Virginia: Tuesday’s Election A Big F’ing Deal As Democrats Fear-Monger Abortion, Gun Rights, and MAGA, Oh My!

Democrat candidates include a convicted felon, a Satanist, a sex-worker, and proud public urinaters. Have you ever?!

Joe “I am the Democratic Party” Biden infamously embarrassed then-president Barack Obama by stage whispering that the passage of ObamaCare was a “big f*ing deal.”

Tuesday’s commonwealth-wide elections in Virginia could also turn out to be a big deal given the stakes for both sides. Continuing to enjoy some degree of freedom in Virginia is at stake for Virginians who are enjoying the fruits of a successful Republican governor’s term, while Democrats are clinging to the hope that their fear-mongering over abortion, guns, and the ever-scary “MAGA extremists” will deliver them the wins they need to remain in power in the state senate and to retake the currently narrowly GOP-controlled legislature.

ABC News reports:

In a closing message to voters in this year’s closely watched Virginia legislative elections, Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin ticks off accomplishments from the first half of his term.

Tax cuts, law enforcement pay raises and more money for mental health services, Youngkin says in the political ad, adding that there’s so much more he wants to get done over his next two years in office.

“Elect a Republican team to back me up and I promise, we’ll deliver,” Youngkin says.

Unlike federal Republicans, state Republicans are not content to let the Democrats win and then hold them up as “obstructionists” to save political face while going along to get along in the DC establishment composed of both parties. So there is a lot at stake not just for Virginians but for Youngkin, himself, who undoubtedly not only wants to deliver for his state (er, commonwealth) but also must have future political aspirations of his own.

Some of the Democrat candidates are completely cringey (remember the sex worker who thought she might like to pee on video for paying customers? Yikes!).

The Daily Wire reports:

Political control of Virginia’s House of Delegates is up for grabs this Tuesday in Virginia, and if the now narrowly Republican-led body reverts to Democrat control, it will likely be led by a felon who spent seven years in prison.

Since the Democrats last controlled the chamber two years ago, moderate Democrats like former House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn have been pushed out and replaced with insurgents like Don Scott, who was apprehended by federal agents in a Denny’s restaurant in 1994 after running into the bathroom and attempting to flush thousands of dollars in drug money. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and served seven and a half.

. . . . The Senate’s top Democrat is Louise Lucas, who was charged with two felonies in 2020 after taking part in a Black Lives Matter demonstration where a Confederate statue was pulled down and fell on a man. Lucas hired Scott as her lawyer, and the charges were dismissed.

Lucas and Scott are both black Democrats from Portsmouth, where Lucas runs a marijuana store. “I’m a 78 year [old] grandma who legalized pot and now has her own cannibis (sic) store,” she wrote on social media. “And I’m the last thing standing between The GOP and total control of Virginia.”

. . . . Among the other Democrats who threaten to make a Democrat-controlled legislature in 2024 very different from the one in 2020 is one who worked to bring Satan into public schools, even after a Satanist killed seven people in his town, and says that Christians are illogical. He is endorsed by Lucas.

Yet another candidate, Stella Pekarsky, appeared to use her current position as school board member to improperly retaliate against her Republican election opponent, who works for that system as a teacher.

What a debased and disgusting crew. I have no words.

Yet Democrats look like they may actually pull off some of the Virginia races. The Hill lists five districts to watch, and in a separate article note how Virginia Democrats are relying on fear-mongering and lies (the Hill didn’t use this language, of course) to win control of both state Houses.

Democrats in and out of the state have poured money into the off-year elections, focusing particularly on the issue of abortion access. Republicans, on the other hand, have zeroed in on crime and the economy as key issues.

. . . . Democrats have made abortion access their top issue going into Tuesday’s election. In 2021, Democrats led by former Gov. Terry McAuliffe failed to sway a majority of voters on the issue. But two years later, Democrats point to the urgency surrounding the issue in a post-Roe v. Wade country.

