Texas High Schoolers Chant ‘From the River to the Sea’ During Anti-Israel Walkout

The school gave the kids an excused absence, too.

We saw San Francisco students walking out of school yelling, “From the river to the sea.”

McMillen High School’s Muslim Student Association (MSA), located in Plano, TX, also staged a massive walkout.

The students also chanted, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”

The school even gave the students an excused absence. I wonder if the school would give the students an excused absence if they participated in a pro-Israel rally.

Parents, if your kid is singing “From the river to the sea,” you have a major problem.

You can view everything on the MSA Instagram page. I’m going to supply screenshots in case the students make it private.

Then the MSA links to a post from the University of North Texas’s MSA.

It provides tips if you’re Zionist approaches you.

Very interesting how you left out that the sponsor of Mcmillen High School’s MSA is a Jewish woman… instead put the blame on the Palestinian teacher who is NOT their sponsor. This is a fine example of poor journalism with bias that YOU, yourself Miss Chastin. But I guess it depends on what side you’re on, correct?
Also, does First Amendment not apply in this situation? The students called for the liberation of Palestine and mentioned nothing about Israel. Again, this article reeks of bias.

What, specifically, does “the liberation of Palestine” that doesn’t impact Israel look like?

Does it look like the Gaza Strip and West Bank being granted national sovereignty alongside Israel and splitting Jerusalem down the middle to serve as the capital of both the Israeli and Palestinian states?

Because that has been offered to the Palestinians more than once and has been rejected each time.

So what solution are you suggesting that would liberate “Palestine” but leave Israel intact?

The government can not build files on children here on visas, but private parties can and should.

The Gentle Grizzly | October 25, 2023 at 7:33 am

Any guesses as to “extra credit” for doing this?

Or, any guesses as to “little Jennifer didn’t participate in a class activity, so, a parent-teacher conference is being arranged…”

First the communists told us they would defeat us through our children which has been quite effective. For 25 years Muslims have been doing the same with Qatar being ground zero for funding with generous gifts to colleges and universities for over 25 years. These HS children have no clue about history and no clue about what consequences can look like. They themselves will have to be harmed first. Then will come wisdom.

And their parents keep sending them to the government schools, which have teachers and a peer group that perpetrate these activities.

      mariachavit1234 in reply to gibbie. | October 25, 2023 at 5:03 pm

The teacher in question who perpetuated this is a Jewish woman. Not a Palestinian woman, which the article tries convincing you of. You wouldn’t know this because you don’t go to McMillen or know anybody who does.

        Source?

          mariachavit1234 in reply to henrybowman. | October 26, 2023 at 12:27 am

A student who goes to Mcmillen High School. Otherwise a PRIMARY SOURCE. Something you and the writer of this biased article have no clue about.

What, specifically, is the relevance of your point? Assuming your claim is accurate and the group is led by a Jewish person…so what?

The event still took place and is still egregious in light of the recent barbarism displayed by Hamas…who the “Palestinians” in the Gaza strip ELECTED to lead them.

It obviously doesn’t speak well to the character of the Jewish person who led the event, but saying “it was led by a Jewish person” doesn’t make it any more acceptable.

Potentially more folks who’s immigration status may not be compatible with this activity, espouses terrorism or espouse support of terrorist organizations such as Hamas.

Ignorance is bliss, and with Progressives teaching our children to hate, we are screwed.

The Gentle Grizzly | October 25, 2023 at 8:07 am

Regarding that sign the girl is holding. Were I good with a photo editing program, I’d make it “Free Palestine: collect the whole set”.

Both Plano Texas and Richardson TX has a very large muslim population, especially on the east side. Plano and Richardson are suburbs on the north side of Dallas.

It should be pointed out the city of Plano remains conservative, the teaching profession is very progressive/woke even in conservative areas.

Thus it’s not surprising that the offending students were given free pass

Right under our noses for decades. Decent people have an uphill battle to reclaim public education from Democrat Party interest groups. But then the trouble with decent people is their decency.

gibbie in reply to Whitewall. | October 25, 2023 at 9:36 am

“Public education” should be “reclaimed” only by disestablishing it and replacing it with school choice. The government school system is fundamentally un-American. It is America’s best example of totalitarian socialism.

