BLM Group Expresses Solidarity With Palestinian Terror Attacks, Mocks Rave Victims

Black Lives Matter-affiliated groups courted controversy this week after expressing solidarity with Palestinians in the wake of Hamas-led terrorist attacks against Israel.

BLM Chicago on Tuesday shared an image of a Palestinian paraglider in midflight with the words “I stand with Palestine.” The imagery evoked Hamas paragliders who descended on Israeli concertgoers at the start of the conflict, with devastating consequences. “At least 250 were killed” at the concert, according to The Telegraph.

The BLM Global Network Foundation, which launched the BLM movement, refused to condemn the controversial comments of the BLM-affiliated groups, telling The Washington Free Beacon it had no official relationship with the groups.

BLM Chicago removed the post the next day and offered an apology of sorts: “Yesterday we sent out [messages] that we aren’t proud of.”

“We stand with Palestine & the people who will do what they must to live free,” continued the half-hearted apology. “Our hearts are with, the grieving mothers, those rescuing babies from rubble, who are in danger of being wiped out completely.”

Twitter users took BLM Chicago to task for its messaging in the since-deleted tweet.

Conservative commentator and Daily Wire personality reiterated his view that “BLM is a terrorist organization”:

Fox News contributor and Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon urged Jewish supporters of BLM to take a second look at the organization:

Another group, BLM Grassroots, on Monday posted a “statement in solidarity with the Palestinian people.” The solidarity statement highlighted “parallels between Black and Palestinian people” as the latter “attempt to tear down the gates of the world’s largest open air prison.”

Daily Wire‘s Michael Knowles cautioned that “BLM would gleefully do to all of us what Hamas just did to the Jews” in a tweet referencing BLM Chicago and BLM Grassroots’ statements:
