Judge in Trump’s Civil Trial Smiles, Laughs, and Appears ‘Giddy’ at the Camera

What a disgrace.

Judge Arthur Engoron smiled and laughed when the camera turned to him as President Donald Trump’s civil trial kicked off.

Constitutional lawyer Jonathan Turley described him as “giddy,” which is perfect. You can also see New York Attorney General Letitia James stare down Trump, who sat in a stoic position at the defendant table. He did not show any type of emotion.

Trump was the mature one in the courtroom.

Then Engoron kicked out the media.

Try not to read into this. He might only be drunk.

He looks like Merrick Garland’s brother! It reminds me of the “Two asses on the camel” joke.

A single judge ruling by diktat to destroy a multi-billion dollar company because he doesn’t like the politics of the man who built it.

The word circus comes to mind.

Stomach turning. And a 2 sentence rider defunding the federal law fare and its perverted state counterpart that depends on federal monies should have been easy for the House. Instead every Biden agenda item, including the lawfare, goes happily forward. And 45 days from now? Well, Thanksgiving holiday, new shutdown nonsense followed by full funding for Biden.

Circus Haiku is needed

Engoron the Judge;
A moron holding a grudge
Smirking at the fudge

Twisting in the wind
When the words begin to spin
The hoist and petard

All of you thinking that we can still save the country at the ballot box, pay attention.

We live in a police state what’s your plan? All we can do is get others of like mind to vote. If you doubt me, ask J6 or Trump what happens when you do otherwise. They are working to break Trump, what do you think you alone are going to do?

Valid point. However, the question is when do the people stop willingly being victims in a totalitarian regime? It is abundantly clear that while we have a legal system we don’t have anything resembling a justice system at the Federal level or in blue states and cities. It is blatant reward your friends and punish your enemies.

Now it is just hundreds of J6 protestors, a few dozen pro life protestors and parents trying to defend their children from predators and Marxists in schools as well as a great many from Trump’s political team including advisors and attorneys as well as the former President.

In my opinion there is still a chance that Trump can win in 2024 and I feel there is enough courage and conviction from people he can ally with like the AG’s from Missouri, TX and Louisiana to put together a team and disperse much of the Federal bureaucracy which is a government accountable to no one.

If the Dems win in 2024 then the issue is, do people submit to tyranny for themselves and future generation or resist. Hopefully I am wrong, but Solzhenitsyn makes the key point in his classic Gulag Archipelago that if people would have just resisted when the organs came to drag people away there would never been enough KGB and others to send millions of people to brutal concentration camps and usually a horrible death.

There’s much more than simply voting: We can volunteer to oversee election results & maintain integrity; We all MUST run for Mayor, School Board or other local offices for positions that are now primarily controlled by Democrats. Unless we start locally, we lose the war.

One downtick is mine. It was supposed to be an uptick. Big paws.

Engoron’s insane $18 million valuation of Mar-A-Lago should be enough to render every opinion of his null and void and get him thrown off of this case. Honestly, that single claim by the judge is as stupid and as crazy as anything could be and shows that he is either a complete moron or totally corrupt or a totally corrupt moron.

This judge is an embarrassment and a criminal.

Ridiculously low property valuation. Mugging for the cameras. For some reason the phrase “Grounds for appeal” comes to mind.

Grounds for impeachment, I’d think. They’re willing to burn the law to the ground to get one man and think it will be there for them when they call on it.

Mauiobserver in reply to Voyager. | October 2, 2023 at 2:59 pm

Not the law they want to maintain it to wield with an iron fist to punish their enemies.

What they have destroyed is the justice system. They have erased any semblance of equal protection under the law.

I hope that there is a reckoning and they reap what they have sowed multiplied many times over.

Who would impeach him? He’s a NY state judge. Both houses of the NY legislature are now Democrat.

Engoron, James and Willis all behave as if Trump personally harmed them. Look at Letitia staring him down as if she’s about to stab him in the back. This is absolutely personal for them. They are incapable of reigning in their bias and hatred. They all need therapy to deal with their irrational rage.

Unprofessional behavior in a serious matter..a man of integrity would recuse himself, but that’s not what this is about so the charade continues. The latest upshot is 80% of the “charges” brought by Ms. Letitia ‘Get Trump’ AG are beyond the statute of limitations (something a 1st year law student would have known), so The Chuckler tossed them. Her case is falling apart…because it has no merit and built on deranged fantasy as one of the paid operative tentacles to thwart Trump’s election bid.

But on the remaining charges, enough has already been ruled against Trump that his businesses are being put into receivership, in parallel with the courtroom trial. Probably timed so that any appeal would be too late to stop the sale or dissolution process from beginning, by the smiling smirking one on the bench.

The activist “judge” is thrilled with his fifteen minutes of Stalinist show trial fame. What a disgrace to the bench and to the Bar.

It all feels like a Tom Wolfe novel come to life..
