Democrats and Media Viciously Attacking Special Counsel Robert Hur For Describing Biden as ‘Elderly Man With Poor Memory’

Kamala Harris: “what I saw [in] that report last night, I believe, as a former prosecutor, the comments that were made by that prosecutor [were] gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate”

You can tell how damaging the Hur report is to Biden based strictly on the reaction from Democrats and members of the activist media. They’re freaking out, and they have good reasons to do so.

The report itself was bad enough, but then Biden compounded the problem with his disastrous television address and the entire professional left is now in damage control mode.

Kamala Harris was rushed out in front of cameras immediately.

FOX News reports:

Kamala Harris angrily attacks special counsel who spotlighted Biden memory lapses as ‘politically motivated’

Vice President Kamala Harris sharply attacked Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on President Biden’s handling of classified documents, Friday, as “politically motivated” and “gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate.”

A reporter asked Harris in Washington if she thought Hur’s report that recounted several memory lapses by the president was fair. Harris blasted Hur as being “wrong on the facts” and thought he should have shown greater integrity.

“I’m glad you asked,” Harris said. “Listen, I have been privileged and proud to serve as vice president of the United States with Joe Biden as president of the United States. And what I saw [in] that report last night, I believe, as a former prosecutor, the comments that were made by that prosecutor [were] gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate.”

She is so outrageously outraged.

Word has gone out. Attack, attack, attack.

The New York Times went with ‘Republicans Pounce’ because of course they did.

Remember this Obama bro?

Here’s an official Biden/Harris Twitter/X account using Jeffrey Toobin as a defense.

This is a former Obama campaign manager.

Media Matters is big mad.

They’re so upset.

It was a “sloppy report” says the MSNBC guest.

So much rage.

Cheap shots?

Oh my…

Gratuitous remarks.

LOL.

This is actually pretty funny. Democrat strategist Paul Begala said on CNN that the news caused him to wet the bed.

Democrats and their media allies can howl at the moon from now until November, but it’s not going to change public perception of Biden. People saw Biden confirm Hur’s findings on live TV. The narrative has shifted.

“Don’t pay attention to that man behind the curtain.”

The more they complain, the more out of touch they appear. Everyone can see it for themselves. Will we less and less of Biden? If he’s tip-top, put him out there and let’s find out.

It’s said that Michelle Obama is lurking. Lurking deeper is Susan Rice.

Yes: Let the Dems shriek “The Emperor DOES TOO have clothes!!!” as much as they want. After Biden’s recent press conference, every can see that he’s not only senile, but far from being the kindly old fuddy-duddy that Hur described.

Joe Biden’s lawyers can still demand that Hur indict him

I really wondering what Joe Biden and his legal team were expecting from Special Counsel Hur.

The current response seems to be designed to create a smokescreen over the fact that he did take classified documents out of a SCIF and share them with his ghostwriter.

Diva ingrate and prima donna, Obama, will never run for political office. This loathsome harridan has never worked an honest day in her miserable life, and, she isn’t about to start, now. She likes the comforts provided by her undeserved and filthy lucre too much to throw herself into the meat grinder of political campaigning.

Hope you are right but remember biden. Much of biden’s campaigning was thru surrogates while he sat in the basement.

guyjones in reply to LeftWingLock. | February 10, 2024 at 2:21 pm

Biden as a candidate had the excuse of Wuhan virus and the infirmities of old age, in order to stay in his basement, during the 2020 campaign.

Obama is in decent shape and has no such excuses — if she were a candidate, she’d actually have to pound the pavement, glad-hand the fawning admirers, etc., and, that is more work than she will ever stoop to performing.

LeftWingLock in reply to guyjones. | February 10, 2024 at 3:24 pm

I think we can agree to disagree on this point. She would be a D which means the press will never call her to task no matter what she does.

guyjones in reply to guyjones. | February 10, 2024 at 4:09 pm

Yo, “LeftWingLock” — I can’t reply to your comment, below.

There’s no disagreement between us on the subject of the media giving Dhimmi-crats’ a perennial free pass. That reality goes without saying.

My only point, which I believe a cursory analysis of Obama’s scant time spent in cushy, nepotism-obtained private sector sinecures and her obvious diva persona and sense of entitlement, support, is that she is simply too manifestly lazy and inured to her cushy and cloistered lifestyle, to ever actually run for office. That’s it.

Oh, please God NOT Susan Rice. That woman is evil. I’d almost prefer Biden. Rice would be a true catastrophe for America!

Who are you going to believe? Your own eyes and ears every time Brandon goes out in public and opens his mouth or the Corporate Press and Dem hacks?