Youngkin, who has been a constant presence on the campaign trail, has voiced his support for a 15-week ban on most abortions with exceptions. Democrats, in turn, have tied down-ballot Republicans to the proposed restrictions.

“Without a doubt, that is front and center,” said Susan Swecker, chairwoman of Virginia’s Democratic Party. “But I also know that Virginians don’t want to bring the MAGA chaos that we have seen in Congress and most recently with the election of the new Speaker of the House.”

Several Virginia Democrats have taken to labeling their Republican opponents as “MAGA extremists,” pointing to issues such as abortion, education and gun control.

The ever-ridiculous David Hogg was apparently campaigning in Virginia for some gun-grabber or other.

The fabulous, gun-toting Winsome Sears has weighed in.

It looks like the Virginia GOP has learned to play by the new rules and are (wisely) pushing early voting.

All eyes on Virginia Tuesday! (And, of course, on gubernatorial races in Kentucky and Louisiana.)

“Yet Democrats look like they may actually pull off some of the Virginia races.”

Still and again, voters are the problem.

Glad to now live in Texas.

Virginia was a nice place.

Republican abortion restrictions brand Republicans as a menace to women’s rights and they’ll lose every election, if young white women are the balance as they have been recently. Heartbeat laws etc. turning up in Republican states.

    So let’s just murder babies

The way you said that Gonzo, I don’t know whether to thumbs up or thumbs down. So thumbs up for sarcasm! 😉

Or better still, let’s just murder any chance to win elections, and thereby avoid the burdensome responsibilities of leadership. That way we can all feel morally superior without having to actually do anything useful.

You can ban women murdering their babies or you can win elections, but you can’t do both. There are a lot more important issues than abortion.

No one has EVER accused you of being bright have they. Your inability to grasp and understand issues is breathtaking

And democrats will vote for a satanist , a pisser, a thug

Over and over , in the same election!

Winsome Sears did disappoint me unfortunately, I had high hopes for her

Have you ever?!

Never!

    Heh. Me, either!

If I had a little spare time for research, I’d be willing to put money down that on the other side of the country, I could find at least one single candidate that checks all four boxes.

Just about every Democrat ad in the DC region was about abortion and MAGA extremists. 1) While proclaiming women must have the freedom to choose, DemoncRats ignore the right of the life that is inside a woman to choose. Who speaks for that life? 2) With regard to DemoncRats labeling Trump supporters as MAGA extremist, that just shows how extremely Left they are. Most of those DemoncRats are very soft on crime. They do not want prosecutors to prosecute or perps to spend too much time in prison. Of course, that leads to a very unsafe society. Cue San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Philadelphia, Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago and Philadelphia.

Portsmouth is the most corrupt city in the Tidewater region of the state. It has been a haven for drugs, crime, and cronyism for as long as I’ve been on this earth. Anyone from there should never be given a mandate for the state but we are where we are on the race hustlers. To put it in perspective, this would be like California handing their state over to the leaders of Oakland and Stockton.

Democrats have just become the party of evil and they no longer try to hide it.

Don’t forget the School Board elections!

The Left knows that they have to begin their indoctrination early. In Fairfax County all 12 school board members and the Superintendent are progressives. We have a group of men and women campaigning tirelessly in order to bring voices of reason to our school board.

chrisboltssr in reply to bev. | November 6, 2023 at 7:23 am

As opposed to getting involved in schoolboard elections, how about getting government out of education and advocating pulling your kids out of public schools?

Ideally, yes. Unfortunately Virginia lacks school choice. Almost no charter schools. Right now with Bidenflation and skyrocketing credit card debt, many middle income families can’t afford the loss of an income required to home school.

