Israel Expands Ground Offensive in Southern Gaza Amid Growing Iranian Terror Threats

“IDF ground, air, and naval troops are continuing to strike terror targets in the Gaza Strip, including terrorist cells and military sites and infrastructure used by terrorist organizations.”

A day after Israel allegedly eliminated a top Iranian terror operative in neighboring Syria, the Israeli military is expanding the ground offensive in southern Gaza. While fighting still rages around some jihadist strongholds in the north, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has widened the operation in the south of Gaza, where Hamas’s terrorist leadership, including its chief Yahya Sinwar, are believed to be hiding.

The military is reportedly carrying out shaping operations ahead of a ground offensive in the south. “The Israeli Air Force struck more than 100 Hamas targets in the southern Gaza Strip overnight, in preparation for expanded ground operations in the area, the military says, even as the army continues to face resistance amid mop-up operations in the north of the Strip,” The Times of Israel reported Tuesday. “According to the IDF, the targets included tunnel shafts, military sites, and other infrastructure used by terror operatives to target Israeli forces.”

The Israeli armed forces are hitting Hamas terror targets from all sides, the IDF press release on Tuesday reveals:

IDF ground, air, and naval troops are continuing to strike terror targets in the Gaza Strip, including terrorist cells and military sites and infrastructure used by terrorist organizations.

As part of assistance to the ground troops, dozens of IDF fighter jets struck over 100 Hamas terror targets, including tunnel shafts, infrastructure, and military sites used by the terrorist organization to attack IDF troops. (…)

Over the past day, an IDF aircraft within a number of minutes struck and killed more than ten terrorists operating in the Khan Yunis adjacent to the troops. Furthermore, in Khan Yunis, IDF troops identified a Hamas cell advancing toward a military compound belonging to the terrorist organization, where numerous weapons were stored. The troops directed an IDF aircraft that struck the military compound and killed the Hamas terrorist cell.

Furthermore, during searches in an Islamic Jihad military compound in Daraj Tuffah, IDF troops located guns, explosive devices, and ammunition, along with intelligence documents and military equipment used by the terrorist organization.

Hezbollah escalates attacks after Iranian terror threats

Amid Iranian threats to avenge the killing of Reza Mousavi, a senior commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), the Lebanon-based pro-Iranian Hezbollah terrorist group stepped up cross border rocket fire into Israel.

Hezbollah fired anti-tank missiles into northern Israel, hitting an Orthodox Church and injuring several IDF soldiers. The Shia-Islamic terrorist group positioned its rocket launcher inside a mosque in southern Lebanon, Israeli military sources say.

The Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that a Hezbollah anti-tank missile struck St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church in Iqrit, northern Israel. (…)

A civilian near the Christian village of Iqrit suffered serious injuries in the missile strike. IDF forces and first responders are on the scene, providing assistance to the victim.

However, reportedly the situation escalated when, upon the arrival of troops, another anti-tank missile was launched, leading to an intense firefight. 9 IDF troops have transferred to a hospital after evacuating the civilian from the scene. One of the soldiers was seriously injured and eight soldiers were moderately and lightly injured.

The terrorist escalation on the Israeli northern border comes amid threats made by the Iranian regime, Iran’s Islamic Guard (IRGC), and proxy terrorist group Hezbollah following Mousavi’s killing in an alleged Israeli strike.

The slain Iranian terror operative was coordinating terrorist activities and arms supplies to Hezbollah, which has stepped up attacks on Israel’s northern border since Hamas carried out the October 7 massacre, Israeli media sources confirm.

Mousavi was also a close associate of Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in a 2020 U.S. drone strike under President Trump’s watch.

The Israeli news website Ynet reported renewed Iranian terror threats against Israel:

Iran’s foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, threatened Israel hours after the assassination of Sayyed Reza Mousavi, a senior commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps based in Syria. “Tel Aviv should count down,” he warned.

Hezbollah also reacted to Reza Mousavi’s assassination calling it a “blatant attack that crosses the line.” Hezbollah called Mousavi “one of the best brothers who worked to support Hezbollah in Lebanon for decades.” The terrorist organization also said in a statement that he “was dedicated to serving the resistance and its fighters and is a brother in arms. We send our condolences to Ali Khamenei, to the leadership of the Revolutionary Guards in Iran, to his family and to the Iranian people.” (…)

Reza Mousavi was one of the “senior advisers” to the IRGC in Syria and used to accompany the commander of the Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani, whwas assassinated in January 20, as well as his successors.

The Revolutionary Guards confirmed his death, and threatened that “Israel will pay the price for the crime of assassinating one of our veteran military advisers in Syria.” Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi echoed this, adding that Mousavi’s assassination is “another sign of Israel’s frustration.”

Hamas: I want to surprise attack.
Also Hamas: I want to declare ceasefire when I’m losing.

It’s so funny—Biden attempting to control Israel, jerking them around on a string as if he’s puppeteer and Israel’s his puppet—when in reality, he himself is a puppet being jerked around on string by others.

I think Israel has always known Joe is a figure head and what ever threat he uttered was always going to happen regardless of what was happening on the ground.

So the Jews just ignored him and carried on with their operations.