BTW: The report did not clear Brandon of anything. It clearly said he mishandled classified material over a far long span of time than Trump ever did and was more careless in doing it. The report just said Brandon is so feebleminded that a jury would not convict him of it.

For Biden to immediately come out and go on an old mans angry rant lying repeatedly and promptly mixing up the leaders of Egypt and Mexico sure put a point on the report. Despite the lefts insistence that Biden was cleared of wrong doing, he was not. He just wasn’t charge because of mental incompetence. The report clearly said he did indeed mishandle Classified Information.

Biden will never make it to November, and the press will hamstring Trumps second term with never-ending accolades for Biden.

As a former prosecutor, shouldn’t she be against bailing out rioters who burn down cities?? Or does she get to pick and choose what upsets her??

Fine. Biden is sharp as a tack. When will he be indicted for mishandling classified information and treason?

moonmoth in reply to Rusty Bill. | February 10, 2024 at 12:24 pm

Yup. Call Kamala as a witness for the prosecution.

LeftWingLock in reply to Rusty Bill. | February 10, 2024 at 2:18 pm

Can’t happen. Can’t indict the president while in office. Only option is impeachment (which ain’t gonna happen).

JohnSmith100 in reply to Rusty Bill. | February 10, 2024 at 4:40 pm

Biden was never very intelligent, but he scheme to collect thousands of classified doctments and squirrel them away in multiple locations, and probaly sell them over decades. We need to be investigating rather there was treason, and someone needs to be assessing the damage the Biden family has caused. There appears to be enough evidence to prosecute Hunter now, Joe seeing him put through the wringer might crack and start spilling the beans.

Joe’s presidency is a racket, it has been from the beginning.

diver64 in reply to Rusty Bill. | February 12, 2024 at 4:47 am

That’s kinda the rub, isn’t it. Either he is incompetent and should be removed from office via 25th Amendment or he is totally competent and should be charged for mishandling classified material. The treason thing would have to be proved, though. There is no hard evidence yet outside of a letter Hunter sent to Burisma officials which contained information that would be hard to prove how he got it. I’m not sure that would be enough.

All parties agree that he is sharp as a tack. We just disagree about which end of the tack.

Leave it to George Takei to talk about about “covering ass”. His is uncovered and always wide open. Beam me up Scottie, I’ve seen enough!

And let them subpoena Hur – let’s get that 5-hour Biden interview out in public to support his claims. I hope there is video tape of that. I don’t believe Hur will adopt the Chrissy Wray tactic of “I don’t recall”.

Streisand Effect applies.

Hur proffered the only rationale he could remotely contrive (as illegitimate and unavailing as it is, from fairness and legal standpoints) in order to let crime boss, Biden, off the hook for manifestly criminal conduct that any other person who wasn’t a prominent Dhimmi-crat would have been prosecuted for. And, on top of that, he gave Dhimmi-crats a great exit ramp to kick Biden to the curb and run with a new presidential nominee.

But, in typical ingrate fashion, all that the Dhimmi-crat media care about is that Biden’s “brand” is tarnished and his re-election prospects are potentially damaged.

And, the always

Exactly! Hur said Biden did the deeds. So, what other rationale would these gaslighters want him to have used to let Biden go uncharged? How about a simple one-liner that Biden seemed so impaired that he could not participate in his own defense, perhaps what Hur actually thought?

      guyjones in reply to jb4. | February 10, 2024 at 4:20 pm

You may be right that this what Hur thought to himself. My guess is that he didn’t run with that type of statement (opining that Biden wouldn’t be able to participate in his own defense), because it would have been even more damning than the statements that his report contained, about Biden forgetting when he was Vice-President, when his son died, etc.

Well, it was President Donald Trump who appointed Hur to be the next United States District Attorney for the District of Maryland.

It would be nice to see a prominent Dhimmi-crat who brazenly broke federal laws, actually criminally charged, for once.

Crone Clinton and dotard Biden have both skated, now. This charade of total immunity from criminal prosecution that is granted to prominent Dhimmi-crats is revolting and galling.

walls in reply to guyjones. | February 10, 2024 at 1:26 pm

Don’t forget about Sandy Burglar [Clinton NSA Advisor] who removed classified documents from the National Archives in 2003 and stuffed them down his pant leg while exiting the building. He originally lied about this to investigators. The penalty for this dem? A $50,000 fine and two years PROBATION. Gee, double standard much?

guyjones in reply to walls. | February 10, 2024 at 1:32 pm

Yeah, good point. The indefensible non-prosecution of Berger for obvious and brazen crimes involving classified docs really marked the beginning of this galling and lawless trend whereby prominent Dhimmi-crats who fragrantly and brazenly violate laws pertaining to government documents receive special treatment and immunity from prosecution. Crone Clinton and Biden are the most obvious examples, post-Berger.

