Israel Creates Special Unit to Hunt Down Every Palestinian Involved In Planning and Carrying Out October 7 Massacre

Israel’s intelligence agency Shin Bet has set up a special unit to track down and eliminated every single Hamas terrorist who took part in the October 7 attack, Israeli media reported Sunday.

The new dedicated unit called NILI, an acronym in Hebrew for Netzach Yisrael Lo Yeshaker, meaning “the eternity of God will not lie” (1 Samuel 15:29), is apparently named after a Jewish resistance group which fought against the Turkish Ottoman rule during the World War I.

The operation, run jointly by intelligente agencies Mossad and Shin Bet, is already underway and has succeeded in taking out some of the senior Hamas figures behind the shock terrorist attack, media reports say.

“The command center, which is made up of operations and intelligence personnel, already has the names and pictures of the terrorists in question. Some of them have already been eliminated, and the homes of others have been attacked. The goal is to reach each and every one of them wherever they are,” the Israeli broadcaster Arutz Sheva reported Sunday.

Top on the unit’s list are the commanders of Hamas’s Nukhba forces who led thousands of their terrorist fighters in the cross-border attack carrying out horrifying atrocities, including murdering and burning of babies. Hamas terrorists killed 1400 Israelis and took 210 hostages, among them women, children and elderly.

The Jerusalem Post reports:

In Israel’s ongoing effort to track down all those involved in the brutal terrorist attack that left more than 1,400 victims, the Shin Bet has established a new unit named Nili, an acronym in Hebrew that translates as “The Eternity of Israel Will Not Lie”.This unit is dedicated to hunting down and eliminating every individual who played a role in the massacre in the western Negev settlements two weeks ago. This force was specifically set up to target members of Nukhba (a special commando unit within Hamas’s military wing) who infiltrated Israel, executed mass killings in various villages and IDF outposts, and subsequently returned to the Gaza Strip. The members of this new organization function independently from other Command and Control units that are focused on neutralizing strike cells and high-ranking terrorists. This particular mission is distinct, with the organization encompassing both field operatives and intelligence personnel.Last Saturday, Ali Qadhi, a commander within the Hamas Nukhba force and a key player in the attack on the border area, was taken out. The following day saw the elimination of another leading figure, Billal Al Kedra, who spearheaded the lethal raid in Nirim.

The formation of the Shin Bet unit is reminiscent of the operation “Wrath of God” to hunt down the culprits of the the Munich Olympics massacre of 1972, where 11 Israelis were murdered by Palestinian PLO-linked Black September terrorist group. Mossad agents hunted down several Palestinian terrorists hiding in Europe and Arab countries over the span of 16 years.

Hezbollah continues cross-border attacks into Israel

As IDF prepares for a possibile ground offensive in Gaza, Lebanon-based  Hezbollah is stepping up terrorist activities in the north, raising speculations that the Iran-backed terrorist militia might open a second front. The IDF has so far successfully repelled those attacks, the Israel Hayom newspaper reported Sunday:

An IDF spokesperson stated that the IDF targeted Hezbollah’s assets, including a military compound from which a ground-to-air missile was fired towards an IDF drone in the Lebanese border area. The missile was intercepted by Israel, and the drone completed its mission successfully without damage.

The Israeli military is reportedly carrying out ‘shaping operations’ ahead of a large-scale ground offensive. The IDF “is expected to further ramp up strikes in the Gaza Strip to ensure a safer entry for forces during the upcoming ground offensive,” Times of Israel noted Sunday. “Strikes in recent days have included targeting high-rise building that are allegedly being used by Hamas as sniper positions.”

IDF hits Syrian airports linked to Iran’s terrorist weapons supply

The Israeli military is determined to cut off Iranian weapons supply to Hezbollah. Nearly 10 days after Israel conducted airstrikes on the Syrian airports of Aleppo and Damascus, a similar strike was reported on Sunday. The two main airports are logistical hubs for Iran’s weapons delivery to Hezbollah and other terrorist groups. The Ynet reported:

Syrian media reported an Israeli strike on the airports in Damascus and Aleppo, early on Sunday, one week after similar attacks were carried out.The strike was the most extensive thus far and included more munitions than were used overnight in Gaza against Hamas targets. The runways in both airfields were bombed amid real concerns that forces and advanced weaponry from Iran and Iraq would arrive to be deployed in Syria and Lebanon.
