Shifa Hospital “Civilian” Charade Over: Videos Show Hostages and Long Tunnel With Blast Door
“UNRWA lied, The Red Cross lied, The foreign doctors lied, The journalists lied.”

Since 2014 it has been known that Hamas pretty much ran Shifa Hospital in Gaza city. We reported on it back in 2014, Hamas hides in, under and around Gaza’s main hospital, and the media covers it up (Video).
Israel has been claiming Shifa was a Hamas center since the October 7 massacre:
- IDF: Hamas Uses Al-Shifa Hospital as Main Terror Base (October 27, 2023)
- Captured Hamas Terrorists Admit Hoarding Weapons and Explosives in Gaza’s Shifa Hospital, Other Medical Facilities (November 9, 2023)
Yet when Israel finally took over the hospital, critics claimed Israel exaggerated, because initially all the IDF showed was personal weaponry stored in an unused MRI room (the MRI machine apparently has not worked for years) and other places in the hospital.
Yet Israel methodically was exploring a tunnel discovered, and gathering other evidence. The NY Times reported on November 18 what video of the inside of the tunnel showed, incuding a blast-proof door with a shooting hole (emphasis added).
The hospital has become a particular flashpoint. The military has yet to present public evidence of an extensive tunnel network and command center under Al-Shifa, and Israel is coming under growing international pressure to show that the hospital was a critical military objective.
On Friday, Israeli military officials said the search of the hospital would take time because of the risk of encountering Hamas members and booby traps, and that they would have to use dogs and combat engineers. The Israeli forces are advancing slowly and currently control only part of the hospital site, according to three Israeli officers. They also have avoided entering a shaft that was discovered there.
But the military claims it already has proof of at least part of an underground tunnel complex under the hospital. A video, which an Israeli official said was filmed by a camera that was lowered into the shaft by troops on Friday, and which was reviewed by The New York Times, indicates that it is a man-made tunnel, with at least one lane wide enough for the passage of people. The tunnel appears to be 50 feet or more in length, and at the end of it is a door that the official said is fortified to withstand explosives. The video shows that the door has a small porthole that, according to the Israeli official, allows one-way shooting from the other side of the door into the tunnel.
We now have a much better idea of the tunnel structure, as Israel has released some video showing exactly what the Times report said, a long tunnel (I’ve seen 50 meters, not feet, as the description) with a blast door at the end. The video apparently was obtained by cameras mounted on IDF dogs lowered into the tunnel.
There is no possible way there was a medical purpose to the tunnel – you have to climb down into it (or terrorist climb out of it), it’s narrow and very similar to dozens of other tunnels we’ve seen over the years.

[Gaza Tunnel 2013]

[Gaza Tunnel 2018]
And at the end is a blast door with a firing hole.
What is behind that blast door is something the IDF is working on – or may alreay have figured out but has not revealed. The one thing it can’t do is just send people into tunnels without the tunnels already having been explored for booby traps and Hamas terrorists.
Come join us on a deep-dive into the Hamas tunnel complex underneath the Shifa Hospital.
Hamas' cynical exploitation of hospitals as human shields, in flagrant violation of international law, has nullified their protected status and put people at risk. pic.twitter.com/nDm7ESrDqV

Today’s revelation of Shifa Tunnels shines a spotlight on the @IDF’s professionalism and the media’s sensationalism.
This was filmed two days ago. For two days, we’ve faced criticism that the Shifa Terror Complex is all a big hoax.

The IDF has been telling the world the truth about the Shifa Hospital.
The operation is ongoing and is being conducted carefully, all in order to locate and dismantle Hamas infrastructure in the hospital.

The existence and nature of the tunnel puts the lie to all the claims that Shifa is purely civilian.
So does new video the IDF obtained from Shifa’s internal surveillance cameras, showing hostages being taken to Shifa on October 7. Some but not all are wounded.
another video. As you can see this is from btw 10-11 am on Shabbat morning. The hospital is full of terrorists taking in abducted Israelis, and Thai, and Philippines foreign workers. According the IDF spokesman Noa Marciano was murdered inside Shifaa hospital pic.twitter.com/ldNlncZoTf

There was no medical reason to take them to Shifa – there was a terrorist reason. There were numerous other hospitals along the path the hostages were taken. They were taken to Shifa because it was completely Hamas controlled and provided civilian shields.
Every possible route Hamas terrorists could have taken the hostages into Gaza would have passed through at least 5 other hospitals before reaching Shifa Hospital.

