Arsonist Sets Fire to Outside Area of NYC Jewish-Japanese Restaurant

The police confirmed that the “NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating this as an anti-Jewish incident.”

The NYPD is investigating a fire outside og a Jewish-Japanese fusion restaurant in New York City.

Video caught the arsonist in action on November 18:

The incident occurred on Nov. 18 shortly after 4 am in front of the Shalom Japan restaurant on South 4th Street, according to police Friday.

Surveillance video shows a man walking up to the eatery and torching two outside window tarps that cops said featured images of the Jewish Star of David.

In the footage, the bearded and bespectacled arsonist is seen casually walking back and forth as smoke begins to spread.

The firebug then took off on foot toward Rodney Street and South 5th Street, according to the police.

The police confirmed that the “NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating this as an anti-Jewish incident.”

Thankfully no was hurt and the fire did not damage the building.

The fusion restaurant offers food such as Matzoh Ball Ramen and Sake Kasu Challah.

It sounds delicious!

The only skill set this group has is either murdering or burning. Sometimes both at the same time.

A good dog cage submerged in a swimming pool would be good punishment. Except that’s their stock in trade.

strange how the news which immediately screeches the race of white on black crime is very silent when a minority of any type is the perp

No doubt this was a peaceful Muslim.

Infrared imaging sure lightens up his skin color.

Perhaps this dope is styling himself after the infamous “Talcum X.”

Homeboy is no doubt proud of himself, thinking that his Islamofascist antics have struck a blow for “social justice.” In reality, he’s just another dim-witted fool whose mind has been warped by the ideological and intellectual shackles of Dhimmi-crats’ corrosive victimhood/grievance ideology.

That matzoh ball ramen looks pretty tasty to me! I’m glad that the wifey is coming home next week; I’m tired of eating my own (poor excuse for) cooking. She makes a killer tonkatsu ramen.

Oh, almost forgot … bad arsonist. Bad, bad arsonist!

Decades ago, I lived out in The Avenues in San Francisco. Not far from my apartment was a place where, if you dialed K O S H E R O on the telephone, your call was answered by a place that made kosher pizzas.

I have not read or heard any news stories about an Asian reverend protesting this obvious cultural appropriation,

Democrats do love their rioters.

A Dhimmi-crat Jew-hater “of color” — there’s no shortage of them, sadly. These idiots have been ginned up over decades by the vile Dhimmi-crats’ dishonest anti-Israel venom and contrived/fallacious Muslim victimhood narratives.

So much to unpack here.

First off, the headline put me in mind of one of Dick Cavett’s jokes: “I have lunch every day at this German Chinese restaurant down the block. The food there is delicious, but an hour later, you’re hungry for power!” Clearly, this headline is pure UXJ (unexploded joke). Waiting for it…

“the bearded and bespectacled arsonist is seen casually walking back and forth as smoke begins to spread.”
Bearded? Bespectacled? You mean, just like the stereotypical WWI-era “anarchist”? Known for lobbing… well, just check out my avatar? Wow, everything old is new again!

That’s a funny one I’ve not heard before. Unfortunately I think the majority of people under 50 will just look at you with a “I don’t get it” look.

It’s from the early 70’s before the U.S. had relations w/Red China. In a breakthrough event the Chinese ping pong team toured the U.S. A team member made the remark in reference to American food when a reporter asked him what he thought about the U.S.

I thought bearded and bespectacled would equate – in this case – to a Yeshiva student?

That might have made some sense, perhaps as a protest against a non-kosher restaurant appearing to be Jewish and possibly luring Jews into eating there. Except for one tiny problem: November 18 was a Saturday. So, no, whoever the arsonist was, he wasn’t an observant Jew.

If Jews in NY are to blame for Israel’s actions then all Muslims are guilty of 9-11

Have you noticed how the UN, the MSM, and an alarming majority of US and foreign politicians are demanding that the war in Gaza end immediately, yet they insist that the war in Ukraine continue?

How are we not to deduce that it’s always been nothing more than a money laundering operation?

It does sound delicious, but it’s very not kosher, so I won’t be trying it. There are several kosher Japanese restaurants in Brooklyn, but that’s not one of them. For instance, I’ve heard good things about this place, though I’ve not tried it.