When Biden took those documents he was a middle-aged man with a good memory and the awareness he was not authorized to remove those documents and maybe not permitted to see some of them as well.

So how do you not prosecute Biden while at the same time a colleague is prosecuting Trump for keeping documents that he was entitled to?

Yeah… they know. What they don’t know is how stupid they sound.

guyjones in reply to George S. | February 10, 2024 at 1:24 pm

Hur’s rationale for non-prosecution is transparently desperate, politically motivated and legally unavailing.

And, as you point out, Biden’s state of mind at the time that the crimes were committed, is what’s relevant. Non-prosecution out of sympathy for the criminal’s currently declining mental and physical state is a farcical conceit.

I’ve been wondering exactly how they would get rid of Biden.

This is definitely a shot across the bow.

TargaGTS in reply to Petrushka. | February 10, 2024 at 1:50 pm

They’re in a weird place. They want to put enough pressure on him to drop out. But, they (presumably) don’t want him to resign. If Harris were to become president before the convention, there is absolutely no way they could nominate anyone else…presuming she actually wants to be president, which might be an unsupported presumption. IDK.

Whatever the case, if Biden doesn’t want to go and simply refuses to cooperate – which would be VERY on the nose for people suffering from dementia – the Dems have really painted themselves into a corner. It’s entirely uncertain – probably unlikely – that they could unilaterally displace Biden once he’s won enough delegates to guarantee a 1st ballot victory; there are simply too many party rules and state LAWS that bind pledged delegates at least on the 1st ballot and many until the 2nd ballot. Trying to show Biden to the door at the convention when he refuses to leave will be a spectacle of biblical proportions…and I’m here for it.

destroycommunism | February 10, 2024 at 1:17 pm

in fact there are sooo pissed that they are changing the name of the report

from

HUR

to

HIm report

If Hur was actually biased against Biden, he would have filed charges, like they did with Trump.
Actually, he was doing Biden a favor, by not filing charges and using the excuse that he was an old man with poor memory, and was unlikely to be convicted.

In comparison, there was Putin.

Hur is going to wish that he had charged Biden, before all is said and done. He was going to receive the full force of Dhimmi-crats’ vitriol, spite, attacks and slanders, whatever way he came out on this, so, he should have done what the facts of the case actually support — full and unabashed prosecution of Biden, for obvious crimes that anyone else in his shoes, who didn’t have a “D” after his name, would have been prosecuted for.

DaveGinOly in reply to guyjones. | February 10, 2024 at 7:13 pm

Hur’s report only provides a recommendation, yes? If so, there’s nothing preventing Garland from prosecuting Biden, except he’s the sitting POTUS. Seeing that Garland is highly unlikely to both initiate a prosecution and call for Biden’s impeachment & removal, Joe is off the hook at least until Trump is reelected.

His mind is so bad he can’t hold a conversation with a world leader without reading notes from a card in his hand.

In order to fake a news conference, they contact a reporter ahead of time and give them a question to ask Biden which he then reads the answer off a card.

He’s gotten to the point where he can no longer use the tall steps with the red carpet on Air Force One. He now uses the elevator inside the plane to go to the lower deck and come out.

Biden’s mind is so bad he can’t find his way out of the rose garden without the help of the Easter Bunny.

Bottom line: He’s maxed out on his alzheimer meds and there’s no place to go from here but down.

The crime boss and dotard already has one foot in the grave, and, that’s being charitable. The grim reaper’s scythe is an inch away from his wizened and corrupt face.

A two hundred-year-old, arthritic tortoise wearing lead boots moves with more purpose, vigor and alacrity than dotard Biden, on his best day.

Kamala forced to come rushing to the defense of dotard biden. The babylon bee has no shortage of material.

Heck, if I was Harris, I’d be pushing for the 25th so I could be the first woman president

Neo in reply to MarkS. | February 10, 2024 at 6:05 pm

In October 2020, before Joe Biden was elected president and three months before Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference. She was touting a bill to create a bipartisan commission that could determine a sitting president’s ability to carry out the duties of the office.

The original bill’s author was Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat and former constitutional lawyer who would go on to lead the second Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump. In Pelosi’s eerily portentous remarks, she said the measure wasn’t explicitly aimed at Trump, but his mental health “reminded” Democrats of why such a commission was needed.

“This is not about President Trump. He will face the judgment of the voters, but he knows the need for us to create a process for future presidents,” she said. “This legislation applies to future presidents, but we are reminded of the necessity of action by the health of the current president.”