Not all made it out. Including Noa Marciano.
On November 9, CPL Noa Marciano was injured from an IAF strike and the terrorist holding her hostage was neutralized. Following a preliminary pathological report, it was revealed that Noa’s injury was not life-threatening.

Everything you’ve heard from all the usual international suspects was a lie. They all lied.

They’re all in on it. The BBC. Channel Four. Sky. The UN. The Red Cross. They’re all in on it. The doctors & nurses at Al-Shifa. They all know. Hamas is in them – and they’re all in with Hamas. Everything you’ve ever been told about Israel-Palestine from these people is a lie.

See the medical staff of Shifa hospital there? Casually speaking to armed Hamas terrorists who just led a hostage into the room on the right.

Israel has provided extensive, undeniable evidence to confirm what we've long known: Hamas used the Al Shifa hospital as a headquarters.
Those who denied this to smear Israel were acting as useful idiots for Hamas.

The IDF is publishing a significant amount of evidence to back up its claims about the way Hamas used al-Shifa hospital. The denials will doubtless continue, but honest people should take this seriously. To do so does not mean taking sides. https://t.co/5VPLfNFdvm

I am not surprised. Lay waste to all the hospitals with liars in them. Take the gloves off.
“They all knew. All the doctors and nurses of Shifa hospital knew. They all lied.”
That’s because the difference between evil Hamas innocent Palestinians is the difference between a tomato and a tomahto.
The definition of “journalism” has evolved, er, . . . sorry, DEvolved, into “willful deception.” “J School” will hereafter be known as “WD School.”
On “They all knew”…. you left out the CIA and Biden administration.
The evidences of arms caches in hospitals, videos of the hostages held in the hospitals, in addition to the audio of the Hamas calling and being encouraged by his parents is strong anecdotal evidence that the people of Gaza and Hamas are of the same mind.
X is full of Hamas supporters claiming the videos are faked or don’t show what the IDF says they show. The sheer number of Hamas supporters is staggering.
When it’s safe, the IDF should give tours to responsible reporters. If such people exist.
Don’t fret. They aren’t all American. They are getting tons of help from Russian and Chinese bad actors.
You just used a contradictory phrase, like “Jumbo shrimp”. when you used the phrase, ‘Responsible journalist”.
I personally believe Gaza is too small, the activity of digging tunnels etc. too extensive, and the atm0sphere too poisoned for any in Gaza not to have been aware of the upcoming attack. They are rabid animals, seeped in hate and capable of the most savage acts. No mercy..
“…Israel is coming under growing international pressure to show that the hospital was a critical military objective.”
The NYT has admitted the Shifa Hospital is a “military objective.” They’re just fudging about how important or unimportant an objective it may be. I don’t think the laws of war have a similar quibble – if a building serves a military use (other than as a hospital doing no more than tending war-wounded), it’s a valid military objective/target, period.
Is that blast door capable of withstanding the gel explosive they are using in the tunnels? Assuming that they can get to the blast door, how about flooding the other side of the tunnel with nitrous oxide, followed by detonation.
I just saw two news reports about this video and the story. At the end of each there was absolutely no doubt as to what I was permitted to believe, WOW!
It never hurts to identify yellow journalists and publishers. The only time I see their stuff is when I click a link inadvertently, then promptly close the window.
Increasingly I support the one state solution: Israel, all of it. And once they control all of it they can start the long process (and it would be long, possibly multigenerational) of getting the Palestinians used to living like civilized people. No more steeping their children in rabid hatred from the time they are born for starters would be a huge difference, bye bye Hamas’s twisted version of Mickey Mouse for instance.
How can that be done? The only solution I can think of is to take all children away from their parents and raise them in orphanages, like the ones that American Indian children were put in ~100 years ago to civilize them.
But what can be done with all those between the ages of 10 and 30? They’re broken and I don’t think they can be fixed. An entire generation is criminally insane, having been brainwashed since birth.
I’m honestly not sure but that may have to be part of it. I do think the very culture of the area needs to be addressed if there is going to be any chance of lasting peace and that those who would be committed to living that way (not faking it btw) need to be encouraged and supported both by Israel and the international community.
How did we deal with brainwashed Nazis and Japanese militarists? We bombed and crushed them into total submission.
Stop using Western (leftist) thinking here. In totalitarian societies, they respect strength. Pulverize them. Leave them with nothing.