What can be done immediately is decent parents can “reclaim” their children out of the government schools.

CommoChief in reply to gibbie. | October 25, 2023 at 10:07 am

IMO, simply allowing the taxes raised in support of publicly FUNDED K-12 education to follow the Student v the illusion, in most States, that those fund MUST flow to the Public schools operated de facto by ideologues and teachers unions would be a game changer. Allow the funds to follow the Student to whatever the Parents choose as best meeting the unique educational needs/goals of their children. Lets face it there are some Parents who won’t abandon govt schools and that option should still exist but no Student should be locked into that.

So on one hand these kids are “Anti-Semetic” for showing their support for Palestine yet you resort to an insult that Hitler was known to refer to Jews as to these kids? How ironic.

The anti-semiticism on college campuses has been growing over the last decade. From the halls of academia, it has spread into the public school system. Apparently, modern families are far too busy with careers and self-fulfillmenrt to notice their kids have turned into uncivilized monsters supporting rapists and baby killers.

Once again, my kid would be in traction if they participated in this.

However, my son is MUCH smarter than that and he knows bullshit when he sees it.

This and other pro terrorist demonstrations at schools makes me even more sure that it is time to end government sanctioned compulsory schooling.
But that is a subject for another day.

I think strict attention needs to be paid on how many of the terrorist sympathizers at these mob marches are minorities. Because trust me the combination of changing demographics, racial grievance propaganda, increasing urban violence and lawlessness mean the next Hamas is just around the corner. Minority students are being fed the same pack of horse hockey about the United States as they are told is the “true” history of Palestine and Israel.

What this leads to is justification for terrorist acts. Despite what the FBI has been yammering about grievance against the sitting government is usually not likely to lead to large scale terrorist attacks (Oklahoma City was an exception to that). What leads to large scale attacks is
a. a belief that the entire system is corrupt and beyond repair.
b. a belief your people are oppressed and justice is impossible.
c. a belief that anyone outside of your belief system is a willing participant in your oppression.
d. a belief that your people are being kept out of any economic success.
e. having false history pounded into you over and over again.
f. lack of virtuous father figure and family structure.
The above is just my humble opinion. I will argue though that terrorists are being created not by actions of our government but by the actions of our schools, the media, and many public officials. That means the influence on impressionable teens and young adults is stronger and more dangerous than ever .

Remember when the left thought Hitler was a bad guy? Nah, they hate him for turning on Stalin

Every time Israel is attacked, they get more land. The Palestinian people need to understand that God promised Israel a lot of land. Gen 15:18 states that On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt (Nile) to the great river, the river Euphrates.”

We know who they are. Prospective colleges and employers need to know who they are, and must answer for admitting or employing them.

The school may have gave them a pass but in my class the students who showed up got a pop quiz worth 75% of their entire grade
Question: “Which U.S. State are we in”?

mariachavit1234 | October 25, 2023 at 4:57 pm

Very interesting how you as the “journalist” Miss Chastain leave out the very fact that Mcmillen High School’s MSA sponsor is a Jewish woman and she herself approved of this walkout. Instead, you put the blame on the only Palestinian teacher at that school to paint her as a terrorist sympathizer when she is NOT even in charge of their MSA! This is an example of poor and biased journalism, you don’t even know what you’re talking about… very interesting how you and others only favor the First Amendment when it’s in support for your cause and not against it. These kids have every right to protest the occupation of Palestine, the First Amendment protects them and does not care about your feelings in this case!

Interesting how you question my claims but blindly believe everything the writer of this article wrote. Miss Chastain does not even live in Texas, I know people who attend this school. She only knows these students off their Instagram posts and stories. Funny.

This entirety of Ms. Chastain’s commentary in the OP is in bold below. The rest of the OP consists of embedded images and posting(s) from Twitter/X. Where did she say what you have attributed to her?
