Fire at Minnesota Building That Houses Three Conservative Organizations Being Investigated as Arson
“The building has been deemed uninhabitable and will take months to repair.”
One of the offices affected here is that of the Powerline blog. This sure does look like they were targeted.
Alpha News reports:
Fire at building housing 3 conservative organizations being investigated as arson
Federal and local agencies are investigating a fire that broke out early Sunday morning in an office building in Golden Valley that houses three of the state’s most prominent conservative organizations.
Ashlee Sherrill, public information officer for the St. Paul Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), did not provide details or indicate who, or if anyone, was targeted but confirmed the investigation is moving forward as an “arson investigation.”
John Hinderaker, president of the Center of the American Experiment (CAE), said based on the location of the fires in the building, it appears that someone targeted conservative groups.
“The fires were obviously set by someone. They targeted conservative organizations. They didn’t firebomb the chiropractors or psychologists or Manufacturers Alliance. We are working with authorities to try to identify the perpetrators,” Hinderaker said.
The Golden Valley Fire Department responded to a fire at 8421 Wayzata Blvd. shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning, according to the fire department.
The nonprofits TakeCharge, CAE, and the Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC) all rent office space in the building. CAE and TakeCharge are located on the first floor. UMLC is on the third floor. All three organizations advocate for conservative causes across the state and each reported extensive damage.
Sherrill said the investigation is a team effort. The FBI, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the Hennepin County Fire Investigation team, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal Division are all investigating the incident.
The building has been deemed uninhabitable and will take months to repair.

It was a mostly peaceful protest.
I look forward to Biden and others decrying the far-left Progressive Equity Diversity Organization (PEDO) democrats responsible. Any day now.
They’ll deny it was leftists until they’re caught, and you know the chances of that happening. They’ll claim it was a feminist offended by the “and finally…” girls on TWIP.
I’m sure they’ll dedicate the entirety of the resources of the Golden Valley field office of the FBI. Well, the interns, and Peggy from accounting.
The FBI promoted Peggy into customer service.
Can someone please help me understand something? Here we have what appear to be multiple arsons in a non-government building in a Minneapolis suburb. County and state fire and law enforcement officials, and the FBI, are investigating.
What is the FBI involvement?
A suspicious mind might conclude that the FBI is there to identify, seize and sequester evidence they don’t want the public to know about. For example, was election related information stolen from these organizations and were the fires used to obfuscate that theft? Is there interior and exterior surveillance video available and what does it show? Are there indications that any FBI sources may have been in any way involved in these events?
If asked, of course, the FBI will claim it’s all part of an ongoing investigation and they’re unable to discuss it for fear of compromising said investigation.
Inquiring minds want to know.
You answered your own question. Correctly.

It’s the same rationale by which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms — a tax revenue-oriented organization under the Treasury Department — turned itself into the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives, despite the complete lack of any special federal tax on explosives. (And yes, this was before the creation of
HeimatlandSicherheitsamtHomeland Security.)It didn’t turn itself into anything. Congress did that, and transferred it to the DOJ, It no longer has any connection to revenue.
I have discovered I was wrong in remembering that BATF took on their “Explosives” authority before 9-11. They did not. Their name was changed at the same time they were moved from Treasury to DOJ/Homeland Security. My error.
