Hunter Biden Shows Up to Contempt Hearing, Stays 30 Minutes, Then Flees

Hunter knew his appearance would incite chaos. It did. He baited the Republicans and they bit.

I like Professor Jacobson. I like my job. I bite my tongue a lot, especially regarding Hunter Biden.

I just wrote how I genuinely feel about Hunter and the vibes he gives off.

Hunter shows up to his contempt of Congress hearing and then leaves. The Oversight Committee is considering a resolution to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena.

The GOP wants Hunter to testify behind closed doors. Hunter said he would only testify in public.

Everything about him…I just cannot even. Hunter knew showing up would cause chaos and the cameras would be on him.

He baited the Republicans and they bit.

The guy loves to flaunt the fact that he is untouchable. It makes me sick.

Is it cowardice if you know no one can do anything against you?

More like Hubris IMO b/c none of us knows what the future may hold. For example should DJT win in ’24 and sweep in a GoP HoR and Senate majority then among the other expectations of minimum performance I would want to see an additional subpoena to Hunter Biden and if he refuses vote him in contempt and send to the DoJ now staffed by Trump to bring the criminal case. Anything less IMO is dereliction on the part of everyone in power who doesn’t use every ounce of political power to get it done. No ‘moving on’ or ‘putting it behind us’ or ‘he suffered enough’. No more excuses.

We’re WAY past ‘moving on’ or ‘putting it behind us’

      WAAAYYYYY past

Should that miraculously happen we will hear the words “reconciliation” uttered. Too many people have been injured, even killed and lives , hopes and dreams shattered starting with the Summer of Floyd of George and continuing.

That’s the sort of inside DC ‘go along, get along’, don’t hold anyone accountable crap which may very well occur. The last time we had GoP majorities and a Trump WH they certainly didn’t push for HRC or others like Lois Lerner and Eric Holder to face real consequences.

I think the point is that when you know you’re untouchable, appearing in “defiance” of authority is just an act. It’s certainly not bravery, it’s merely bravado (which is defined as “an appearance of courage or confidence that someone shows in order to impress other people”).

“Is it cowardice if you know no one can do anything against you?”

    It’s worse.

It’s the nasty kid picking on other kids with his nasty dad standing behind him just waiting for someone to even try to hit the little creep back..

There are a lot of takeaways from this stunt. But, the most important one is this is not the behavior of a party that has any fear of losing in November. They know they’re going to take back the House and keep the Senate and White House. If they thought Hunter Biden’s behavior had ANY adverse impact on their election chances, they’d keep him hidden in a missile silo in the Dakotas. But, there he is, attending WH events, LIVING in the WHY, flying on Air Force 1 and showing his ass to the Republican House majority as the media gets a belly laugh from it all.

The know the same system that manufactured 81-million votes for Biden can manufacturer whatever they need to beat Trump again.

    I fear you are correct.

So you think Hunter is paying attention to the best interests of the party rather than acting out like the worthless little weasel he is? I don’t buy that.

TargaGTS in reply to irv. | January 10, 2024 at 1:19 pm

The guy sitting to Hunter’s left isn’t some country bumpkin lawyer. It’s Abby Lowell, arguably the most connected DNC criminal lawyer in practice today. He’s represented everyone in Democrat politics from Bill & Hillary Clinton to Menendez…and now a sitting Democrat president’s son. He’s a company man, all the way. If Lowell thought today’s stunt would hurt Democrats, he wouldn’t have allowed it.

I agree with you. Today’s stunt was meant to embarrass and make fools out of the Republicans. What is Comer going to do in response? Go on Laura Ingraham’s and Sean Hannity’s shows tonight all huffed up and repeat the same political messages about Joe, Hunter, and the Biden family being a crime syndicate. Pro-tip: Jim, didn’t Hunter enter a restricted area today? Make your move and have the vote to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress.

This country is no longer our own. This “Democracy” doesn’t include us. And he knows it.

They will manufacture 100 million votes this time. They’ve even got the warm bodies to do it: freshly imported and ready to bring chaos and destruction to anyone who opposes them – us.

They will NEVER let Trump back in. Even if he gets Nixon-level popular vote totals and 49 states. They will fabricate on the spot. They will harass and intimidate if they have to. Even if it means converting him into Swiss cheese, in full view of the public. They want us to know it. They want us to see it.

We better be aware our votes count for nothing in their “Democracy.” We are not welcome into it. We don’t belong in it. And we are going to be expelled and even destroyed in the name of “fortifying” it.

If his last name was Hussein, his first name would be Uday.

He has immunity in the eyes of the Leftists, as long as Sundowner is useful anyway.

The good news is Hunter didn’t leap over the bench and start punching MTG like the guy recently did in Las Vegas.

What, if anything, can the Oversight Committee do to Abbey Lowell?

Nancy Mace has got it wrong. The Republicans have no balls.

Hunter is a heartbeat away from going to prison. And it’s the heartbeat of an 81 year old man.

theduchessofkitty in reply to Stuytown. | January 10, 2024 at 3:03 pm

No. He will never go to prison. He will escape the country before it happens. He has lots of places to hide.

We are all suckers if we think there’s a chance of that happening.

Is hunter on ketamine therapy for suicidal ideation?

He didn’t ‘flee’.

He showed up to laugh in their faces about how feckless and cowardly they were and how little he cared about their precious ‘hearing’, and then went off to launder more money for The Big Guy.

He has ZERO FEAR of them or their sound bytes.

Was he wearing pants?

Don’t you dare hold hold Forrest Hump’s son accountable for his illicit, corrupt, degenerate actions. Why, he’s so much more important than the rest of us peons.

The last election was in 2016.

And only because they miscalculated.

The previous election was in 2004. And again, that was due to miscalculation.

The mask hangs in tatters now. They flaunt their control with impunity.

In 2024, the war will go hot.

There will be blood.

The left counts on the right playing by the rules. They win because the right behaves as if there is still justice, as if there is still law.

In 2024 the only rule must be survival.

Is it good legal strategy to demonstrate exactly what you’re charged with right in the court room in front of god and everybody?

Asking for a guy who jumped the judge at his assault sentencing.

The First Vacuum’s shenanigans are just a flex: “I’m a Biden, you can’t touch me.”

That or this committee’s dias isn’t high enough. Need a bigger jumbotron to be taken seriously, just like Speaker For Life’s hand-picked star chamber. It certainly wasn’t their balance, brains, or evidence.
