Anti-Israel Protesters Blocking Three NYC Bridges and Holland Tunel

Police have arrested people.

The morons decided to start their nonsense on Monday morning when everyone is in such a great mood.

Yes, let’s block three New York City bridges and the Holland Tunnel.

Police have arrested people.

“Port Authority police are replacing handcuffs on all the protesters after complaints that they are too tight.”

Placing zip ties around the protestors’ necks would cut down on the complaints, if they’re pulled tightly enough.

That’s common, if you watch Georgia and Arkansas police chases. The police turn decidedly more friendly once the perp is under control.

I have yet to see a zip tie on a NECK in any of the chase videos on Natural State Transparency or State Boyzzzz.

Perhaps not but given the choice I’d go with hitting 140+ mph and then PITing them into oblivion. If they can’t use a billy club to encourage proper behavior then I’m fine with unleashing massive horsepower to get the job done.

BTW, Trooper Byrd would scare the (bleep) out of Dale Earnhardt.

Maybe they should bring them some coffee. Hold the bagel and lox.

Police are arresting people. OK, now what?

As I’ve said before, the catch and release policies of liberal cities like New York means that these types of acts go essentially unpunished, which means they’re not going to stop.

Eventually everyday New Yorkers just trying to live their lives are going to get fed up and take matters into their own hands. That will be ugly.

NYC could save more money for migrants if they nipped this in the bud.

Exactly. Leftists have always viewed being arrested as a badge of honor. It fulfils their LARPing fantasy of being brave martyrs for the cause without forcing them to suffer any consequences. Being charged, though? Prosecuted and jailed? That’s a different matter. If the authorities want to break these protests (and clearly they don’t) then they have to put these ‘protesters’ in jail for lengthy sentences.

Bridges was a mistake. They could have done tunnels, relating them to Hamas tunnels. If Hamas can’t have theirs, neither can you have yours.

Attached to cement tires protesting on a bridge….sounds like they are all ready for deployment right over the edge

There can be NO BUSINESS AS USUAL until PALESTINE IS FREE!
Well, it was free – of occupation, under their own leadership – and they used that freedom to commit the Oct 7 atrocities. So, no more freedom for them – unless they want to wander the world, getting kicked out of all the crappy countries in the world. The left tells us that’s freedom, so move along.

Of course, that was from the socialists, and they love destroying the meaning of words, so…

And, I’ll ask again: why are you blocking OUR bridges and tunnels? Why not go to Gaza and block the Israelis? Or, better, convince Hamas to surrender? Block their tunnels?

“unless they want to wander the world, getting kicked out of all the crappy countries in the world. The left tells us that’s freedom, so move along.”
True nuff. How can you complain about the “plight of homeless Palestinians” when you celebrate and accommodate the “lifestyle choices” of homeless Americans?

I haven’t seen any of this in the Hampton Roads area yet. We’ve got lots of bridges and tunnels. But this area is also full of military and veterans, and while they don’t all vote Republican, they are very much the sort to not allow that sort of thing to go on very long.

Which is a shame they haven’t tried, in a way, because they could block truck and rail traffic out of a prime east coast port and really disrupt the nation. Well, it’s a shame they haven’t tried because I would gladly help remove them. And the James River is deep enough for warships….

Just drove the I-664 tunnel and bridge. Sadly, that part of the river is a bit shallow. The protesters should be left in the Roads; now that is plenty deep.

I don’t have any advice for getting rid of the bridge people, but the others are easy: push them back into the tunnel, then flood it. They wanna “represent,” make them “represent.”

This will not end until you go after the people funding these incidents. It’s clearly nationally coordinated. Turn off the money and the problem will start to solve itself.

I have seen videos from Europe where the same tactic of blocking roadways by environmental protestors was resolved by people who were blocked got fed up, out of their cars, and dragged the protestors out of the way. Perhaps more regular folks should take matters in their own hands, rather than waiting to be rescued by law enforcement.

We need Americans to all start emulating the “fierce” blond German woman.

I won’t do this with my good car, but my work truck is already dented and a little battered. I won’t stop for a protestor in the roadway when I’m in my pickup. Slowly driving through him/her/it/them at 5 mph won’t do any more damage to my work truck.

Slime cannon followed by water cannon.

One cheer for NYC, for at least making arrests. A big improvement over Seattle’s non-response. I’ll give another cheer if the protesters are actually prosecuted and a third if they get significant jail time.

I trust they are making few friends and that, for the most part, their part of “influencing people” is to hate them.

I remember when I had to go through the Lincoln Tunnel 2x per day. Never been through the Holland Tunnel. Every once in a while, a car broken down in the Lincoln Tunnel and you might have to spend 30 minutes or more getting through it.

Relevant questions asked:

How far down am I?

Is it going to spring a leak?

How many tends of feet of dirt, and water, are above me?

How do I kill the guy who broke down?

Steven Brizel | January 8, 2024 at 3:06 pm

They should be all arested, and where appropriate, serve some time in Rikers and if possible deported

The answer is simple, get big trucks and start driving through all this crap. Just run them over and I’ll figure it out.

New York has been firing into gaza? Why protest to New Yorkers when they haven’t been doing anything?

“NYPD said, in lieu of summons, many of the demonstrators will face misdemeanor charges with a desk appearance ticket.”

OMG! Where is the UN to protest this blatant brutality?

“To settle an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit brought against the NYPD over its 2020 enforcement actions, mild as they were, the Adams-era NYPD recently said that it won’t “kettle” marchers—that is, hindering their movement with metal gates to prevent them from moving, say, from a sidewalk to a street, or from a street to a major intersection.

“And to avoid the excessive-force charges that dogged them in 2020, police now refuse to stop people from blocking roadways, entrance ramps, and major transit centers, instead arresting them only after they’ve blocked a target, have finished with their planned action, and surrender themselves.”

Amazing unforced error. Apparently these terrorists don’t understand New York people at all. Every time they block a highway they may anger perhaps thousands of people going about their business or trying to. Inevitably some among them will react by turning pro-Israel and/or will stop voting for Democrats who do little to stop these behaviors and turn to Republicans. The irritated Jewish vote could tip NYS into the Republican column.. The more people who get blocked, the more will turn against those who block them.

I have been to New York City and even driven a school bus there one summer in college. If the protestors had brains, they would block exit instead.

Of course, they don’t try this in Florida because the Legislature passed a law that said if someone was on a highway trying to hold you hostage, you don’t have to stop. In addition, you have no duty to stop and render first aid in such a situation.

When you tolerate bad behavior, you get more of it and no sympathy from those who do not tolerate it!
