‘Pretty Extreme Individuals’: Elon Musk Goes to the Border With Video Camera in Hand

“Why do so many American politicians from both parties care 100 times more about the Ukraine border than the USA border?”

Elon Musk visited the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Thursday to raise awareness about the invasion that’s taking place on a daily basis.

Musk brought a camera and spoke with Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) and local law enforcement officials.

FOX News reports:

Elon Musk livestreams border to give people firsthand account of migrant crisis

Tech billionaire Elon Musk visited the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Thursday with plans to livestream a tour of the area to give people a sense of the real situation with the ongoing migrant crisis.

Musk, who owns Tesla, SpaceX and X, has shown significant interest in the ongoing crisis along the border and has been posting about it frequently on his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

On Tuesday, he announced he had spoken with U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, about the crisis, who confirmed it was a “serious issue.”

Musk, while donning a black cowboy hat, went live on his platform Thursday, saying he was going to go around and speak with officials and “eyeball the situation to get the real story.”

“This is real time, unfiltered,” he said. “What you see is what I see.”

Musk then said as an immigrant himself, he is “extremely pro immigrant,” but explained that there needs to be expanded immigration that allows hardworking and honest people to legally come to the U.S., but not allow immigrants who are going to break the law.

Musk warns ‘some pretty extreme individuals’ entering US during trip to southern border

Billionaire Elon Musk toured the southern border in Texas Thursday and warned “some pretty extreme” migrants are crossing into the US as he offered an “unfiltered” view of the ongoing crisis…

“To be clear we’re both very much in favor of expanded legal immigration. I think anyone who is hardworking and honest and is really gonna add to … the economy, we should let them in,” Musk said.

“But what we’re seeing here are in some cases some pretty extreme individuals coming through … obviously not suggesting everyone is like this.”

Musk then mentioned how he heard a man hopped the border with facial tattoos, including tears drops, which he said “means they have murdered someone and they are so proud of having murdered someone that they tattoo — one tear on their face for every one person that they killed.”

“That’s exactly right,” Gonzales — whose district covers hundreds of miles along the border — replied when Musk asked if that was correct.

Watch below as Musk is told about the size and scale of the problem, and how the Biden administration differs from previous ones in its refusal to repatriate the border crossers:

Musk seems to care about this issue more than many of our elected leaders.

An excellent question:

Follow the money train

    Follow both trains.
Ukraine is bribing our pols to close their border.
The cartels are bribing them to leave ours open.

The Border Patrol is not an Army. How do a few people stop an invasion force of thousands per day? And now that these invaders are here, what do we do about them? What is the likelihood that Joe Biden going to give them instant citizenship before he leaves office?

The Feds could cooperate with local and State officials Ask for NG assistance to stem the flow at the border. Instead of release into border towns or on a bus/plane to the interior of the USA arrest them then deport them. Failing that put them on converted container ships to Alaska where they can homestead if they would rather. In any event stop waving them through and start deporting including, perhaps especially so, in the interior of the USA. A few dozen C-17 flights packed standing room only returning illegal immigrants to their home Nations regardless if they have been here 50 years and word would get out that it’s a new day and new mindset for enforcement. Become utterly ruthless, if some jackass crosses illegally and gets caught in concertina wire eff him/her, leave them there to figure out how to extricate themselves just like they figured out how to get into the wire in the first place. Pass a federal death penalty for trafficking human beings or drugs across the border with life/no parole as the only alternative. IO get serious about figuring our solutions, get busy implementing them v complaining about the size/scope of the problem.

Once the cost of being an illegal immigrant rises above any perceived or actual reward then the flow stops. People respond to incentives. Align the incentives to get the prefers outcome of a closed border and it will materialize, just as the current incentives of an open border have caused the mess.

Stop giving them welfare, free housing, free food, jobs, driver’s licenses, or any other aid and comfort. Like rats and raccoons, if you cut off the bait, they stop coming around.

2-3 years ago I said 3 simple words would shut this all down: Shoot to Kill.

“That’s not who we are!,” I was told. So? We are not going to BE who we are anymore anyway! What difference would it make?

Now the problem is 10 times worse. Is everybody happy?

Not necessary to do that. Simply make it a very non welcoming environment. Between the two lists of action items provided by txvet2 and myself it would be an incredibly non welcoming experience. Especially when contrasted with that of the Biden Admin, blue State/City politicians and sadly some red State politicians.

There should be an online database were citizens can post picture and whatever other information they have about illegals. At some point that database should be used to expel illegals.

When the time is ripe, illegals should be warned to leave, say a 30-60 day period to do so, followed by a bounty for their capture. Thye leave on their own they can take assets, if they have to be captured they should be stripped of all assets.

    Any other suggestions?

Everyone granted a future hearing date but released should have to post bond and then just like everyone else who skips out on bond failing to show up or remain in communication as required issue an arrest warrant and send bail bondsman to find and retrieve them.

We’d need to repurpose all of those IRS agents. The system is so overwhelmed now that they’re giving appearance appointments years in the future. It isn’t going to improve with CBP waving them through by the thousands every day. I hate to point it out, but we’re supposed to be on the libertarian side of this – less government, not more, although obviously I realize the cause is just. The intent of the left is to make this a majority minority nation, and they’re pretty much gotten it done. It’ll take a lot more law enforcement to dig these rats out of their holes than it took to open the gates and let them in
