Biden, busy siphoning off the gravy train while working closely with the military/industrial complex, not to mention the Ukranians and Chinese.

Like him or not, Donald Trump deals in rational, effective policies designed to promote the general welfare. The opposition tries to insult him by calling him a “populist,” but the reality is that the populace has changed since that word was coined.

Our populace is literate. It includes many, many doctors, lawyers, and engineers. It also includes a LOT of skilled workers, the kind of hardworking, thoughtful and creative people who can educate themselves on any topic that interests them. At one time, only nobility could do this.

Collectively, our populace is smarter than the fake big shots who work for the government and all those NGOs that live off of grants instead of productivity. And, there are more of us than them.

People on the Left like to throw out the line about Trump being a fascist, yet there is no evidence they can cite to back up that statement.

That’s OK with them, because they don’t even know what the term means.
    There’s an Italian saying:
“There are two kinds of fascists – fascists and anti-fascists.”
    Which side proudly supports “anti-fascists”?

On the increase vs on the decline.

“De” means downward owing to “off” or “from” but “in” doesn’t mean upward.

No-one orders Marianne ale….

“This is yet another sign that the Democrats are in complete disarray”

The Democrats will win on abortion, no matter how disarrayed they are.

I mean this in all sincerity…Who?

“Unsuspends”? Isn’t the word she seems “resumes”?

Oops, my bad.
Got a text from the dems (not sure why, always voted repub side) not to vote uncommitted.
Michigan is an open primary so I declared democrat and voted uncommitted. So this was all my fault.

Did she ever “work” for Hustler? Ah well, everybody has to serve someone. May her spiritual blessings be all she ever hoped for..

I’m entering my cat in the D primary, he’ll have as much of an impact on the race is Williamson.

If you place third behind uncommitted, you probably should not be resurrecting your campaign.
