House Republicans Drop Jim Jordan as Speaker Nominee, Will Start Over Next Week

The House Republicans have dropped Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan as their Speaker nominee.

Jordan has lost three votes, losing more votes in each round. He needed 217 Republicans votes.

Republicans have gone home for the weekend. They’ll likely pick this back up on Monday.

Maybe a vote on Tuesday? Temp Speaker McHenry won’t run for Speaker.