As Moshe Dayan said: “Israel must be like a mad dog – too crazy to bother.
Also read this by an Orthodox Rabbi:
https://spectator.org/dresden-why-i-am-not-moved-by-gazan-deaths/
We crushed only the German and Japanese military. Germans and Japanese were not brainwashed; once the war was over we reestablished civil government and handed control back to them within 5-7 years. The population was capable of behaving like decent people, and no children had to be taken from their parents and put in orphanages. None of that is the case here.
The only solution to this is unpalatable but necessary, Even worse is that problem extends to kids younger than 10. I have known numerous people who adopted, babies did ok, younger kids did not. 3 and under may be salvageable.
Sorry but this is just not correct. Nazi’sm had permeated all parts of civilian life, from pre-school through to University and Government institutions and public life. Go and visit any local small town museum and you will see just how all encompassing the nazi ideology was in Germany. Once you read what the Nazi’s got up to in the 30’s you will see exact parallels with what has been happening here in the West. Speech and thought control was huge!
We are dealing with a religion that needs de-nazificaton in the region and that can only happen with a steel glove.
Any child under the age of 10, put into orphanages as you stated, and try to rehabilitate them into being civil, responsible, people.
All those 10 and up, forcibly deport them to Jordan, which is where they belong anyway.
Jordan and every other country in he Middle East do not want them, Israel does not deserve having to put up with them.
Not Jordan. Jordan doesn’t want them and I wouldn’t want to risk destabilizing Jordan.
Send them to Iran. (who doesn’t want them as they are the opposite branch of Islam) And sending to Iran could be bad as they would use them as human suicide fodder.
Iran is a good idea, and then reduce Iran to living conditions like when Muhammad was alive.
I told people how that can be done. And was immediately put into “automatic moderation” as my comments were deemed unacceptable and somehow a threat to this website. And every comment I attempted to post no matter how innocuous had to be approved before becoming public.
Suffice it to say, there is a way that a one-state solution can be achieved. But I cannot tell you.
There are problems with upstream hosting service using terms of service to abridge freedom of speech. I ran into this a number of years ago, eventually finding a hosting service which did not do this, LI should do the same.
If you are familar with Libel-Defamation, wording is important. We have a similar situation here. We all know what Pales mean when they talk about freeing Palestine from the river to the sea, I think that terrorist’s and all their supporters should be expelled from the river to the sea. Meant in the same way they mean when they advocate that
I think you have described the children in America too. They have been taught to hate America and what it stands for. I don’t believe they can ever be saved. Between the black street thugs and the “Elite” college kids, they make a lost generation that I can’t see ever being returned to the fold.
The difference is that in many cases those kids have parents who love America and continue to be an example, even if an ignored one. At some age, those kids may come around. Palestinian kids have no role models who do not hate Jews.
Never happen
Certainly as far as changing the culture I believe you are absolutely correct. What was it Golda Meir said years ago – “We can forgive [the Arabs] for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with [the Arabs] when they love their children more than they hate us…”
What these Arabs and a fairly large % of inner city American blacks do not do a good job raising their children. We all pay a heavy price for this. In both these cases they turn out extremely violent.
Why should Israel put up with them at all. One state yes, populated by Jews from around the world. Exiled Jordanians should now be exiled from Palestine. Let them learn to swim.
I guess the Hippocratic Oath allows participation in terrorist activity. Good to know.
Hypocrite Oath
World pressure will keep Gaza alive and like a cancer, it will re-grow and threaten Israel in the future. The Israelis cannot do what they should and that is destroying Gaza completely because world opinion will not allow them to do so. They must live with these monsters on their border and know that a new attack is forthcoming.
Sad but absolutely true. Guess that is what happens when we have a bunch of “diplomats” who are on their way to taking their countries to self-immolation and decide that they will force the Israelis to immolate first.
Well you either get did of them, or look a ways to tame them, lobotomy, addition of estrogen to food or water supply, limit the number of children they can have, any other ideas?
The WashPost is still more critical of the tunnels existing than they are of Hamas’ death toll numbers.
Saw this thread earlier on phone but now looking tablet.
