“Violence will necessarily continue as long as apartheid and settler colonialism exist.”

This ideology is embeded in higher education. It is everywhere.

From their letter:

Palestine Solidarity Letter

As a labor union concerned with the dignity of life for workers everywhere, GTAC’s leadership unequivocally supports a free Palestine and demands an end to the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory. We condemn the ongoing settler colonial project, known as the nation-state of Israel, which does not represent all Jewish people and is not synonymous with biblical Israel. We condemn the ethnic genocide and sexual violence against and the expulsion and maiming of the Palestinian people which began with the 1948 Nakba and has continued since. We refuse to stay silent in the face of deadly and inhuman injustices. Violence will necessarily continue as long as apartheid and settler colonialism exist. Palestinians must be free if we ever hope to see peace.

We encourage our members to educate themselves on and teach about the apartheid of Palestine, which is a direct result of racist violence, including both the forced displacement of Palestinians from their land and the forced displacement of Jewish people from Europe. We must remember Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed where he explains, “With the establishment of oppression, violence has already begun. Never in history has violence been initiated by the oppressed. How could they be the initiator, if they themselves are the result of violence?”

One thing you can always count on is that the Left will always take the side of the most evil and ruthless.

In any conflict.

Because they are fundamentally cowards.

Perhaps it’s just human nature, quien sabe

Make a list of their names and add them to the do not hire list.

Curious. I left a comment just after this was posted this morning. That comment has disappeared. If I was a suspicious type… 🙂

If this is truly a “labor union,” they should stay in their lane and focus their activities on issues involving pay, benefits, and working conditions of their membership and not concern themselves with issues over which they have neither control nor influence. Unions, especially in academia, have become organizations focused on advancing and advocating the political interests and agendas of their so-called leaders instead of those of their general membership. If this is how they’re going to exercise their First Amendment rights, they should be labeled an organization sponsoring terrorism and accept the consequences.

Fire and expel them.

Nineteen Republican lawmakers are calling for foreign students who are in the U.S. on temporary visas and have expressed support for Hamas to have their visas revoked and be deported from the country — in the wake of the deadly terror attacks on Israel.
