Billionaire Ken Griffin Stops Donating to Harvard Due to Its DEI Agenda

“Until Harvard makes it very clear that they’re going to resume their role as [educators of] young American men and women to be leaders, to be problem solvers, to take on difficult issues, I am not interested in supporting the institution”

Citadel CEO Ken Griffin recently spoke at the MFA Network Miami conference and explained why he is no longer offering financial support to Harvard. The billionaire suggested that he will not be making any gifts until schools like Harvard abandon the DEI agenda.

Griffin also made reference to campus support for Hamas and mentioned ridiculous concepts like ‘microaggressions,’ calling the students ‘whiny snowflakes.’

CNN reports:

$500 million Harvard megadonor halts donations, says elite schools produce ‘whiny snowflakes’

Hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin, who has donated more than $500 million to Harvard University over the years, has halted contributions to his alma mater and claimed elite schools produce “whiny snowflakes.”

Griffin, one of the richest people in the world, joins a growing list of donors to Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia and other top schools who have decided to close their checkbooks.

At a conference in Miami on Tuesday, Griffin expressed deep frustration with the state of American universities, including the disastrous testimony before Congress by the presidents of Harvard, MIT and UPenn…

“Until Harvard makes it very clear that they’re going to resume their role as [educators of] young American men and women to be leaders, to be problem solvers, to take on difficult issues, I am not interested in supporting the institution,” Griffin told CNBC’s Leslie Picker during the MFA Network Miami conference…

“Will America’s elite universities get back to the roots of educating American children — young adults — to be the future leaders of our country or are they going to maintain being lost in the wilderness of microaggressions and a DEI agenda that has no real endgame,” Griffin said.

Griffin suggested that students at elite schools are “just caught up in the rhetoric of oppressor and oppressee and… just like whiny snowflakes.”

Like, um really, these dudes had no idea what’s been going on for decades?

DEI/CRT is such a fraud. Huge legal liability.

I’m so old I remember when 300 million was enough to finance a presidential campaign.

Real money.

I am amazed that the inmates seem to run these institutions. When I went to undergrad, the school ran things and sometimes listened to suggestions, Nowadays, the schools bend over backwards to any wim of the inmates.

De-fund Harvard and the other DEI-loving institutions!

With their billions of investments, Harvard does not need Griffin’s money.

One of the benefits of controlling the federal government would be the power to defund all institutions that discriminate on the basis of race of religion AKA DEI/CRT. No student loans, no research grants etc. Let Harvard, etc fund their racist ideology!

I forgot, we should pull their nonprofit status so they have to pay taxes on their earnings which will include “donations”. Furthermore, donations will not be tax deductible.

We should label any institution that discriminates on the basis of race or religion a racist institution.

Billionaire Ken Griffin, who gave Harvard $300 million last year:

Just last year he was still giving that marxist sh*thole money??

Hah-vahd has been anti-American for DECADES! The school should have had all federal funds yanked from them back when the LawnCare school kicked the military recruiters out of the job fairs but they were saved by a bunch of retarded, America-hating federal judges, who should have been impeached and deported to Cuba.

Ken Griffin is a wuss. Having lots of money just amplifies that fact. Why would he donate big money to a hard-leftist institution that ALREADY has more money than God?

The next step is for Griffin and like minded donors to automatically toss any resumes/c.v. received from applicants that have Harvard or the name of any other Ivy League school on them.

I suppose if he really wanted to fund education, he would find a way. Maybe help fund some elementary startup schools, college scholarships for any school, trade school scholarships. What’s the point of pouring money where it’s really not needed? IDK…

This is all BS. If Griffin wants to put his money to good use, the beneficiaries of DEI start 1st grade with a vocabulary 50% smaller than non-DEI kids. Put some money into (non-politician run) early education, address the issue of the disappearance of 2 parent families! If you want to win the future back you need to start early. Privately.

stop communism yesterday

If he’s so fed up with Harvard, why doesn’t he write a hefty check to Hillsdale?

Well now Kenny boy, how about donating a bit of that money to some smaller colleges………say Hillsdale College and the like?
They don’t whine, they just do and get it done.

He could donate to the University of Austin. The new college started by Bari Weiss among others.
