U.S. Strikes Two Syria Facilities Linked to Iran After Attacks on American Troops

“These narrowly tailored strikes in self-defense were intended solely to protect and defend U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria. They are separate and distinct from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas…”

The United States military “conducted self-defense strikes” on two Syrian facilities linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Since Hamas invaded Israel, those groups connected to Iran, have struck American bases in Syria and Iraq.

Those groups hit the American bases 19 times in the past 10 days.

The attacks caused 21 injuries. A U.S. citizen contractor died from cardiac arrest while seeking shelter during a strike.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stressed the strikes on Syrian facilities did not change America’s position in the Hamas-Israel War:

The United States does not seek conflict and has no intention nor desire to engage in further hostilities, but these Iranian-backed attacks against U.S. forces are unacceptable and must stop. Iran wants to hide its hand and deny its role in these attacks against our forces. We will not let them. If attacks by Iran’s proxies against U.S. forces continue, we will not hesitate to take further necessary measures to protect our people.

These narrowly tailored strikes in self-defense were intended solely to protect and defend U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria. They are separate and distinct from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, and do not constitute a shift in our approach to the Israel-Hamas conflict. We continue to urge all state and non-state entities not to take action that would escalate into a broader regional conflict.

America did not coordinate or alert Israel about the strikes.

The Biden administration has hesitated to admit Iran backed the Hamas invasion even though Hamas wouldn’t be where it is now without Iran. Plus, Hamas terrorists trained in Iran weeks before the invasion.

America has strengthened its presence in the Middle East since Hamas invaded Israel.

Syrians are now calling for gun control in the US.

“Tell me over and over again, my friend. You don’t believe we’re on the Eve of Destruction.”

Deep State wanted a war, now their going to get one.
Arm the Muslims with Cas and weapons then when they do what one would expect the obvious happens.

So glad America gave its enemy $6 billion to buy peace, only to end up getting war.

We are governed by overeducated idiots and fools.

“We are governed by overeducated idiots and fools.”,….truer words were never spoken

$6 Billion? Try adding Brandon’s lifting of oil sanctions on Iran immediately upon taking office and it’s close to $80,000,000. Add the fact they are selling all that oil to China and it looks like Xi buying Hunter and Brandon was the greatest bribe ever

      Make that $80,000,000,000

Sounds like a design to me.

Something is better than nothing and there is danger in how a more aggressive set of responses might be viewed in the region. That said this is small potatoes and IMO, the folks who are predisposed to hate the USA and link any US actions with Israel are gonna do it anyway. In turn that means our leadership chose a very limited set of targets which is likely to be viewed as weakness as well as ‘doing the bidding of Israel’; a doubly ineffective response IOW. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Yep. We are the big Satan, Israel is the little Satan. They don’t really differentiate.

Israel is the “Little Satan,” or, alternatively, “the Zionist entity.”

Indeed. Which is why, IMO, it was a mistake to limit the response to such a limited set of targets. We are gonna get the same vitriol, the same propaganda BS and much of the same hostility in the region for a small target package as a big one so eff it go big.

Dotard-marionette and crime boss, Biden, setting the world on fire, as only a feckless, stupid and incompetent Dhimmi-crat President can.

President Trump was unfairly and maliciously vilified as allegedly “erratic” and jingoistic, yet he presided over relative global peace and kept malicious and malevolent actors such as Russia, China and Iran, in check and on their best behavior (relatively speaking).

Remembers, folks — we were told that when Dhimmi-crats hold the White House, the “adults” are supposedly back in charge.

In short, this is a brush-back pitch. Sort of “We don’t care if you pound on Israel, just don’t send anything our way or we’ll pound on you, and we have a bigger club.” I’m fairly confident that if all of the Middle East launched attacks on Israel, all this administration would do is evacuate the embassy out to the carriers, then sail away.

The same people who are openly protesting and demonstrating in support of Gaza also support Syria. So when our planes begin to conduct air strikes in Syria, these people will begin to show open hostility toward Americans in general because they see us as the enemy.

In that case, they are our enemy. We have an enemy within.