And yet, if Hur hadn’t described the President as feeble and an object of pity, he would have had no excuse for failing to recommend prosecution. Democrats show their gratitude for his prosecutorial sleight of hand by denouncing him. And Hur shows how a Special Council think’s he’s so special that he can predict that a no jury would ever set aside their sympathies and deliver a verdict based on facts and the law. Sounds like projection to me.

guyjones in reply to Socratease. | February 10, 2024 at 2:16 pm

Indeed; Hur was in an impossible position, for a Dhimmi-crat prosecutor. If he hadn’t let Biden off the hook via the “Mr. Magoo” rationale for non-prosecution (as lame and as unavailing as it is. legally and equitably), he would have had to prosecute Biden, given the facts of the case.

Hur basically pulled the same stunt that the vile Comey did, when he pre-emptively declared crone Clinton to be allegedly unprosecutable, because of his belief that “no reasonable prosecutor” would try the case. Except that Hur’s stunt has the patina of alleged legitimacy, given that he’s a federal prosecutor.

And, I agree that Hur making a completely baseless presumption about how a jury would or wouldn’t treat Biden, as a criminal defendant, is outrageously inappropriate.

As I noted earlier, my bet is that Hur may have thought Biden was “so far gone” that he could not participate in his own defense, which could have been a valid reason not to charge him. However, that was politically impossible to do, so he made up this other reason. Furthermore, I have long held the view that Biden has been impaired since his 2 brain aneurysm surgeries in 1988, one of which had burst. I would bet that, even if properly charged, he would have gotten off from one or more sympathetic jurors on reasonable doubt, for that reason.

        guyjones in reply to jb4. | February 10, 2024 at 4:16 pm

I agree that it’s unlikely that Biden would ever be convicted by a jury. That said, presuming how a jury would react to Biden as a criminal defendant, and, presupposing their reaction, is wildly inappropriate.

At the end of the day, everything that Hur contrived served as the manifestly thin gruel on which he based an objectively indefensible and contemptible decision to not charge the President with crimes which the factual record indicates he undoubtedly committed, simply because he is old, is in obvious cognitive and physical decline, and, is a Dhimmi-crat.

        ConradCA in reply to jb4. | February 11, 2024 at 12:09 am

When Quisling Joe was brought to trial would be the time to determine if he was mentally competent to stand trial no before he was charged.

CNN had Toobin on the other night trying to make parallels between Comey’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and Joe Biden’s classified documents scandal.

DaveGinOly in reply to Socratease. | February 10, 2024 at 7:17 pm

It’s odd, because Hur didn’t have to do what he’s done. If he had not breathed a word about Biden’s mental condition, he could have safely recommended prosecution because there’s not a chance in hell that Garland would do so. Did he let the cat out of the bag to protect Garland (from criticism for not following a “prosecute” recommendation)?

No, the report clearly states there isn’t a bases for prosecution. Both Democrats and Republican (including conservation judge Luttig) think the report was a bit of a hack job for stating irrelevant things. There simply wasn’t a basis for prosecution, which is highlighted in the report itself by making the comparison between Trumps case and Bidens.

I am considering that Hur poisoned pilled his statement so Biden comes out and says “I know when my son died. I know when I was Vice President.” And then they hit him with lying under oath during his deposition.

Ghostrider in reply to Xmas. | February 10, 2024 at 3:23 pm

Yes. According to Joe, “…I don’t need his recommendation and it’s none of his (Hur’s) damn business when my son died.”

Okay, Hur ought to revise his report and charge him.

Valerie in reply to Xmas. | February 10, 2024 at 4:54 pm

I’ve watched Kamala Harris in hearings and in public events. She is the last person to have anything worthwhile to say about a prosecutor’s decorum.

Putin: *delivers 2 hour history lesson from memory*

Biden: “Mexico must open the gates to Gaza.”

I would support trading Putin for Biden – but Russia would never agree to such a lopsided, one-way deal. Why? Because I have no doubts that Putin would secure, by force if necessary, the border of the country. If we don’t have borders, we don’t have a country.

Lucifer Morningstar | February 10, 2024 at 8:27 pm

democrats caught between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand they could admit that Biden is an elderly man suffering from major cognitive deficits which would spare him from being indicted or on the other hand they can make the claim that there’s nothing wrong with Biden’s cognitive ability which would then theoretically put him in jeopardy of being charged with possessing and mishandling classified documents. What will democrats do. What will they do.

Kamala can’t save Dotard Joe. lol

Once again “I’m with Hur”.

Kamala- Mr. Ed’s welfare- queen love child.

It’s always funny when the Democrat email goes out to use a particular word or phrase gratuitously and to use it in every other sentence gratuitously whether they know it’s gratuitous or not.
