Biden Finally Visiting East Palestine, OH, a Year After Devastating Train Derailment

East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway: “My personal opinion the best time for him to come would be February of 2025 when he is on his book tour.”

President Joe Biden will finally visit East Palestine, OH.

A train derailment on February 3, 2023, devastated the town, spilling numerous toxic chemicals.

People in and around the town had to evacuate. Many have never returned.

A year. It took Biden a year:

Fox News reached out to East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway to find out when he thought the most helpful time would be, and he told Fox News, in “my personal opinion the best time for him to come would be February of 2025 when he is on his book tour.”

Conaway additionally told Fox, “The President is always welcome to our town,” adding, “that being said, I don’t know what he would do here now.”

In September, Biden said it would “be a while” before he visited East Palestine because of his busy schedule.

Between February and September 2023, Biden went on numerous vacations, visited Ukraine, toured Florida after Hurricane Idalia, and even went to Hawaii after the horrible wildfires.

East Palestine, OH, is 4 hours and 44 minutes away from the White House.

Former President Donald Trump stopped in East Palestine, bringing pallets of food, water, and cleaning supplies.

Officials are still cleaning up the area.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost sued Norfolk Southern, describing the derailment as avoidable.

People around the town have experienced medical problems since the derailment. CDC team members investigating the spill also fell ill.

The mayor had classy response to a classless buffoon.

He thinks he’s visiting Gaza.

Of course! If it’s an anniversary there’s gonna be cake and ice cream, right?

It was absolutely insane for him not to go in the aftermath. He could have sent the EPA guy and Pete then followed up say 45 days later. That allows them to frame it as kindly old Joe checking up on the job his subordinates did in providing relief and caring for the community.

Instead he waits a flipping year? Waits until his re election campaign has begun? This is dumb. He’s better off not going at all than showing up a year late….unless he is gonna find and seize upon things that were not done and fire the EPA Administrator and the Transportation Sec and their entire chain of command that had a role in the failure. Which he ain’t gonna do, so why bother going? While his legacy media allies will mostly try and spin it a a positive for most people it will It just reminds folks he didn’t care enough to show up in person when it may have mattered.

    “I like ice-cream. Chocolate chip.”

Wait. When you say Biden, which one are we talking about? 10% China Slow Joe or Jill?

President Biden to visit East Palestine toxic train wreck site on the one-year anniversary of the incident

… I guess they finished filling out the “paperwork”

[Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders’ parent] Oneida mentioned that the family expects a call from President Biden, and they have already been in contact with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and various lawmakers. She said they have to complete paperwork before they can speak to the president.

    I saw that.

I guarantee that the ‘paperwork’ includes a NDA with stiff penalties if they say anything that isn’t slavishly glowing about how awesome and compassionate the drooling diaper soiler acted.

While it’s nice to try to embarrass Biden on this sort of issue, hopefully showing voters that he is not the caring and compassionate leader he makes himself out to be, the fact is he is never helpful anywhere, and a Biden visit to a disaster area is needed like a hole in the head.

I wonder if he’ll go to East Palestine like Kamala went to the border and he went to Valley Forge. He may (or may not) go to an area 20 miles or more away from East Palestine. And the media will follow up touting his brave travel to East Palestine.

The Party is covering over a potential election issue.

The script kiddies might have fun with this one: “He comes for the cake and ice cream a year later.”

I hope he breathes deeply while he is there!

Truly a monster.

Wrong color and wrong voters. Brandon wants nothing to do with them

I thought Pete Buttereggs already had the place covered while he had his high-vis vest, hardhat, safety glasses, skinny jeans, and workboots for the photo-op? 😉

The only people at an accident site that don’t have mud on their boots and blood on their shirts are the “investigators.”

Too late. I already took my train derailment decorations down and put up mty bank failure decorations… 🙂

This is arrogant and elitist.

And worse, it’s BAD POLITICS.

Even an idiot could understand that nothing could be gained politically by going there at this point. All it does is remind everybody and highlight the fact that you’ve ignored them for so long to a bunch of people that didn’t know about it.

And what’s the absolute most generous upside here? He gets a dumb photo op that won’t influence any voters and will be gone immediately?

This is just bad politics.

his speech:

I am here to show support for the poor Palestinians who have been “Genoicided” by the je I mean the Israelis

( winks over to omar and crew)

Here is how his visit will go: Joe decides to drive to East Palestine in an audacious display of his “Ole Uncle Joe Dude” persona. Jill sees a report of an elderly gent on the interstate going the wrong way and she phones Joe to warn him. Joe gets irate when he recieves the call and says “One? That is a bunch of malarky…there are THOUSANDS going the wrong way!”

Wouldn’t his Chief of Staff be in charge of this? Gross incompetence on that person’s part.

In this administration, competence is never higher than the fourth line from the top of the HR rating form.

Who would want his incompetent ass in their town in the first place? I surely wouldn’t, especially after a tragic disaster. Just do them all a favor, and stay away.