After Joebama world was very quick & noisy to condemn Trump when he order the US military to kill Qassem Suleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds force, back in 2020, Joebama world is eerily silent about Israel’s assassination of Reza Mousavi, a senior commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

Iran is making threats again, isn’t it time to destroy their largest hydroelectric dam? Every threat, every dirty deed, shiuld be met with infrastructure destruction.

They already have a nuclear bomb

I thought Israel would have put an end to that a long time ago

The Shia-Islamic terrorist group positioned its rocket launcher inside a mosque in southern Lebanon, Israeli military sources say.

Well then Hezbollah has declared that the mosque is fair game and the IDF should target it and bomb it into oblivion.

The U.S., and particularly Obama, prevented Israel from taking out Iran’s nuclear capacity when it could have been successful. That would have been the most ideal proxy war for the U.S. But there are blinders in seeing that the West is the real target of its nukes. Unlike Pakistan, Iran won’t limit its nuclear capacity to MAD.

I propose glitter bombs. Hear me out.

The Organized Goblins position their stuff in, around, and under targets you won’t hit, creating the dilemma:

    — Hit them and innocent people die, while The Goblins get the propaganda win.

    — Don’t hit them and while innocent people don’t get killed by your weapons, The Goblins get to keep killing you and yours from there, plus the propaganda win that they can hit you with impunity.

It requires a third option: to hit them without the collateral damage. Glittter bombs.

    — Give your rank and file the rallying message: we are this just, this restrained, this measured, and this precise and powerful.

    — Give the Gobliins the message: you live at our sufference, and you are marked. Any questions?

Hit them with precision-guided glitter bombs. Morale, and propaganda, and nobody dies. The press-conference response writes itself:

“Yes, thank you for that question.

We’re terribly sorry to have tagged Mosque El Missile with gluey glitter. We realize the congregation there is inconvenienced, but glitter vacuums up, holy sites can be reconcecrated, and nobody innocent died. Opinions vary on whether no Goblins killed is a good thing or bad.

We responded to missile crews firing from the Mosque, who all now look like Liberace. How sure are we? You tell us — how many guys you seeing in glittery uniforms?

We are likewise sorry for any discomfort or scorn they receive for getting tagged. We suspect not a good look for dedicated martyrs — BTW Liberace, you know, the guy they’re dressed like now, was gay — and the glue on that glitter is made from pig parts. (Don’t get any on you — oh, wait. Scrub good.)

Is there a message for The Goblins? Indeed. Thank you again for asking.

We see you. We know right were you are. We could hit you — we did. We could have killed you — we didn’t. Killing you right then wasn’t worth destroying your hiding place, or harming peaceful people there. The worst you could do wasn’t worth taking you out. Live with that.

Do wash thoroughly before you leave. We’ll consider anybody still in sparkley uniform a legitimate target, and outside the Mosque, well, we’re willing to use weapons that don’t scrub off.

We might have also tagged you in less obvious ways, but … you’ll never know.”

Glitter bombs? Glitter Bombs?!?? Nope. You take out the mosque and then tell the arab terrorists that if they do not want their places of worship bombed and destroyed then it would be a good idea for them to not use them as staging areas for missiles and other terrorist operations. Their choice. And if Hamas and other arab terrorists decide to continue using mosques, schools, and hospitals as bases for terrorist operations then the consequences are on them.

This is a fun idea, but it only works with civilized people, who will stop fighting after the hostilities cease.

Hamas is dedicated to killing every last Jew on the planet, and all the rest of us, incidentally. It says so in their founding document, the Hamas Covenant. They completely reject any form of peace, and any authority by any person or entity to negotiate peace.

It’s hard for Americans to wrap their heads around the concept of eternal war, but eternal war is Hamas’ purpose (along with all the rest of the Muslim Brotherhood). War crimes are their policy, and they aren’t picky about who they kill. That is why other Muslim countries refuse to take any Palestinian refugees.

Oh, I’m only kinda serious. Or maybe kinda kidding. The best thing Israel has done with this round is the clarity and messaging.

        — It’s a war. With Hamas. That Hamas started (up again, during a cease fire.)

        — We’re intent on winning, in a way we can live with. BUT, we’re still intent on winning.

        — What was that? Blah, blah, blah, aluminum? Sorry, wasn’t listening, n don’t care. Doing a war, here, we’re gonna win.

My modest Glitter Bomb proposal is a thought experiment interesting because of messaging for different groups. Israel is unified and serious in a way I haven’t seen. You knew the captive UN was gonna proclaim various BS. BUT, various Muslim or Arab countries have taken public position different from “Death to Israel.”

Of course, The Goblins’ brain trust is generating noise in the US, threatening to fragment Brandon & company’s shaky coalition before the election. Good thinking. Their coalition fragmenting is the only thing The Screaming D’s respond to. After this, Brandon can’t “forgive” enough college loans to keep the kids on the team. The Cabal will have to make somebody back off, and that’s Israel.

(And every pro=Hamas college kid “protester” should never be offered a job by anybody, ever. Not because they’re heinous. BUT, because the second word in “useful idiots” is “idiots.”)