So, right now, we have to start making changes at the school board level. In FCPS (Fairfax County Public Schools) SAT scores are dropping. Huge percentage of kids aren’t reading at grade level— much worse among minorities and lower income students, of course. We have high school students who CANNOT READ! And FCPS is in the suburbs!

chrisboltssr in reply to bev. | November 6, 2023 at 11:02 am

So what if Virginia lacks school choice? Get in there and change it, or pull your kids out! You guys act like you have no power to do anything.

And don’t say it’s easier said than done. Just do it.

stevewhitemd in reply to chrisboltssr. | November 6, 2023 at 8:46 am

As opposed to both? Some folks can’t afford private schools and don’t have the means to school at home.

Why not both? Both is good.

chrisboltssr in reply to stevewhitemd. | November 6, 2023 at 11:07 am

Because you don’t need both. If you haven’t figured out by now that public education was never needed you are part of the problem. The education of your kids is, has and always will be the responsibility of the parents and no other entity.

And regards to private schooling, ask yourself why is it so expensive? As Good Will Hunting said, you can get a good education for $1.50 in late fees at the public library.

Why do you guys settle for the status quo as opposed to looking to upend it?

Ah yes the Republican dream to make sure children are illiterate and stupid so they vote republican

Hold the house and flip the Senate.
Lucas is a crooked racist.

Sadly, while the RINOs and their PACs were busy sending residents of the Commonwealth literally a dozen plus asinine flyers a day (what about the planet?), leftists and their ilk were flooding social media and every single other avenue of approach.

It’s going to be a proverbial blood bath (and I am staying home, as a result of the incessant calls to my cell phone and having to throw away more than 400 of said flyers this election cycle).

Some of us reach that political saturation point quicker than others, but I have had enough of the tough-talk and inaction.

Wake up, America. Please.

Azathoth in reply to Plato. | November 6, 2023 at 12:11 pm

So you know it’s an important election….but you’re deliberately not voting because you had to throw out mailers?

    No wonder we lose.

Plato in reply to Azathoth. | November 6, 2023 at 12:25 pm

      Correct.

Moreover, “you” lose, because your ilk promise to secure the border, reduce spending, restore our freedoms and a litany of other conservative promises, then support omnibus bills funding abortion and programs to teach fourth graders to masterbate. “You” lose because you love electing leadership from California and clowns like Paul Ryan and Mitch. “You” lose because you and your ilk have lost their way.

Blame me all you want, kid. Continue to run substitute teachers who spent perhaps 20 days a year in the classroom whose only claim to fame was a vocal appearance on Tucker when trapped in a vehicle during a protest downtown. She barely has the requisite skills to be an assistant manager at the local Walmart…and I would have voted for her (again), but I reached the saturation point and tire of them playing politics like a JV squad.

In short, “you” lose because your party sucks at politics (and legislating while controlling every single facet of government, having held the WH, the House, and the Senate, not to mention a majority of similarly-minded jurors in the courts).

You want to win? Watch how Democrats wield power. Watch them ram disgusting policies down your throat, and watch them make institutional changes that ensure your ilk never win an election again. Now look at you.

(Three more spam calls, two spam texts, and received only 6 flyers today—all of which use tired talking-points recycled from the 80s. You’ve had 40 years to keep your promises. To quote that political powerhouse for whom I only voted once (who could vote for that clown twice???): “Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, you’re not going to fool me three times.”)

I just voted this morning, but I have never been optimistic about these races. The Republicans have no money, but the Democrats are flush with cash, there has been no campaign, no ads, and my House district doesn’t even have a Republican candidate. Youngkin may have gotten many Republicans to vote early, but that only buys you a few points. Women want their abortions, and the young female crowd are all on the permanent mail voting list.

Probably the biggest campaign act Youngkin did was the extra refund checks that went out a few days ago to everyone who paid income tax. I got mine yesterday.

“Don Scott, who was apprehended by federal agents in a Denny’s restaurant in 1994 after running into the bathroom and attempting to flush thousands of dollars in drug money.”

Is there anyone more appropriate to lead the Democrats than a man who literally flushed money down the toilet?
