Target Sales Slump After Pride Month Merchandise Backlash

Target sales plummeted during the second quarter after backlash towards its Pride Month merchandise, especially aimed at children:

Comparable sales slipped 5.4% while the $24.8 billion in total revenue was 4.9% lower than last year.Negative reaction to Target’s Pride collection had a material impact on sales, Target CEO Brian Cornell said on a call with reporters.”As we navigate an ever-changing operating and social environment, we are applying what we learned” he added.

Cornell said sales smoothed out when the stores moved the items to the back of the store. He also said Target will continue celebrating Pride Month and other heritage months.

That’s fine. Just don’t be stupid. I personally had the biggest problem with anything aimed at children.

The stores carried a few books for children 2-8: “Bye Bye, Binary,” “Pride 1, 2, 3,” and “I’m Not a Girl.”

A child thinking about sexuality at the ages of 2-8 is because of parents either talking or not talking to their children.

It all comes down to the parents. Always the parents. We also know the pride month celebrations by stores and retailers are fake and virtue signaling.

Target said it moved the merchandise to the back because of threats towards its workers. I believe the only big threat ever came from the left because Target moved the items.

Oh yeah! It was the left: Target stores reportedly received bomb threats for LGBTQ community betrayal
