U.S. Based ‘Students For Justice In Palestine’ Praises ‘Historic’ Attacks on Israel, Calls for Campus ‘Day of Resistance’ Against ’Zionist Enemy’

National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) issued a call on Monday for a “National Day of Resistance” to be held throughout the United States after “a historic win for the Palestinian resistance” on October 7. Legal Insurrection has extensively covered NSJP’s campus activities, which included an anti-Israel display during “Israeli Apartheid Week.”

The group’s “Day of Resistance Toolkit” condemned Israel’s response to Hamas-led attacks on Israeli civilians, alleging “Israel has murdered 320 Palestinians” in the wake of the Palestinian’s “historic win” that saw Israeli citizens raped and murdered by Hamas terrorists:

Several of these rape victims appear to have been later executed. Others were taken to Gaza. In photographs released online, you can see several paraded through the city’s streets, blood gushing from between their legs.

NSJP called on “the student movement for Palestine liberation” to rally “on college campuses across occupied Turtle Island (so-called US and Canada).” The Anti-Defamation League has reported that several university chapters of the group are partaking in the event scheduled for October 12.

The toolkit encouraged supporters to “normalize the resistance,” which is “not a ‘war’ or ‘conflict.’ It is a struggle for national liberation.”

“The occupation, the day to day and the existence of Israel is not peaceful,” NSJP argued in support for “resistance.”

“Palestine will be liberated from the river to the sea,” NSJP proclaimed. According to the American Jewish Committee, “from the river to the sea” is a “catch-all phrase symbolizing Palestinian control over the entire territory of Israel’s borders, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea” and “calls for erasing the State of Israel and its people.”

NSJP places the “[r]esponsibility for every single death . . . solely on the [Z]ionist entity” because Israel “do[es] not care one bit for the Geneva Conventions but demand[s] Palestinians follow them to the letter.” (Hamas’s use of human shields, violating the Geneva Conventions, is well-documented.)

The toolkit’s section on “messaging & framing” provides numerous talking points rationalizing violent tactics, including some points seemingly justifying violence against civilians.

“Settlers are not ‘civilians’ in the sense of international law, because they are military assets used to ensure continued control over stolen Palestinian land” and liberation “requires confrontation by any means necessary.”
